1'27.251 is the best I got after about 60 laps. I watched the videos, but I'm still losing 1-2 secs in sectors 2 and 3. Getting a little frustrated, but I'm still looking forward to race (respectively drive behind) you guys on wednesday...

Thanks, will sign up later today. I just hope you guys are ready for me. I'm going to have to double up on my anxiety meds, I can see that right now.
It's great to see you taking the plunge and giving this a shot đź‘Ť On the day, given that this is multiple sprint races, if you feel somewhat overwhelmed, or not 100% sure, just sit the first one and watch the race from the lobby, and see how things go, or some guys like to allow themselves to slide to the back of the pack and just race from there so they aren't too squeezed up in things and you can race at your own pace.

Of course if you're feeling great about it then get stuck right in!

I'm in a practice room right now, sweating bullets, and its just practice. I'm going to be a nervous wreck. :nervous:

I can only second that - just spent 2 hours in the practice room with 5-6 races inbetween. Not an Onliner myself I was quite nervous and actually happy every time I was in the last row at start. Whenever that wasn't the case it didn't take me too long to get into last place, which I was happy to keep and just follow the pack.

Felt a little bit bad for just waiting for someone else to make a mistake in front of me, but hey, that's life.

And I did have some really cool challenges in nearly all of the races.

You are a nice bunch, thank you.

I think you did pretty well if I'm honest you were very consistent in race pace,
I however need to cut the silly mistakes out kept double downshifting in final corner and same on entrance to the first tunnel if I can cut that out I was getting close to a high 24

Room is still going strong (host is GTP_Revoy), and we haven't scared Cargo off yet. :P

I had a go this afternoon! Managed to get 2 sprint races in. I did not notice my best lap time so I will have to jump on later tonight after little one goes to bed. Great to see Cargo and a couple of other new guys racing today. I spent the better part of year racing from the back. Never give up, I just kept showing up and I am so much more comfortable in a pack now. The Academy helped immensely, we should have that up and running again soon!

I just left after a long session. I too am always a little nervous running with others. The practice sessions the last 2 days helped with that, as I felt really comfortable racing in a pack of cars. These practices are a great way to improve in racing and meet lots of people.

I spent about 2 hours in the room today until I got disconnected. I must say, even though I spent all the time in the back, I did rather enjoy myself in the sense of the challenge of trying to keep up with everyone. I would like to thank everyone that was there today for having the patience to put up with me. I know a few times I got in a few peoples way and I sincerely apologize for that. In the future, I'll try to get better at pulling over to let you all by. I look forward to many more activities online with you all, if you'll have me. Thanks again for allowing me the opportunity to run and practice with you guys, I really appreciate it.

EDIT: One more thing before I go. Maybe I shouldn't even bring this up, but it really bothers me and it was kind of a slap in the face, as it should have been to others. I really didn't see the need for banditkarter to lower his power by 20% in order to handicap himself. In my opinion, that was just a show of elitism, as if to say, you all are too slow for me so I have to handicap myself in order to get some good competition. That really didn't sit well with me and I almost left when he did that, as it made me feel even more inferior than I already do. I mean, I'm here to learn, not have someone throw their skill in my face, which I felt he was doing. I know he said he did it so he could practice racecraft, but that could have been accomplished by simply dropping back in the pack and working his way back through the pack. Not trying to start anything here, but just thought I'd bring it up as it does bother me. If I'm out of line here about this, then I apologize. I just don't see that as an act of good sportsmanship, that's all.

@CargoRatt
As far as pulling over Mitch, I have a problem with that do to my competitive nature. I am 6th in line in a large family and there was always competition with the elder siblings. The heat of competition over comes me and I forget to respect the faster racer's. I am thankful to the WRS people involved in allowing me to compete and experience will prevail and my skills will improve, just it has with you!! Great to see you out there!!!

Yes, and registrations are already open ;). The image is not yet there though but it will be soon.

I'm sorry if you felt like that. But it was only to test myself as there wasn't much point running ahead of everyone because it was getting boring. I don't need to do stuff like that to prove how fast I am.
EDIT: And I did ask before I did it if everyone was okay, so of course if you had let me know at the time then I wouldn't have done it if you didn't want me to.

lol I think that was the first race that i ran with u n u were down on power lol

Mitch, John did ask ahead of time and gave his reason. The previous few races he was running away with, so I personally had no issue with him lowering power to be in the mix with us mortals. The nice thing about that race was Lucas could say he beat Bandit .
