Sorry for double post, but you wouldn't take notice if I didn't.

Would you consider this clear???

At that very moment yes,

All Hard Surfaces are track. This includes rumble strips, concrete, cobbles, etc.

But you need to check before that moment and after too (can't be sure of what direction you're coming from or where you're going).

Thanks, I checked the previous moments and they are clear, I was just wondering if the rule applies with 1.5 wheels at all times instead of 2 👍

I agree with this assessment.

I personally would not turn in a lap that close to the edge, one way or the other.

Submitted my Qualifier times. I think they're a pretty fair representation of my ability and of the effort I'll be able to put into this. This looks like a lot of fun.

It was by far my best lap, 4 tenths off of my 2nd best lap...
Don't think I'll ever string a lap like this together.
Imagine that I actually lost some time when the picture above happened.

I qualified with sixaxis & I got in Div2 Silver (2.385, very close to D2 gold) and on my runs I never came even close to the grass.
My mistake was that I was too clean. ^^

What I'm trying to say is yes, it's possible to make a great time [2.3xx with a pad is great, there only 2 people (Biffy and Spud) who did better than me using pad] without doing crazy moves/going off track/abusing kerbs/abusing the rules. ;)

My bad was that I was too clean ^^ (j/k, you can't be too clean).

Pretty good time, I'm planning to go to D4Gold till D3 silver

EDIT: Submitted the current lap(the same with the picture) Reviewed the replays for 30 minutes, everything is clear, i was too bored to rerun such a time

Just sent my times... I consider myself as an average driver, and it is most likely that I will fail to qualify (at least to better division than 5 bronze), but at least I will find out how hard I have to work on my skills then :)

OK, then you are somewhere like Div4 gold and Div3 bronze

So, what are you, Carnac the Magnificent?

Wait for the results and you'll see ;)

You thought you would be D4/D3, and you ended up in D1.

I'd just rather not see people doing a lot to speculate about division placement, which may open up conversations to times, etc.

The qualifier is supposed to be an objective measure of current ability level, and outside influences can alter the results.

I used to be registered in the GT5:P days with the PSN GTP_Gadbury.

I have a lot of contacts with another account (just 'Gadbury') in GT5. If I was to redo the qualifier to register for GT5, is there any way I can prefix my current PSN account with GTP_ ?

Sorry, we require everyone to have a GTP_Tag.

As online events become a bigger part of the work we are doing here, it becomes that much more important.

You'll find that making a second account and earning some quick cash these days does not take much effort, with the seasonal events you can level up quickly.

Thanks for your response. It's a shame there isn't a wayto add a tag / prefix / suffix to PSN IDs within GT5 itself.

Submitted my entry twice now, 29th November and 7th December, have not heard anything yet, can anyone advise please?

Wow, welcome back Dave.👍
I'm not going to try to answer this, as I'll leave that to people that may actually know the answer. Only thing I can think of is be sure that the qualification is posted in the correct format. Be sure it is ran with a PSN account that is GTP_.............. Also it may take 2-4 week's.

I was far too slow :). I had also just found you on the list, once again welcome back.

Division 2 Silver (2.334 - 2.666):

GTP_Davegeorge / Dave_George / UK (2.610)

Here you go.

Where did you find that? I must have been looking in the wrong place!

Many thanks.

Yep, welcome back to GTP, we've been busy while you were away. :sly:

We post all the new members and promotions in this thread -

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=111999

Nice to have you on board in the registry, and definitely a respectable placement. 👍

You should dive in and join us for this week's WRS.

And watch this sub-forum for details of the online version of it, to be run next Wednesday, with time slots at 7 pm GMT and 7 pm PST. Here's the thread where these events have been hosted, but we're making over the sub-forum now, to begin hosting the events there.

Looks like you had good timing on your return.

Thanks guys, admit I totally missed that post, taking some time to navigate my way around this place again :)

Will have a crack at this weeks challenge now!

Thanks for the comment on the timing, just hope I can be competitive on a week by week basis, it's a great qualifier but I think the DS3 controller is not so good anymore, some of the wheels seem fantastic now...

I want to clarify something. Do I do the separate sector 2 and sector 3 and then add them together or am I suppose to the complete track and then just submit the splits.

I thought it was the separate sections until I read that I had to submit split times. That lead me to believe it was the complete track with split times

Do sector 2 and sector 3 and then add them together.

I thought someone else would ask this - it's exactly what I thought when I was reading the qualifier rules. May I suggest this is clarified in the rules in the qualifier thread? The answer was not that easy to find.
