That was nice again, thanks guys. I hope PD will do something about the online issues. Some people only saw 4 or 5 racers despite we were 14 on track.

Good racing everyone in the C lounge. Saw some great battles between lots of different guys out there which is great to see, and most of you were racing with us for the first time, so good experience to get under your belt. Good clean, close racing is something that takes a while to learn, and is certainly not easy, so the more practice the better.

GTP_hessi and Turok-134- both stood out to me whilst I was watching, both of you guys were really clean, good awareness around you and seen you both give back positions when you felt you may have been in the wrong where contact was made, so good observation of the OLR. But that's not to say the rest of you guys did badly at all! I will just say to all that raced today, if you are new, and you haven't yet read the OLR, that is a must-do and we expect everyone to conform to it while racing, if you've raced before, then refresh your memory!

One incident I did just want to mention, @LittlePaul78 in the last race, you made a mistake on the final corner coming onto the start/finish straight and were in the grass. You blindly entered the track without checking the positions of other guys on track, and drove straight out in front of someone. That is a very fast corner, and you caused the person behind you to smash straight into the side. And then you did it again straight after! I think that time the guy managed to dodge you, but you must do your best to observe others on track. If you make a mistake and come off track, it's your responsibility to ensure you do not impede anyone that might be around you whilst re-entering the track. If that means waiting until the all other cars are safely through then so be it.

I apolagise for making an example of you, please don't be off-put or take it personally, but this is a good lesson we can all learn from :)

Yeah... was hoping this would be much improved in GT6, but seems that nothing changed from GT5.

Anyway, great racing. Internet died 10 minutes before the session so I lost the first race, managed to join the second but was still nervous and crashed a lot. Third race was much better! A very nice first WRS session.

thx for the fun tonight guys !

Any1 got any tips for a newbie to improve times ?
After the race I think i need to lose the ABS feature and learn to drive on MT ...
Other stuff ?
:)

Just try to practise, join others when doing so, you will quickly learn all sort of things that will improve youre driving skills đź‘Ť

Well for my first WRS race I absolutely loved it made a hash of the last race but first two I really got stuck in.
Was bit shocked to be racing with the likes of bandit and pasm and other top guys but learnt a lot following the race lines
Roll on next week

ABS is tricky with controller, but fast with wheel. Not Div. 1 gold fast, mind, but relatively fast.

Focus on proper trailbraking technique in GT6. That's the biggest difference between GT5 and GT6, and everyone's still improving their trailbraking.

You will find that must of us drive with ABS on, but if you feel that you prefer it off, we won't stop you. Manual transmission can be very important with some combos, so I would highly recommend that, and it isn't really too difficult to learn. Other than that, like Frank said, drive with others, participate in the weekly time trials and pick up hints, watch the top guys replays, and you will build up your skills.

Good fun, clean and fair racing and a joy to race with the D1 drivers. I do want to mention GTP_Skyline, and GTP_Turbosnail as both being new racers in the WRS. You guys where clean and fair, and I hope we will encounter eachother on track in future races đź‘Ť

Thanks oink for the kind words, I had great fun and am extremely happy I didn't make a fool out of myself first time with you... The first lap of the first race made me anxious, I'm lucky I spun out on my own and didn't take anyone with me.
I really enjoyed racing all of you guys, but of course, the battles I had with Sjaak and Alli stood out - extremely cool, might be my best moments in GT5 and GT6 combined so far.

Sjaak, thanks, I owe you one...

Must admit it wasn't my most enjoyable nights, however the first race did help make sure it at least was enjoyable :)! I'll be uploading that one tomorrow!

I have uploaded my qualification lap from tonight which was a 1:24.326. It was close to being a dirty lap (Wasn't intentional, I broke and car swung that way) but still just had 2 tyres on the kerbs (And still alot to do to finish the lap). Great laps from everyone in qualification and it really was close at the top!

Few things from my perspective really;

1st Race: Absolutely epic, 4 cars all so tight, absolutely epic to drive in! Won't spoil to much as I'll upload the video but well worth the watch!!

2nd Race: Initially was going ok, but there was an incident that built up to a point where I became involved and it all built up through half a lap really, anyway that led to me nearly spinning but all sorted now I think? Anyway after that had a cracking battle with Matthew until the end :D!!

3rd Race: Initially set off, saw twissy go for the outside, and knew he had me at that point :P! Anyhow after that I got stuck in 1 lane of traffic went to the back, tried to work my way back up, and ended up being wiped out on one corner, I thought the person would then let me through as that was pretty crazy, appeared not but eventually overtook to try catch up. I then ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time again and lost out (Never fancy going 2 wide into the last corner, so broke hard to let people through), at that point I was just frustrated as you have to push so hard to catch up to have any enjoyment! Hopefully that's the last bad race for awhile!

Apologies to Matthew on last corner of the last lap, accidently hit the grass and was sideways :D! Did let you through though as I did compromise your run! Well played Matthew, had some good clean racing with you đź‘Ť

Really enjoyed myself tonight, even if the car had a bit too much understeer for my liking. Hopefully next week will be the Lancia Stratos to balance it out :D

Thanks Tidgney, no worries about that last lap

The second race was especially exciting, I might upload it yet.

No room placements for the NA race??
I think you meant this to be in this thread, Gayle. We're having 2 lounges so there should be room.

EDIT: Maybe 3 lounges. We'll have the assignments up before 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern / 2am GMT.

Sorry guys, I can't race tonight. The current time slot is too late given my current work schedule.

Good luck everyone, hopefully I can join you once my schedule changes in a few weeks.

Do we post a lap time to be allowed in, or just post a lap time to try to get into fastest lounge?

We do not have a minimum lap time required to race, we never had. It just serves as a way to determine who races in which lobby.

Announcement about lobby assignments is on it's way.

Sorry for the delay, racers. :)

If the definition of a "clean line" is what I saw in practice tonight, there are at least a couple of questionable "clean" fastest laps posted on the leader board.
