I will look at your replay later to see where you were making time up.

What was your first lap time? Could see the car doing a late 1'57's, dependent on tune.

Is there anyway to view PAL replays without a PAL version of the game? Seems odd that a replay would require a certain version of the game when it really should only contain data points. Has anyone noticed that the fastest runs for most of the Qualifer and Stage 1 were done on PAL disks? I still suspect there is something crippled in the NTSC version that is holding all us other drivers back and I aim to prove my point.

In the name of fair play I have placed GTP_Wayne & GTP_J-PaP together and have adjusted the remainder accordingly. I have made these adjustments due to there being no entry for Division 5 Bronze.

What I found alot during the SpecII qualifying is that running a really fast 1st lap often led to a slower 2nd lap because you would be right on some slowpokes bumper through the infield. Overall your total time would be the same though for the race - that just shows you how important it was to get a perfect line up and run a perfect race to get the best times. Now, if only I could watch VOLCANO's replay to see his lineup and his lines, I might be able to become a better racer.

I think you were right the first time. WRS Week 76

I own both a PAL and NTSC disk. That was only to avoid the region lock for the purpose of online events. I ran my qualifier on my NTSC disk, but in arcade, AI events, online events (Basically any racing on GT5P) - I have not noticed any considerable difference in my own performance between the 2 versions.

I think there just happen to be a lot of fast drivers in the PAL region.

Only 52 submissions in total? Would be interesting to know why so many people decided not too submit. Was it too hard? Didn't like the event? Not enough time?

After a week of trying I never got one clean race in, then Spec III hit and I was toast. Got one in the bag for Spec III though.

I for one found this a very hard one, almost had me throwing the PS3 out the window, until I decided that I was going to do it relaxed, after which I almost immediately got a clean lap. Not a fast one, but at least it was nice and clean.

How do I veiw other peoples replays?

I have copied the Zip files from this forum.

I asumed that I would need to unzip then stick them via usb drive on my PS3. But the files are not unzipping. They come up empty

I clicked on Racer_LP's zip and 2Fast4Stig's files and they open up quite nicely, replay files inside. Haven't tried them on my PS3 yet though.

I tried that and they come up invalid.

I have now managed it. The extractor on windows Vista appears to be the problem. So I downloaded WinRar and they have extracted fine. Will leave some feedback on the four I have downloaded later on.

Now there is nothing showing on my USB when I put it into my PS3. Anyone have any Ideas as to how I can veiw these replays?

2nd Edit: Extracting files, I'm doing it wrong I guess. When I save any of the zipped replays posted here to my USB drive and attempt to extract the files, I get this message: "Please insert the last disk of the Multi-Volume set and click OK to continue." Please help.

Mr Volcano, I know exactly where I was losing that extra 1 second a lap. It was down to bravery in the Bus Stop. This is what I was working on when I was chasing your time down. Wait till you see my Spec III replay, it is a different story. I am entering that likw a bat out of hell.

I would say we are pretty even alll round. I am a little more aggressive, and heavier on the brakes. I will post a copy of my run for you in a couple of days once all those that are through have sorted themselves out.

Overall you are right about the bus stop, you can lose 2 seconds easily if you go cautious in there.
