Not sure of your question there. You will need the re-phrase it for me.👍

Here's my replay.

I'm surprised I qualified - I reckon I must have been the only one in D1 gold to give it a decent go!

Well done to everyone, especially mr_VOLCANO for the top overall time - looking forward to the next round (assuming my run is deemed to be clean!)

👍

Kindly Verified as clean by Manuelos.

grim:: I have unzipped file on my cell phone, but when I try on ps its not there.. do you know why..?

Only 52 submissions in total? Would be interesting to know why so many people decided not too submit. Was it too hard? Didn't like the event? Not enough time?

for me it was a combination of this 3 things.

i thinks it's better to do a qualifing lap during the same conditions as where we gonna race.
for example the race is a 800pp on fuji, then we do a qualifing lap on fuji 800pp. that way we gonna get more interresting races.

anybody agree with me?

I know why. I will try to explain. you need to get rid of your replay out of the way and just have Waynes for transfering. You then need to look at the file and make sure that the file path is as follows. PS3/Savedata/ then there will be a file in the savedata file, which should have the replay files in.

Try that, to see if it helps. It worked for me.

Congrats to all the qualifiers moving on to stage 2 in the first gtp registry event. Well done and some great times in Division 1.

Good luck in stage 2.

Sphinx....👍 👍

It will be the program that you are using to unzip the file. It isn;t recognising the files for some reason. I had the same problem with the Extractor on Windows Vista. So I downloaded WinRar and that sorted it, and the replays worked fine. I am sure there is a Winrar Version for pocket Pc's and phones. It would be easier to sort out on a computer. Have you any options to view the files before you unzip them, because if you can view the files you can extract them that way.

P.s Just managed to get this car into the 1'43's, run was dirty though. Now that can be done, I have a target time to set.

I for one found this a very hard one, almost had me throwing the PS3 out the window, until I decided that I was going to do it relaxed, after which I almost immediately got a clean lap. Not a fast one, but at least it was nice and clean. :)

Too difficult in the fact the your controlled by the randomness of the AI.
I raced again this morning with some competitive-ish times, but almost imperceptible touches from the AI cars who drift into my racing line would have me disqualified. Sure I could hang back and pass the cars when there is plenty of room, which straight away puts me 2, 3 seconds of a lap time off what I am capable of given an 'untouched' run.
I didn't mind the event, the car and course are fun to drive, I had plenty of time... I attempted this well over 100 times I would imagine. but there only so many restarts after 3 corners that i want to do.
I think the fact that so few submitted speaks volumes about the nature of this event.
And at the end of the day, why bother ? ONE driver from each medal class goes through. So you may be a D1G driver, who came second fastest in D1, but faster than everyone else, but you still lose, and a guy who who may have a time 5, 10 seconds slower than you goes through to challenge.
So the chances of advancing past this one race are minimal at best, and suddenly 90% of the drivers have no involvement in the following events.
Very well done to the drivers who did the times, and some very fast ones there too. But the logic and reasoning behind this challenge eludes me.

I too struggled with the AI and my time shows it, but I do believe it has made me a better driver. And when I finally got a clean race, it was fun.

If it was just the fastest 16 drivers, I think there would have been even fewer entries. There was no way I could compete with most of the other drivers, but I did have a chance against the other Div 4 drivers.

There will be many more events. This happens to be a (at least) 2 part event. I am sure there will be many other events and eventually you will get one that really suits you and you will have fun and be competitive.

I think a lot of the questions and concerns are because there are so many people here that never participated in the WRS.

Hi
I tried to submit my specII replay from work today but I had a couple of files that looked the same and did not want submit the wrong one!
Will down load again and send tommorrow.
Still buzzing from getting this far.

Thanks Sphinx - this has made me think on a whole new level.

Can someone tell me what happens with the specIII times and how that will affect
the competition.

I believe the whole point of the exercise was to point out the difference between a htolap and an actual race. I didn't enjoy the whole exercise either, but in the end I think it taught me some valuable stuff. :)

If I had the perfect line-up I feel I could have been more competitve. Clearly, 4th place in Div 3 shows I wasn't the only one without a perfect line-up though.
I guess this means I don't need to submit a replay as I didn't qualify for stage 2.:)

I invested a couple of hours in this event early on, but I had 2 major issues with it... 1) I really cannot stand Daytona Road (just a waste of good tarmac IMO) and 2) the AI are useless.

In the end, I didn't have the time or patience to get down to a time I would have been proud to have submitted.

Ok, checked all the replays who have been posted here:

GTP_RUMBLERIDER: dirty, gets hit by a skyline in lap 2:tdown:

GTP_uk86ze: clean:tup:
GTP_2Fast4Stig: clean:tup:
GTP_Racer_LP: clean:tup:
GTP_Diverman:clean:tup:
GTP_PrudentBear: clean:tup:
GTP_DukeOfPendle: clean:tup:

I only just noticed, I got 22nd out of 52, not bad, slightly better than average, just like always and perfectly reflects my qualifying time.

Thanks for checking the replays, buddy. 👍 I think Sphinx will be pleased aswell.
Good to know my replay uploaded correctly and it is confirmed that my laps are clean :)

All I have to do now is wait for my matchup with L_Hamilton.
That'll be easy then. :scared::nervous::)

thanks Manuelos for your time in checking all those replays.
The question is if GTP_Rumblerider has a dirty lap in there does he get disqualified or could he submit a replay which is clean and yet still the fastest in his division.
I have about 4 replays which would still keep me on top foe this precise reason.

It won't be a problem for stage II, cause GTP_RB26DETT qualified in his division (div 4 bronze):

5:52.234 - GTP_RB26DETT (Qualified)
5:52.998 - GTP_turbolag
6:05.833 - GTP_Im_sorry
6:07.666 - GTP_RUMBLERIDER

GTP_Rumblerider didn't win his division and didn't proceed to the next stage.

Any replay declared as either dirty or not having the correct specification laid out in the rules has to be reviewed by a Race Admin to confirm that it is indeed dirty.

Any submission deemed to be dirty or not having the correct specification will be flagged as such and disqualified.

In this particular event however, the disqualified driver will still be able to take part in Spec III

I want to stress the importance of checking and rechecking your replay before submitting a time. When you submit a time you are also declaring that the time you are submitting is clean.

Edit: Had to re-attach the replay file as I did not zip it properly the first time.

theewar if that replay is for spec 3 then you should remove it as that is still going on.

:nervous:realy sorry folks..made a :censored:up when sending my replay.. there was no bad intent on my part.:ill:.i just got :confused:because i read somewhere else that this was where to put my replay..i now know it meant spec2 replays..please forgive me:guilty:for i am a spanner.

I wanted to check the replay from "GTP_xTaggerx", but when in copied it to my ps3 it keeps saying that there's no replay data found ...

I assume that the replay from "GTP_joeninety" is dirty, 4 wheels off track:
