Splits of awesome!

Those are great splits, considering you were saying how you wouldn't do very well round here you're advancing pretty steadily up the leaderboard :)

Nice splits. 👍 I will have tales of joy to report tonight. I have to.

@Millross - first right of T2 simply ease off and on throttle, left hander at end I downshift to 5th and coast, two wheels inside of inner rumble strip.

My worst disaster of today is throwing away being 3 seconds up by simply turning straight into the barrier on the last corner like some sort of spasm.
If you figure out why that happens let me know, I think I had that crash 3 times. ;)

Not my day today. First I did 4 hours of grinding with nothing to show for it. I did get two new best laps but when I went to save replay it saved a faster dirty lap that I forgot I had to "clear out" by reloading. :(

I had another 4-5 laps that where quicker than my old best that I trashed in the braking zone after the main straight. I was so mad after the save incident I had to go outside for a while and cool off. Since I had already wasted the whole evening I figured I could give it one more go before bed and after 4 red laps I finally managed to nail one in the very last attempt. So now of course I have to stay up a little longer and run the replay and post this! Passed T9 in 5'35.6xx after two wheels in the sand at brünchen(sp?), with these splits:

T1: 44.426
T2: 33.807
T3: 28.687
T4: 49.981
T5: 38.575
T6: 27.926
T7: 49.003
T8: 33.973
T9: 29.237

Took a break, new times:

T1: 44.891
T2: 35.074
T3: 29.391
T4: 52.828
T5: 40.926
T6: 28.825
T7: 52.911
T8: 36.300
T9: 32.281

@Millross, nice splits buddy, great improvement 👍

Where's Chuk at this week?

I come bearing a marginal improvement at T9 but on a lap that gained me a massive 1.5s between T9 and the line. Up to T9 I've gained a bit here (last six sectors) and lost a bit there (nothing unusal with that around this place), but it's faster so I'm happy. Seen a X4.27 in T1 and managed to be up on the splits below at T7 by over 2 seconds before taking an apex curb too aggressively which threw me onto the grass on the outside :ouch:. Went to bed after that...

T1: 44.923
T2: 34.221
T3: 29.088
T4: 51.037
T5: 39.453
T6: 28.351
T7: 49.582
T8: 34.050
T9: 29.233

Still getting used to the wheel and the brake pedal so hopefully there's more to come.

EIDT: Millross, re your question #4, I'm in 4th from the Karussel to Brunchen where I go down to 3rd for the two right handers there. I'm also in 4th for the double apex right between Pflanzgarten 1 and 2. But hey, you're faster than me at the moment, so what do I know :sly:

After a lot of restarts (T1 is killing me :yuck:) made some improvement.

After seing a good T9 time i find the rest of the lap an absolute nightmare, and start to be to caution and it´s killing my final time :ill:

T1: 44.541
T2: 34.131
T3: 29.112
T4: 50.310
T5: 38.791
T6: 28.016
T7: 49.736
T8: 34.101
T9: 29.940

I'm here, just haven't written down all my sector times yet. And I'm still trying to figure out my issues with last weeks replay. I'm a few seconds slower right now, I'll tell you that.

Jesus wept! :scared:

5+ secs down at T9 :dunce: I don't deserve D1 gold please remove me from this league of freaks :sly:

ROFL

I know exactly what you mean Ron... they should either remove us mere mortals from D1G or create a D1 Super Division for the likes of Ramon, Zoky and Daniel!!

Anyhow, away on business all week, but hoping to have a go at this over the weekend 👍

 👍

A Division that you cant qualify for. You can only get promoted too

I hope to find some solid time over the weekend to run this, No chance in hell I can find 5 seconds, but surely 2 - 3 should be somewhat on the cards I hope.

Nearly threw my wheel out the window, tonight, after crashing into the barrier before the last lefthander twice in about 20 minutes, when on quick laps.
Stuck at it and pleased with the results.

T1: 44.587
T2: 34.043
T3: 28.866
T4: 50.436
T5: 38.968
T6: 28.070
T7: 50.368
T8: 33.970
T9: 29.762

I'm amazed at how the leaderboard is sorting itself out this week...the divisions are very well organized

Certainly shows the caliber of drivers..

Thanks. Had one of those, just one more try, nights. Think I've put in more hours already this week than I did last week.

I think that makes sense doesn't it Tim - after all, half the track is used for the qualifier, so if there is anywhere we'd line up rank and file it's here. I suppose there is scope for people to be out of division if they only trained on sectors 2 and 3 though

Here is my first set...

T1: 45.008
T2: 34.275
T3: 29.054
T4: 50.752
T5: 39.552
T6: 28.123
T7: 49.569
T8: 34.242
T9: 30.083

Current Settings:
BB: F5/R4
ABS: 1

Those Tales of Joy(special thanks to Chris and Matt for the terms, so appropriate for this track) that I promised earlier:
T1:44.283
T2: 33.869
T3: 28.814
T4: 50.600
T5: 39.024
T6: 28.159
T7: 50.184
T8: 34.088
T9: 29.789

I still have at least a second in me. I was up by around .7 and the ghost caught me exiting the carousel and then I pulled ahead again by around a second. So rewarding when you run a good lap on this track.

Edit: So looking at my splits and I was confused by my gain in time. I'm pretty sure that I miss typed one of my previous splits from yesterday by 1 second.:guilty: I apologize to everyone, the above splits are accurate and my current best lap.

T9: 29.040

Ran 4 consecutive laps last night. In the first 3 I stuffed it into the wall early, but decided to continue. Got to learn the track somehow. 4th lap was clean and gave me these splits.

46.116
35.334
29.659
52.656
40.210
28.298
50.869
36.344
30.518

Did this lap with BB on 8/9 but not sure it makes much difference at my level.

@Millross - first right of T2 simply ease off and on throttle, left hander at end I downshift to 5th and coast, two wheels inside of inner rumble strip.

I never feel like I'm making the most of the right-hander after that quick left. Bergwerk is also so critical for the practically flat out run down to the right hander before Karussel.

First go to get on the board

44.491
33.749
28.735
51.176
39.565
28.461
50.964
34.709
30.287

After T3 I'm pretty lousy, need to clean all that up :nervous:

Update:

43.798
33.231
28.321
49.225
38.320
27.746
48.192
32.891
28.592
-------

It's so hard to be consistent on this tyres, the car is literaly flying around the track!!!:scared:....a bit dissapointed with this lap, to many mistakes after T4.....:banghead:

Sureboss, I agree and think that Bergwerk is probably the most important corner on the track. I try and give a little on braking to ensure I spot my turn in and apex well so that I can then get on the gas hard and early for the long drag to the Karussel.

New splits from me. PB for a clean lap in 10 out of the 12 sectors !!!!! Dropped 4 thenths in T5 and 0.5 in T10, I've also been quicker in T1, so I reckon in theory there is still another 1.2 or so in the whole lap. Gonna start exploring some alternative lines to see if I can find some more time here and there. Happy with this lap though as it gained me 0.9 at the line, and relatively undramatic compared to previous efforts. This lap was done with BB 6/7 whereas my previous was 5/5. I think 5/6 will be about right for me.

T1: 44.709
T2: 34.211
T3: 28.907
T4: 50.663
T5: 39.467
T6: 28.202
T7: 49.258
T8: 33.791
T9: 29.372

In summary, about 1 sec per sector slower than zoky

Those are great splits, considering you were saying how you wouldn't do very well round here you're advancing pretty steadily up the leaderboard :)

Thanks mate... but, well.. its early days yet and I'm already struggling to beat my ghost out of T1. I'm either going to have an epiphany soon or a mental breakdown of some kind... having just made it into D1 this could well be my worst week so far.

Well done everyone so far - some incredible times at the top. Anything below 5'35 is outstanding in my (narrow) view. 👍

Carlos mate - those are great splits. 👍

My first clean lap.

T1: 47.387
T2:37.788
T3: 30.938
T4: 53.787
T5:41.858
T6: 30.436
T7: 56.370
T8: 38.850
T9: 34.973

Cheers All !!!

Agree completely, I realized that last night. I was on one of those so-so laps where I was about .3 behind at the split before bergwerk. I didn't do anything different on purpose, just happened to brake a little early and coast wide into the turn at a bit higher speed than usual, and suddenly I was even at the split up the hill. I turned on the ghost and saw it just disappear in the mirror and by next split I was almost .3 ahead instead of behind!

I took another 2+ off the shows and the OT, after I quieted down my run and tried to enter the turns at a speed that didn't make the tires angry and then powered out of the turn, that's when the ghost started to disappear. Now another 7 to go :)

T1: 44.940
T2: 35.013
T3: 29.497
T4: 50.684
T5: 39.717
T6: 28.144
T7: 50.458
T8: 34.251
T9: 29.906

For what it's worth I'm still using Auto  (I'm so lazy)

Hay "Sid".....

Definitely worth sacrificing a bit under braking (it's hard to spot braking point there too) to gain maximum speed for that run.

Some more laps earlier, no improvements, binning most of them early on in the lap. So frustrating being .3 up, knowing that you can stuff it up at so many corners.
