GTP United Sports Car Championship | Season 6 | Series Finished!Finished

I sure hope the DW guys are quick and can do sub 1:40, or this'll be about an hour long.... I wanna pick up my girl from her night out later. :D

That was a fun race despite all I did was cruise around Daytona.

Congrats to our winners :).

Now if you excuse me I need to do more practicing and tuning.

Storm, Lancer don't leave lobby during race. Storm caused me to spin...FH, good race. You were more consistent.

This photo, by the way..... We need minimum and maximum downforce levels. 1 time I draft behind a DW and I start to drive a Porsche 911 GT1......

GT looked more fun but I did enjoy P.

Hopefully, I can pull better laps and keep consistent.

Also the DW didn't need to pit throughout the whole race.

Sorry I didn't compete. Didn't realize you guys would be silly enough to hold a race in the same day as the real race

I'll be in the next one, or any future online test session you guys have as I really need to see how I get on with the specs in relation with you guys.

Wheelie setup? You really came on during the second half of the race. I swear I thought you were a DW coming up to pass me then I looked back and saw your name :eek::eek:.

My car got worse after the pit stop. Braking points were useless to me and had tons of understeer. Crossing my fingers that this will get fixed before the season starts. C'mon PD!!!!

Was that going into turn one?

@RACECAR yeah, we are kinda stupid :P but it was still fun, look forward to seeing you at silver stone!

I found no difference except the gearbox. Pit stop = new gearbox?  I said 280 km/h, give me 280 km/h.

That said, I had 0 downforce up front. I mean minimum downforce possible. Car was a kite. Good speed, lots of low-end grip (last second setup change FOR THE WIN) but very difficult on oval and turn 1. No grip......

I found the gt cars were pushing way too much on the oval

It kept changing

I had a few problems with my setup.

It is slipperly when I break while turning.
It is pretty understeery in the oval. (@Storm_SP17 I just found out the DW has no front Aero XD). As well as the high speed section in the infield.
It is rather slow when it comes to top speed.

Hopefully I can solve all 3 issues and get a perfect setup for me. Then I'll get some proper training done :).

I went back to look at my lap times. They seem pretty consistent. Placebo? But then what about the other guys complaining about physics change?

I was running full aero tonight btw. Car did absolutely nothing in the draft.

I ran Max downforce because that was the fastest in gt5 no matter what track. I was just making too many mistakes to be anywhere. I'll Do some practice at silverstone so I don't have another outing like that.

I have to say, that qualifying was crazy xD I chose group qualifying, but it spawned us all I'm the most awkward way... And qualifying ends whenever that clock hits 0! I think 10 minutes of qualifying is needed, but overall I think it was pretty good.

Like I said, "Race Alone." ITCC is running its smoothest season ever because we don't even have pace laps and the grid is set properly every time. 👍 It's awesome not having to worry about spec checks, qualifying order or other unnecessary nonsense.

You should try that type of qualifying.

Yeah, I was a little confused. I was thinking I wasnt going to see anyone on track. Then I saw Mel next to me. So I thought, maybe its his ghost. Gave him a little tap...nope.

Well after searching for nearly 30 mins I found this: http://stream.speedtv.com/rolex24

I think Daytona on time change has track temp variations that cause the cars to change their behavior a little bit. I noticed my car had more grip during daytime than night time; The 2012 is definitely harder to drive than the 2013, so beware if your having trouble with it that although you can go 1 mph faster on the 2012 down the tri-oval its at the cost of major drifting!

If you get Fox Sports 1, it switches back to that channel at 7. But yeah, they need to make it more accessible in the future. I was on the IMSA website and couldnt find the link to stream. But the link they posted was definitely through the website.

As I said, I was going to be picking up my girlfriend from her night out last night, hence why I backed out. Sorry if I felt my girlfriend took precedence over staying and racing in the lobby @ITCC_Andrew, but it's kinda true.

I seriously doubt something like that put you off though, I'd have taken some responsibility if I'd written something and it distracted you, which is why I didn't... but with people coming and going from the lobby anyway (as always I might add) it just seems a bit of a cop out that when I leave, specifically, and you make a mistake that means you don't win, I get blamed.

Not bad I suppose, messed with the tune a little more than I needed to and the Mercedes was pretty green (lolseewhatididthere? :P) around Daytona. Struggled to 1:50's in the race and only averaged 157mph at the Bus Stop, but the car was pretty solid and stable. Tyres did fail to grip for a long time after the pit stop, and because I noticed the tune was not as fast on the straights as I was expecting I overcompensated on the corners and made mistakes.

I did a bit of testing later with the older tune and was pulling 1:49's out of areas of my body that scarcely ever see the light of day.... Potential for high or high-mid 1:48's, for sure, especially considering the older tune gave me a consistent average of 163mph coming into the Bus Stop. All it would take was for me to have a more refined entry into bus stop, and I'm shaving half a second off, sadly it was late, had dropped my girlfriend back home and I wanted sleep.

I have no problem if you leave the circuit, but if you leave the lobby... That's an unnecessary distraction. I was running 1:48s, completely in my zone, but you caused me to lose the concentration.

I'm just saying... You would find it irritating if someone backed out, caused a frame rate drop and ultimately caused you to spin like three or four seconds later.

What you could've done, for your information, would've been to simply pull way off of the track and wait off the timer. Like, stay on the track but in a deep, dark corner. No lag, you're not in the way, you're not distracting and you still get money.

So I did some online races at Daytona last night and is it just me, or does the grip change lap to lap?
