I have but they are offline. How can I connect to their lunges if they are offline?

They are offline most of the time. Nobody use these account for racing, they are only online for accept FR and change the lounges settings if needed.

To enter the lounge, go to community on gt5, click on the appropiate psn account. Then, click on the coffee cup to check who is already in the lounge. then, click on "rejoin". You can do this even if they are offline...

What gmt time are these open usually?
As Wardez and Litchi answered the first part of your question, I'll take the second part. :)

GMT times when there's the most activity in the GTP_3D3Racing lounge will be EU evenings (roughly 18:00 till 23:00 GMT) and NA evenings (roughly 02:00 till 07:00 GMT).
EU evenings are your next day (early) mornings.

Hoping this was of some help.

I think I'll be able to join in about 1.5hrs. Don't know if you'll still be there then...

I am torn. The 29th is the first official test and tune day at my kart track. I have alot of work to do on my kart and it would be incredibly beneficial for me to be there that day when everyone else is as I am quite new to the sport and need all the help I can get.

On the other hand, this enduro is gonna be freakin' awesome! I've been tuning and practicing quite a bit already and really don't want to miss the big race.

Any suggestions?

You don't get many chances to race in a kart, and WRS (and other series in fact) races like this aren't too much of a rarity. Just think.. would you rather win in real-life or virtual-life ;)

Agree with Biffy. You can always join us on Saturday for the support races to leverage all the practice you've put in. Just note that we are not planning to run another Enduro for some time... at minimum late summer or early fall. We've got some other ideas for special events to run in the meantime though so there will still be plenty of fun to be had.

Was on a hotlap which could've faster than 15.5 and I got disconnected :ouch: frustrating, but while this is a wild beast to tame, I may just be able to reach 14s with a really good tune and lots of practice. May just end up going for the Enduro itself, we'll see.

Thanks for the answers, all clear now 👍

Did some long running testing today. Set a fastest lap of 1'17.3 :(, but after 12 laps ran a 1'19.4.

I did the same. I ran a 1'18 on lap 11, but slowed quite a bit on lap 12 and ran in the 1'20s.

I tried to be very easy on throttle at the beginning of the stint to save the rear tires (which cost me about 0.5 per lap) and the tire wear was pretty good, but around lap 7 the tire level started to drop more rapidly regardless.

The first sign of the wear was the exit of the hairpin in T1 where it got hard to maintain any forward bite without short shifting. Then the turn after corkskrew started getting very "drifty" at lap 11.

Lap 2-8:

17.366, 17.277, 17.094, 17.042, 17.229, 17.903, 17.662,

Laps 9-12:

19.001, 19.440, 18.904, 20.188

The corkscrew was manageable because I wasn't really pushing through there like I would do in a quali run.

Made a few mistakes on my quali run, didn't get the time I was aiming for but still very happy with it. Afterwards I got in a good groove, made a line change thanks to Tim's help, and turned a 1'15.974, only my second lap touching the 15's. Thanks again to Tim for observing my lap.👍

Glad I could be of some help.

I started getting back in the groove a bit myself after a couple days driving the Jaguar @ DRC (man those races were epic). Although I wasn't able to set any PR laps, I was able to pretty consistently get into the high 1'15s in 3 lap runs toward the end of the session. I may qualify tomorrow night if there is another steward online... I had half a mind to do it tonight, but nobody was online.

Sorry, Tim, I would have loved to watch your run last night, but was working late. 👎

Can't say 100% I could make it tonight, but I'll try. I'll probably have to wait till Sunday night for my quali. :scared:

Hey guys are you using racing soft tires for the qualifying? Or are you guys just really fast?

Racing Hards are the only tires allowed for practice, qualifying, and racing.

They're just really fast. :P Qualifying rules are the same as the race; power, weight, PP, and tires are all the same.

A reminder that the "primary" LMP qualifying window closes on Sunday at 10:00 PM Pacific!

Qualifying Deadlines

LMP Class

Sunday April 22 (10:00 PM Pacific)

img.php

Any "new to the registry" drivers who have submitted a registry qualifier and are waiting to be processed are welcome to qualify before being admitted to the registry so that you can make the deadline. The only two requirements are:

  1. The registry qualifier must be submitted before you run qualifying for this enduro event.
  2. A GTP tag PSN account must be used to run your enduro qualifer. The lounges will not accept friend requests from non GTP tag accounts and you must run the qualifier in one of the 3D3 lounges.

Assuming you satisfy those two requirements, post to this thread requesting a steward and we'll add you to the GTP_3D3_B lounge friends list and observe your qualifying run.

Also note that I said "primary" window above. That's because if space permits we will accept late qualifying right up until the time of the support races on Saturday. However, anyone who qualifies late (*after* the deadline for that class) cannot qualify in front of anyone that meets the deadline regardless of lap time. In other words, if you don't get your run in before the deadline you won't racing in race lounge "A".

May i qualify for the rx7 series? as i am not going to be able to make the lmp class in time.... need a steward's room to qualify?....anyone available? Should i give a qualifying time from practice mode or from my lounge?

While you waiting for a steward, I suggest you first run the GTP Registry Qualifier with your GTP_ account.

Once you are done with that, you can send an FR on PSN to GTP_3D3_B.

Oh really? So I can still qualify for this race while I'm waiting to be officially added to the GTP registry? I just have to submit a GTP Registry qualifier time to Vaxen?

All qualifying will be done online in a lounge with a steward present and the lounge must be set up to the specs outlined in the OP.

If you want to post your practice times (see 5th post of thread) you should run those laps with the specs, but a steward is not required to be present. Those practice times are just for the leaderboard and not official or used in any way except for informational purposes.

You've already been added, man. You can qualify for the Enduro/Support Races any time you're ready, assuming a steward is available. 👍 Obviously, go through the event sign-up steps first.
