GTP United Sports Car Championship | Season 6 | Series Finished!Finished 

It seemed like I couldn't brake straight like I normally can with the car jumping to the side.
 
Well in this instance I couldn't help but be an unnecessary distraction because I had to be elsewhere, and didn't see the point in leaving my PS3 on while I was away and set on going to bed once I'd come back in. I had returned to the PS3, for a little while, but not long enough to sign into PSN. I'd spent an hour or more in single-digit Celcius figures, numb fingers and toes

Besides, the frame rate drop would have happened to everyone, and I raced in ToCA earlier that evening with people dropping out and I didn't do any crazy spins or such, and there were 15 people in the lobby and about 14 of those racing prior to drops outs.

I had stopped on-track, I was texting to see when my girl wanted picking up. I backed out and was waiting for a while before I quit the lobby, which is when she got back to me and wanted me to pick her up.

eh, I think you'll live. It's -27 C here right now. Maybe -35 inland. :lol: Anyways you guys, I dont leave the room during races but if you have to you have to, sometimes people get Disconnected (like 85% of the time in Gran Turismo somebody does.)
 
Yeah I know, Rich. I'm just saying, I'm not in a nice warm room indoors away from the cold, I'm essentially out IN the cold. I'm just glad that it isn't -27 or -35, or I'd be an amputee by now.

Anyway, PD servers are not very good, and we've all experienced how that isn't really our fault, be it drop outs leading to dropped frame rates or the Monza Mass Malfunctions of 2012 Season One and Two.

Stallio-no-show? I was just about to ask when you would take him down. Guy never came to ITCC, then complained about not having a teammate - even though he had a teammate... And then decided to rant on about how terrible the racing was - even though he never bothered to show up. :mad:

Yes and no. I'm only saying that because I don't like seeing people take up spots that they don't intend to actually show up to.

The whole problem is that someone who actually wants to race could be stuck having to deal with the inavailability of seats for the car they want, although the seat isn't actually taken.


It's a serious pet-peeve.



Sorry for the rant. I just hope that all of these things don't lock an honest, fair driver out of this series... Or ITCC, although that's unlikely since there are 40 slots... But, that's the idea behind why it's a pet peeve and why I rant about it.


But, for this guy to say what he said about ITCC (can't remember exactly) having never even been to a race, that just drove me nuts.
 
So whats going on this week, another test or Daytona for real? How long will Daytona be BTW.... 2.4 hours or is that too much? I remember doing 4 hrs of Nurburgring on GTP back in 2011, I remember how glad I was to be done! That was really something.

This week we do silverstone for another preseason. The following week will be daytona, about 40 laps.
 
Well, I may have gotten myself into abit of a pickle here as I also have a race in the VLN race on Saturday. If the times don't clash, I actually may make it.

Yep, that would be them (which is on the 22nd). I'm gonna be in the support race before it.
 
There was a similar idea floating around here a while ago. Glad to see something similar is actually going to happen. Are there any plans to stream the race online? Or maybe a highlight video or something? Im interested to see how this all came together in the end.
 
I was always interested in those long endurance events but I can never find a partner (my friends are all FPS fans). I do plan to hold one myself (but not that long).

The only physics change I see is that Dirt slows you down A LOT more. Which I guess is a good thing for Willow Springs.

Cannot understand GMT so want to ask if this time will clash with this pre-season race.
 
I believe you subtract 5 hours to convert it to EST. He's using a 24 hour clock. So your race start would be at 1700EST, which equals to 5 PM EST.
