(it's hard to spot braking point there too)

I think there's a small board on the right side of the track in the middle of the trees that you can use as reference...:)

@Sureboss - The downhill/uphill right hander before the backhalf long straight (no idea the names) is mostly about carrying speed. Which makes it harder to apex, plus its over 90 degrees. But I approach full on and hope for the best, it is probably the single turn that can ruin a lap by screwing up. On this track thats saying a lot. Still miserable splits from me though, 5:39.741 - If I can get the time I can easily see 3 seconds, maybe more, everything you gain on one turn you lose on the next. Already spent more time than qualifyer

No matter what car, which tyres, what time of the day, whether you have a good or bad day, this is the best track of the world, ever.

Lost a few tenths here and there, but overall quite satisfied with this lap :)

Tasty splits Manuelos 👍

It may be the best track in the world ever but its also akin to being stretched on a rack... Another session down and 5 wasted laps plus 20+ restarts. I'm now sick of T1, 2, and 3 but getting quite good at T1 as a result. Sector 9 remains a mystery...

28.772
50.159

Happy with my progress despite the nervous twitch I'm developing. :)

Definitly a stunning track, just don't like driving it much!!!

First splits for me.....

47.140
35.636
30.554
53.332
42.092
28.782
52.286
35.915
31.222

I can see lots of time to come off... This was just my first clean lap!! :)

First splits, not very good, and need to look closer later to make sure it's clean:

45.482
34.946
29.834
51.482
40.164
28.591
51.955
35.616
31.998

5hrs in and this is the first time I crossed the finish line. :dunce: Not fully crazy yet, though.

Good improvements there, Chris. Like you, I'm not sure with Sector 9 either, the first corner, the quick left-right (unless that's sector 8, after the two 80mph right handers) is really hard to get right. Might be me, but the car always feels like it wants to run wide there.

Finally an improvement after hours of not being able to come close to my previous time!

T1: 44.412
T2: 33.872
T3: 28.965
T4: 50.491
T5: 38.438

T7: 49.659
T8: 33.638
T9: 29.171

Finally managed some laps.

One question...are you guys running many laps per session, or are you restarting after 1 lap? I am wondering, since I am restarting after each lap, somehow I feel the grip is better with cold tires...any inputs from you guys?

I took another 2+ off the shows and the OT, after I quieted down my run and tried to enter the turns at a speed that didn't make the tires angry and then powered out of the turn, that's when the ghost started to disappear. Now another 7 to go :)

T1: 44.940
T2: 35.013
T3: 29.497
T4: 50.684
T5: 39.717
T6: 28.144
T7: 50.458
T8: 34.251
T9: 29.906

For what it's worth I'm still using Auto  (I'm so lazy)

Hay "Sid".....

Is that my ghost gaining on me, no it's Lefty coming on strong :scared:
I'm ok in the first 3 sectors, able to get into the 1:46's , but after that it all goes wrong. Hard to keep it together fo so long. Always been bad in T4 especially, seem to only muster 51's. Trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong there.

I noticed someone is doing well in the muscle car TT event this week too 👍

@Lyvan I'm restarting after the lap (if I make a full one). I find the slippery tires actually assist with the understeer in the first sectors, once I come round for the second
lap she is too grippy for me and just understeers like crazy.

Carlos mate - those are great splits. 👍

Thanks Chris, likewise! That was like my second or third lap of the evening.

The next lap afterwards was an EPIC lap and I'd got to the split after Bergwerk 2.3 seconds up (3'15 and change), and then I managed to throw it all away at the Karussel, the slowest damn corner on the track :ouch: - got on the power too early and she popped out the top. I thought to myself 'OK not ideal, but I'll just run it over the grass on the inside and be on my way' then - TAP 🤬

Twohours later I still hadn't completed another clean lap, and was struggling to get through T1 properly - just over-driving I think so I gave up and went to bed.

No doubt Millross and Chuk are hard at it (so to speak) as I type, so I'm keeping a watchful eye on the leaderboard :nervous:

Hey guys. I know so many of the tracks the wrs runs on require a good tune or set up. I for one depend on my fellow members so much every week for tips and tunes since I am newer to this type of competition. At the ring do most of you just run everything off... maybe abs 1 with BB in mid range? Just curious. I know the main reason I can't beat my 46 something in T1 is just my lack of skill but I'll listen to anything I can get.
Trying to get a clean lap now to at least get a time on the board....Thanks guys.

Hey buddy,

My previous splits were with ABS1 and BB 5/5 as I forgot to change it. Latest splits are ABS1 and BB 5/6, but to be honest it doesn't seem to make much difference around this place and you'll gain more time by being on the right line and being clean.

Not much help I'm afraid, sorry.

This week is nerve wrecking. Drive with full atention for a lot of minutes, with a bumpy road, lots of breaking and when you see the light :banghead: ... a wall

New splits after two hours of restarts just to get past T1 and T2

T1: 44.555
T2: 34.027
T3: 28.784
T4: 50.796
T5: 38.431
T6: 28.028
T7: 49.756
T8: 33.804
T9: 29.525

Come on champ, this should be a breeze for you. Just like a sunday drive in your audi :sly:

Here is my latest... worse T7/T8 but everything else better

T1: 44.752
T2: 34.005
T3: 28.796
T4: 50.071
T5: 39.072
T6: 28.083
T7: 49.858
T8: 34.700
T9: 29.843

I'm chasing you, Carlos, and think I can give you a run for your money. However, I'm also sharing seat time with Jesse, the Missus, and others, so I won't get to put in a full session until Sunday afternoon, at the earliest. I've also had to be working on a plaster versus drywall repair job, and then hitting the restaurant at night. To make a long story longer, I've not had much time for this week, and I've barely gotten last weeks replay in. BUT, I will be there before the deadline. :)
Millross, Jesse has realized that he's not fast on a DS3. He ran last week against your time. You won! 👍

T1: 44.761
T2: 34.117
T3: 28.891
T4: 50.433
T5: 38.468
T6: 28.108
T7: 49.199
T8: 33.755
T9: 29.296

ABS 5 - BB 7/8 - TCS 0
And improved for almost 2 seconds at the finish line. I am finding more reliable to restart after each lap...

Looking forward to it Chuk 👍 The track is enough competition in itself, so it's a race against the clock, the scenery, my nerves and the car this week as much as it is against you, Millross and the others.

I've seen big gains on my current splits but have subsequently fallen off the road at various points - but then I suggest everyone can tell a similar story...

Race on buddy and good luck 👍

PS. don't forget to change your signature!

Got in a few more laps, lost time in 3 sectors, but gained in all the others. :)

T1: 44.824
T2: 34.182
T3: 29.129
T4: 51.499
T5: 39.660
T6: 28.205
T7: 50.303
T8: 34.442
T9: 29.975

Lost focus in the middle and had bad T4,5, and 6, but got it back together and gained in the rest.

I'm restarting when I'm crashing/losing to much time/going offroad
I don't feel any difference between warm and cold tyres :dopey:

A few less mistakes this time...
T1: 44.657
T2: 34.238
T3: 28.777
T4: 50.346
T5: 38.788
T6: 28.205
T7: 49.609
T8: 34.805
T9: 29.478

Adds up to just under 3sec better at T9 and 3.3 at the line

I restart every time - the tyres are up and ready by the time you hit T2, IMHO - it doesn't make a huge difference.

I've had more laps but it's a real challenge, especially with a pad - the narrow roads lend themselves to a delicate touch, which is tricky to achieve (but possible)

I'll keep having a bash at it but I'm also playing L.A. Noire, which is awesome :)

Chuk - hehe, I have no idea who Jesse is...but it's good that I beat him! I guess! :)

Nice splits - Obviously I've been racing Carlos, Chuk et al most weeks, but I've been trying every week to try and match your times, since you're using a DS3 - hope you don't mind having a stalker :D

The way I've done it is to run about 10 laps back to back to warm up and get a feel for the car and sort out my lines/braking points etc, then when I felt it was time for the hotlap, I restarted and went for it. 👍

The splits I have posted on the board I set on the second lap after I restarted. Hoping to get a second run at it later today or tomorrow.

Haha, don't worry, I keep a pretty good eye on the other pad icons on the leaderboard too

Another Go, butchered T1,T3 and T5 but gained in just about everything else. 3.3 better at the line. Switching between BB 6/9 and 8/9, honestly can't tell the difference at the moment. I think the only BB setting that will actually make you faster here is your Brain Balance, all about focus here 👍
