I reckon it counts.Just for clarification, Covers don't count, but what about the original song with the vocal track removed( Karaoke version)?
Hearing any part of the song counts as a whamming.
But it's not the original song with George on it. So technically, it shouldn't count.I reckon it counts.

Let @Daniel call it. I see it as it's not the original song, just the original instrumental part. Plus, instrumental karaoke versions aren't exactly the same as the originals.Any part of the (original) song though. The instrumental parts are part of the song.
Richard Ramirez's favourite song right? You have to admit that the song is pretty satanic.
"Last Christmas I gave you my heart... "
It's right up their alley.

I ask because I just heard the song but no vocals from the George Michael, but from the children who sang it.
I reckon it counts.

The main issue here is where to draw the line between what's 'original' and what's not.Let @Daniel call it. I see it as it's not the original song, just the original instrumental part. Plus, instrumental karaoke versions aren't exactly the same as the originals.
If I heard a karaoke version & believed the instrumentals to be recorded by Wham! I would consider myself whammed. Obviously it's just a bit of fun though so I understand your leniency. The main issue here is where to draw the line between what's 'original' and what's not.
Does karaoke count if it's just the original song with the vocals taken out (i.e. Jon Sudano's video)? Does a mash-up count if it's just the original song with another played on top (Whamnam style)? Does it count if the stars align and George and Michael announce a comeback tour and play the song live?
For the sake of being lenient, I'll let the instrumental version pass. However if you hear the song out in public, use your best judgement in deciding whether you've been whammed or not.

I think.
Odd that you asked that my application be accompanied with a vial of blood, then. I don't have to be concerned with establishing an alibi, do I?I would have done the same thing, but at the end of the day this is a silly game that we're playing. Not a legal binding contract.
In a rather lackluster an anti-climatic fashion I am officially out. Making it through last year I felt that I could make it through this year. Well last year I finally opened Jordan's message in February.
I have a feeling my lovely wife called into a radio station plotting the perfect moment when she drove me to work this morning. The moment she turned on the car there it was playing on the radio... it took a moment for it to register in my mind because I have not heard this song since last February.
Totally Whammed in the kisser this morning.
Should that not be ToyGT-Gone?
I kinda feel envious for you lot who have been whammed. You don't have to spend every minute hopping into this site worried about what @Jordan might do to Wham you .
Might have to make a music video using those new lyrics :-)Sing along everybody :
Last February, you heard the song.
For the rest of the year what could go wrong?
This day, you got Whammed anyway.
I hope it was by someone special.
