Assuming that there is an idea in place, will it be easier if people who think they got cheated in a race or had a conflict in a race to have a racing courtroom? Any thoughts? I just thought that if there were stewards actually monitoring the race that it would be time comsuming watching and reviewing every person; and that it would be easier to have a anonymous hotline or google docs submission to report any conflicts.

Having a steward actually sit there and watch will be pretty much the same thing as watching a replay. The bad side of it is that it cuts down on the drivers. Full grids are always wanted. The more, the better.

Either a GoogleDoc or a PM will be used for submission.

EDIT: Just realized: The mods may not like a public record of "bad" drivers. I'm not sure if we should post a link to the GoogleDoc with all the incidents recorded in it, or if we should just make it available upon request.

This looks like a job for CAM! :dopey:
Could you please PM a mod (make sure it's a nice mod :D) about this?

Makin sure everyone sees this. 👍

Well I'm about ready to get this thing kicked off.

We can start next week after I get some final stipulations written down.

My Corvette series will be fully ORB sanctioned and will be the first racing series giving out RFR points for licenses.

We'll do a week of testing the ORB spot races or " Official ORB pick-up races" (which I'll need to come up with a better name for btw...) with different racing templates.

I want you guys to come up with a TON of ideas for different car and track races! Cars from the seasonals, Super cars on small tracks, mixed class, spec, real life tribute series, GT-R vs. 'vette, etc.

We'll wittle them down to the more solid choices and go from there. Each ORB spot race (maybe three times a week) will use a different racing template and once this thing gets going a full schedule will be posted up detailing what races are going to be on what days and such.

@leowan
I already have the spreadsheet for tracking race results up. It's quite simple. I'll finish optimizing it tonight and start asking people for their e-mail addresses that would like to volunteer in submitting data.

Cheers guys, back to work for me.

btw, I see no problem with keeping a record of drivers' incidents.

The VSCS will be starting in a week and a half. I believe it should be another giving RFR points.

And Gatrs. I think that the "Bad" driver list should be made to be only available to race directors/stewards and then only on request.

How does it work?

Someone who wants to have a position in the ORB will fill out the form, the answers that they give are automatically inserted into that spreadsheet, and I'm automatically notified via e-mail.
I'll PM him/her the rest of the details and then they're in!

So... Wardez says he's ready to get things going. I am too. I'm not sure how to apply the ORB info and other such things in my series. Pre-season today, and the series start next week.

What's my question, how to go about a bad driver list?

R1600Turbo
Where's the "custom track approval" position? :(

I think that we'll add that in after we get going.
We could do that at launch, but that would delay it while we get all those details worked out.
If the majority wants to do that at launch, we can go ahead and do that.
But I think that we're all eager to get this started.

Uh-huh.

I hope I get chosen!! :nervous:

Anyways. So how are we going to release everything to the series? I still haven't gotten an answer to one of questions. "How am I going to apply GTP ORB logos, info, licensing, and other things to my series?"

PM sent. I enjoy this job, not too much work, and when there is work required I can do it between homework questions .

Those videos are lagging up on me so much it's not even funny. That doesn't happen when I watch videos. I may be able to do some race videos myself. My brother has a camera, and I would just need my parent's permission to have a youtube account.

When a series admin applies to have their series officially sanctioned (again through a Google Form) a default message will appear that tells them that we will contact them in the future. One of the people that reviews the series and assigns the tier will be notified via e-mail (or by me, haven't decided which) that there is a series waiting to be sanctioned.
One of the people that reviews the series will view the OP, assign it a tier, and provide some basic suggestions on how to improve the series.
They will give the admin links to the official logo, and explain how to apply everything in a default message.

This process will need to be gone through as each season is complete. If the admin wishes to resubmit his series after it's assigned a T4 rating or he/she feels she has improved it, they may do so. But only if the change(s) was major.

And @ED's last comment, I could record videos using my GoPro that I use for karting.

GoPro? I'm going to have to google it. I wish I could get a youtube account. I haven't asked yet. I would really like to record highlights and such for my series.

I have a capture card, but its not the greatest.
Here is a link to a couple Black Ops videos I did with a couple friends so you can see the quality/style (not much of either) YouTube
