Why? It's a premium car so it's readily available, which means more people have it, so more people can sign up. It looks quite close to the DP car too, not that the current one really looks like a DP anyways. I'd rather have a car that will let many people race than having 2 people show up..

I would like to be a DP driver, but I just don't agree with no ABS. Even my 1980 trans am has 4 wheel disc. And yes I'm clean and fast, and follow rules.

The DPs are still Gen-3... GX Mazdas will run GTD next year.

Welcome. We have no abs because that's what is done in real life. When we started, it was pretty much any aids. It was abs and tc only for a season or two then it became abs only, and now here we are with no driving aids. Originally, people were not interested because we had racing soft tires with driving aids. We got rid of the racing soft, and npw we have no aids. Last season was great in both classes if I'm not mistaken.

I consider it Gen 4 because of all the upgrades they'll get to keep up with LMP2.

Well, if memory serves, the reason why DP existed was because the fought Daytona were to dangerous for LMP. So you got a point there.

I think that's a load.
I know that's their reasoning, but I don't believe that is the true reason.
Le Mans is undoubtably just as quick, if not quicker than Daytona and it's lined with trees. Daytona has more safety features, and I don't think they would go as fast in a straight line because they would need more drag downforce for the infield.
