Good race guys. Some valuable lessons learned. I'll update the race schedule cards with the stats when RT posts the official results from both rooms.

A's just getting faster.

Group B's room is still open if anyone wants some practice at INDY tonight.
Room Closed :gtpflag:

Add me on PSN so you can join the room!

As soon as I get Group B's results, I'll get everything posted up.

Man, I'm sorry to have missed tonight's race, but I've never driven so much as a car length on the Nurb GP track, and I didn't figure that qualifying was the time to try learning it. I just don't get much chance during the week to put in more than about an hour and this week I didn't even get that.

Great race to the Group B guys. I had a good close race with Brosif to start with, but I may have shot myself in the foot by not making sure that my tyres wear evenly. Really enjoyed my first real race with you guys, looking forward to some more.

Nice race in group a. I just realised that i had forgotten to change the oil of my miata before the race. And i was wondering why i was loosing so much time after 26 lap. fu:censored: :D

mind numbingly intense race. Got punted and stuck in the barricades on the chicane first lap:mad: but I regained my starting position of 7th and had an entertaining battle for 6th with tsnacks which was very satisfying:sly:.

another great race, imma try getting a mic, not communicating mid race is getting old

You can use any bluetooth mic. You don't have to buy the Sony one at gamestop.

Sorry about that lag issues I had on that chicane. I know Dethcore got hit too. =(

What do you need to communicate mid-race? I was finding it distracting hearing people talking about all sorts of weird stuff. I distinctly heard someone mention chicken. If there was a mute button mid-race I would have hit it.

You and me both.

I vote not to have such long races next season. 30 minutes max. I'm afraid I'll get a pressure ulcer if this keeps up. :nervous:

Since I introduced the topic, what changes are you considering next season, Turbo?

I was talking to Brosifduder and we like the idea of a fixed suspension kit and lowering the tires down to Sport Medium.

LoL, yea that chicken stuff and background household conversations are annoying to say the least, also could do without the cursing, but many times I can't chat on certain screens and If I have a question or comment, im screwed

I might vote for a ban on mics during the races. Keeps the race running smoothly, and there's not much background noise going on. (although Group A is relatively quiet)

As far as next season, definitely fixed sport suspension, maybe on the tires, and definitely some more interesting tracks. 👍

Cutting mics out should improve connection quality, although I seem to be the only one this race to have lagged.

I'm not sure how I feel about indy for the next race, so I'm a 👍 on the more interesting tracks!

missed the race today due to setting up hd capture card
when i finally got it working the way it should , was way past race start.
i ended up joining the A race lobby and managed to capture the leaders for the last 10 laps. (R1600Turbo & El-Zissou)

Currently chopping / encoding for upload to youtube (10 laps was 140GB of uncompressed 720p60fps)

i may even have the possibility of streaming it live at some point - but thats a project for another weekend :P

I had fun but I spent a lot of time trying to stay on the lead lap. I really should have practiced more this past week. I could hit my qualifying time but that was still WAY off pace.

More practice in the future for me.

Thanks EGG for the setup, for real.👍

Even though I didn't run that well your setup was only a little different than my old one but a lot better.

I just watched Spyhunter spin in front of the entire field on the front stretch, and nobody hit him. Sorry man, not funny at all but really cool to watch. :D

I wish you could switch views during the replay. I wanted to see what it looked like from someone right behind you, but I can't. :(

Edit: Posted the updated points for Group A. I don't have any of Group B's results yet.

I agreed with sport mediums and fixed suspension, I wouldn even vote for sport hard as that is what we run in the CR.net series and that tire makes u work hard mid corner, no slamming the throttle mid corner like with the sport softs.

I can tell you it was intense. He was sideways to the left of us, swerved and was sideways on the right... I didn't know where he was going to end up! He swerved back left in between some cars and we dodged him. I didn't look back after that so I don't know if he swerved back to the inside again after me.

I hope they change the camera issue in an update. I can even live with not being able to view other people by anything but the normal race view, but at least being able to cycle through the cams on yourself would be greatly appreciated. Then I could at least show you how hectic is was for us when he started fishtailing.

Check your e-mail.

Edit: I'll get the replay out to you tomorrow.

I think banning mics would cause more trouble than good. Being able to communicate verbally is a nice tool and I personally enjoy the interactivity. I think what we really should be trying to do, if we feel that background noise is a problem, is encourage people to use the "mute" button on their mic so people are not disturbing others.

Oh and I also wanted to mention that it never hurts to power cycle your modem and router before a race. It could help some of you that are having issues with lag.

Rce went horribily for me. My car is at the full 138hp with the alowed single plate clutch but still feels slower than others on straights. I think I need a better setup, because in all those 40 laps I never did better than a 1:51

Your exit speeds from the corners leading onto the front and back straights were too slow.
