Edit: or, make the replay checks more random outside the podium places. Some of us will never get one of those spots
You also have to submit one if you outperform your qualifier by one class. ;)

And any new submitters have to have their replay checked the first time.

Finally, ALL replays are available for ANY member to check at the results deadline. Any of you are welcome to check any of the available replays, AND report your findings if the replays do not comply with the rules (or if they do! :dopey: ). The only caveat is that once all required replays are checked and the results are made official, they will stand as they are. So get your check done within the week.

I've made a couple of "requested" checks in the last couple of weeks. Those were members asking for one of my (in?)famous writeups. But still, we have flexibility here. Don't let our minimum requirements constrain you from doing more!

What is the best method for saving and then checking replays en masse? I've found that they're often all named the same thing. Can the actual replay files be renamed and saved to the thumb drive? If so, saving and uploading them wouldn't be nearly as difficult.
If I can figure out a fairly easy way to do it, I'm up for checking 5-10 per week. Or more, even.

We need some awesome codie to come up with a way to simply click and watch the replays on youtube...

Convinve Google to put a few (hundred) PS3+capture card combos into their farms. Then look at the spinning wheel while you queue.

The name needs to match the data in the replay file, so you definitely cannot rename.

You end up needing to upload them to your PS3 in batches. Get them into your gallery, then clear them off your stick and out of XMB, later, rinse and repeat.

Maybe we should ask people when announcing the new combo to try to use unique replay number.
Yeah................

So that number (as far as I know) is based on the number you already have exported to XMB, and the order it is in. Do you know any different? Like, can you name it?

I already mentioned cleaning mine out when doing mass replay checks, so that makes it so the next time I export, I might be #1. Which is the most troublesome, but we honestly don't see very many of.

So, how do I know when I submit that my number I use will be unique, as compared to the other submissions. Or those that need to be checked?

It's a good idea, I just think we're lucky to get people to accurately follow all of the existing instructions. Trying to add this icing on the cake is going to be..............fun.

And any new submitters have to have their replay checked the first time.

Minor clarification here:
With the new "Rookie" system, all rookies must have all their replays checked. Once they've had three replays verified (DQs don't count), they gain a permanent position and the normal rule applies (replay requested for podium and/or outperforming by a sub-division or more).

Also, for those wondering if it was worth it running the qualifier, there are still a few "premium" advantages offered only to those who qualified the old-fashioned way:
  • They skip Rookie status
  • They have a "no-damage" handicap from their first race
  • They only have to have one race reviewed (not 3).
There will always be some who prefer that we kept the old system in place, and there are some disadvantages of the new system, but the advantages (no need to worry about changes to physics, ease of access bringing in more new racers) clearly outweigh the disadvantages in the eyes of the moderation team.

@Vaxen @EDK

Hi guys!

Just curious, but did I get a HC adjustment recently? I've gone back the other way to a bronze number, which is a bit weird as I can't find another example of this in D1?

Cheers
Matt

We have noticed a couple others, and we'll need to re-run the numbers with no-damage handicap, bear with us.

Which explains why there hasn't been an update to the registry yet this week. Better right and late than wrong and early :sly:

So i am completely new to WRS and i already submitted my registration. From there where do i go to get into the races? im so lost lol so many threads

Hello, Why is it that I just have one "index" in GTP Qualifier Registry. Has one of the qualifications not been considered clean?
Thank you

Those who show 2 have participated in some events.

Hey guys,
I'm having trouble switching over the PSN name I want to use with the WRS series. I raced in GT5 using GTP_Eklmejlazy but want to change it to just Eklmejlazy for use with GT6. I sent a message to the registry fetchbot with my new ID and country and a replay, but it says I'm already registered (as GTP_Eklmejlazy I presume). On the forums my name is just Eklmejlazy and I also changed it to just Eklmejlazy in my profile contact details. But it still says already registered. Is there somewhere else I need to go to change my PSN ID over?
Thanks.

Edit - I also tried to submit a time for the WRS using my PSN Eklmejlazy but it came back as a failed attempt since it didn't match the registered PSN of GTP_Eklmejlazy.

@Gravitron @EDK

Tagged them to make sure they get an alert. They should be along at some point in the day to see your post.

@EDK I've tried to submit a registration but get this message back:

I was previously a member of the registry in GT5 with my GTP_FordMKIVJ5 PSN, however I haven't played GT6 with that so would like to used my main account (PSN: marunda). I don't know if that's what is causing the problem or if I'm just being dense, but I've linked you into the conversation. Thanks in advance.
Sorry that it took so long, but wanted you to know that we got you fixed up. you are now in the registry with PSN of marunda.

Just a question about the old qualifier...you mentioned here @EDK that we might get to see the results at some point. I'm pretty curious to see @Twissy's destruction of it and where I slotted in, particularly my Megane time which I thought was pretty alright :)

Yeah, we do intend to publish it. @Vaxen has been working through some adjustments to his results software related to the changes we made. So he's not had the extra time to commit to getting that published. I'll go all PD on you and make a timeline commitment of "Soon". :sly:

I'll put money on you guys getting the qualifier times out before GT6 spec 2.0.

Actually, that's too easy - I'll go risky and say by the end of Labor Day (9/1 for those of you not in the US).

You should be able to submit replays now, using your Eklmejlazy PSN account.
