It probably won't help you Dion but I managed a 46.7 with my controller. No idea what I would achieve with a wheel though and theoretically I can go around 2 tenths faster. I got a bit of wheel spin out of the first corner when using 2nd gear so that's why i'm using 3rd. You can also manage throttle or get on the gas a bit later. It's mainly for me and other controller users because it's hard to manage throttle.

Guys the maintenance scheduled for Wednesday has been extended for 12 hours according to the news section in the game, cutting into our EU race .

Oh, for Pete's sake. I was going to suggest an Oceania slot or practice at 1130ish GMT. I just can't do the EU slots anymore, even with DST moving back. Maybe Thursday?

You may not like my gearing but key is to use 1 gear higher than what you think you should use. I never use 1st gear; I use 3rd gear through the first corner and the corner out of the second tunnel. It may feel slow but laptimes don't lie. And it also helps with tyres wear.

I wrote down the wrong gearing numbers. Corrected now.
EDIT: A minor change to the gearing.
New PB: 1'46.547

You can attend the EU pre-race practise on tuesday evening if you have time. We may do a few small races and that also gives you the opportunity to test your connection.

See you guys dug up one of my "recommended tunes" from the PURE | JGTS thread. 👍

The tune is a solid base setup, but was mainly used on Monaco and Spa, cause that's where we did most of our testing, apart from Suzuka... aaaand a few other tracks.. LOL

I'm going to double check my schedule and see if there's any possibility for me to join eithr of the 2 races.
Is it "first come, first serve", or does quali time determine if you get to race?

I also read some discussions regarding the DENSO and PETRONAS. I can assure you that they are both equal.
There's a really really small differance in caracteristics, but the cars are defenetly on par. 👍

If you and Dion show up for EU, that would be 17, so we'd split into 2 rooms. Popular race!
We do our best to accommodate as many drivers as possible, up to 32.

Perhaps I mixed things up.

I've re-registered for the event. I'm going to have to run automatic transmission as my paddles have gone completely south and losing about 0.50-0.75 per lap, but it's too fun a combo to miss. I can manage a 1'47.45, but it's harder on tires with the AT transmission so not going to be too competitive I think.

Busted wheel isn't going to stop you Tim, it's playoff season, you're expected to play hurt 👍
Besides, I'm lapping at 48'2 as my PB - looking forward to a bit of practice today to figure out where the 47's are.

I don't know either - this event really has me stumped.
Usually Tim and myself are separated by ~0.1 not 1.0

I only have Dennis' tune left to try, so it's down to the wire for this one.
