Yikes, so I guess you've knocked the rust off?
Haha, being 45 there's no absolute way to knock the rust off but practice always helps to clean it, playing almost daily to racing games (mainly GT) along 15 years helps too.

Besides, Ramon isn't just an alien, he's like GT's equivalent of an ascended being. :P
I see you received the Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottle I sent you. :D

Nice splits Chris 👍 , I bet you already have a better time than me, my last sector was not good at all, I only improved half tenth of my previous time.

I downshift to 1st gear after the tunnel to help rotate the car, there I go really close to the rumble strip on the right and upshift to 2nd, then it's flat out until the last hairpin.

On Chris' old setup with 2/6 BB. Gonna give this thing more laps... really want to figure out T2. :grumpy:

26.373
21.854

One more tenth. I have another quarter if I can string it all together.

Lost a load in the last sector and would love to have another shot but not sure I'm going to get the time so here's my splits.

26.111
21.621

Trail brake to the apex of the right hander after the tunnel in 2nd gear, then straight back on the power. Stay in the middle of the track for best traction and aim straight for the next apex. If you got the line right you can keep your foot in and change up to 3rd and use the curb on the right as run off before sweeping back towards the next apex. (Note - stay off the high curbs - they'll cost you time in traction loss) Full throttle up the hill, into 4th and keep it flat round the fast esses all the way to the hairpin in sector 3.

Does that actually make any sense? :dopey:

Yes. 👍 Love a good ol' fashioned walk-through. Your sector videos rock too.

Nice battle at the top Chris, Ramon, and all-round some nice racing throughout. :)

Racing On! :gtpflag:

First splits at full power....wasn't a great lap on review but somehow was quite fast. Might get another go tomorrow I hope. I always get to full power too late!

Think I'm done here. Don't think I'll be able to shave anything more of :)

25.875
21.492

Thanks to eclipsee & Vagabond for the tunes 👍

Fast splits Chris and Ramon.

Small break-through:
T1: 25.806
T2: 21.431

25.999
21.563

First and second corners were near-perfect, though I was too slow going into the tunnel.

My most annoying combo ive ever had to run, gave up after hitting the wall a hundred times and not even getting in the 47's

Come my friend, don't give up. Let me tell you a story. Do you know why this is my favorite track and track I do all my testing and tuning on? Simple....I hated it, with a passion. I could not run it to save my soul, same problems you are having. It gave me such a hard time, I just decided it wasn't going to beat me. I kept on, and on, and on till I got it. Many, many miles and many frustrating laps later, I finally got it. I never gave up. Now I can damn near run this track with my eyes closed. Just be positive and tell yourself that you can and will do it. Going in with a negative state of mind is almost always going to result in failure. You have to be positive and put it in your mind that way. Also, just start off with a slow pace (Rome wasn't built in a day) and gradually work up your speed until you get comfortable and feel confident enough to ratchet up the speed. If you go in at break neck speed from the very beginning, you're going to do nothing but bang walls. I know you can do it, just don't give up. Good luck my friend.

The only thing I hate about this combo is the first two corners otherwise its pretty fun :) the FF car isn't too bad a bit understeer but not as bad as the mustang was. The race is def gonna be fun with this car

Tearing myself away from the glorious Augusta national to run some laps. Need to find some time in that damn last bend.... Marvellous turnout this week! :D

Nice 1st sector Mamba, I beena wondering how long it was going ta take before I got passed

This one is definitely a hole card show down 👍

Thanks 👍 your doing pretty well yourself 👍 I've seen about three .0s, made it stick in sector 2, but lost everything in sector 3 :ouch:, not quite sure if Ill get another chance at that. This week is a showdown for sure, I just noticed how close everyone is around here, 25 people all within a second so far, pretty good stuff and very close around us too, less than a tenth :nervous:

Not sure I can do any better, can't get below 26 at all anymore and even with 26 flat I can't best my previous lap. One more session tomorrow.

Just over a tenth in t3 too on my posted lap :(

T1: 26.251
T2: 21.541

Looks like this one is goin ta be a squeaker this week wouldn't you say so Momba?

T1: 26.072
T2: 21.638

and I took another .1 off what I thought was an un catchable 3rd sector. :)

--------------------------------- QUESTION ? ------------------------------------
If I fly up on the curb going into the tunnel and don't hit the wall as my inside tires are riding on the curb slightly above the white line (actually I'm airborne ), is that still a good lap?

No one has spoken to this issue yet so I just sit here wondering if the concrete colored curb that is not mentioned in the OP, except for a broad brush inference, is fair game?
