T3 was poo tho.

Vagabond's setup with 2/8 BB and full front/mid rear aero 👍

Sorry mate... :sly: I've been further refining my setup to suit my inept driving style with this car. I've used a bit of yours and some of my original one (which was based on Plato's anyway) and some tweaks. Its smoke-tastic I tell you....

Getting somewhere... but I can't see where for the tyre smoke. 👍

What kind of setups adjustments?:sly:

I'm using your tune and like it, but I'm always up for something better.:)

Cheers Wes. :) Current setup:

LSD:
5/20/5

Suspension:
45/-20
15.1/2.5
9/3
9/3
7/2
2.1/0.0
0.09/-0.20 (hmmm...?)

Aero:
15/20

Transmission:
Max 155mph
4th 1447
5th 1195
6th 1017

6th for turn 1, change down to 5th after the apex and floor it. 5th for the right hander exiting T1. 4th for the double right in T2 changing to 5th at the top of the hill. 3rd for the left hander into the tunnel and for the left hander into T3.

Edit - Just checked through the thread - Sweet splits Rees... Nice symmetry 👍 :P

Edit edit - Chuk, you're one crazy mother. 👍 👍

Lol, they won't let me on the track unless a fire detail is stationed at each curve!!!

I wish I had the expertise to get half as much out of your settings as you do, but I digress! :indiff:

Basically following what you and Plato do, but changed the tran to this for personal driving but I am going to try and incorporate your update:

TOP SPEED 155 [This is on the high side of the Final Adj.,.next click 156]
1st 3454
2nd 2399
3rd 1784
4th 1388
5th 1130
6th 0.963
Final 4562 [Adj here for individual and Top Spd settings]
TRANS 162

[Feel free to comment on the above tran scenario, please.]

Going to see if I can make these work with my settings and/or go back to your 155 and adjust as per you:

Transmission:
Max 155mph
4th 1447
5th 1195
6th 1017

First, though, going to try your update without my interference, lol! Stay tuned!!

Thanks Kev. 👍

Thanks Chris!! I see you've been making pretty good progress! 👍
The most progress I think I've ever made in a FWD.. but mostly thanks to using Plato's bizarre setup as a base I think. :)

[dance]Finally, breakthrough in T2 :dopey:[/dance]

I see Chris has made excellent progress, and Chuk's still on fire as well - gonna have to get my red meanie out again tonight (no, that's not a euphemism - the car's red!) :D

@Yanaran - I've never driven the car or the track either, but you'll get the hang of it soon enough 👍

T1: 23.047
T2: 29.303

progress, can't seem to break that 23. barrier..

first replay I watched it scared me..... this car is screaming fast, especially through that first curve...... I was like... "oh me, how in the world is it going to make this turn!"

22.799
28.774

Lost a little in T1 and T2 drifting... sigh I have to resist the urge to slide everything I drive.

Saw a 695 in T1, but spun it going through T2 (the very outside between the two apexes is banked and 🤬 it has destroyed many a good lap).

Update:

22.748
28.740

First couple of hours in the seat. I have tried various setups, though not as extreme as Chris' and Plato's, but it is still a piece of soap on ice (smoking soap, that is).

I kind of gave up tuning this thing when throwing 40 kg on the front wheels had no effect but slowing down.

Now I am wondering if S2's on the rears would help.

T1 was hard so I took a nap in T2. Guys please wake me up and tell me, do you cut the curb on the first right hander, or do it all smooth? I just don't grok this. :dunce:

I'm only putting my inside wheels on the curb in turn 1.. taking it in 6th with a trailing throttle. Down to 5th on exit and floor it.

That corner requires a slight bit of luck, its ideal to completely miss the curb as it slightly unsettles the car, compromising grip. Ran this one using a highly modified Plato tune, yielding

22.604
28.550

With a more ideal tune, .4's are obtainable in both sectors without a doubt.

Mr. Fandango.......did I pick up a little Beatles reference there (meanies)....or is it just me.....and my age?

I try not to curb it (it has sent me drifting through the corner a lot), though I do drop tires on the grass at the apex and the exit quite a lot.

My current fastest lap scraped it, and that was enough to cost me .200

That turn #1 can do it in 6th to 5th mid turn, but having trouble holding turn 2. New times, and many thanks to all the setting posters.

T1: 23.065
T2: 30.081

Still playing about with settings, but have some splits to post now.

22.998
29.363

Had better on both, just need to string them together.

Using Plato's tune as my base. Settled on 15/15 aero for now, and set brake balance at 4/6. BB seems to stabilize the car at turn in and the higher rear aero helps it to stick mid corner, when back on the power. Also helps a lot for turn 1.

Gears are -

3265
2356
1896
1551
1320
1161

3854 final

Top speed in the box on the top right shows as 153. In the bottom box shows as 143.

Here's my last update for the day. I got about eight hours of driving in, so that's been good. :) I've taken almost .400 off my total time, so that's been good. :) What is not good is that these latest splits are .120 slower than my current posted splits. :yuck:
I'm happy with my ghost, though. Red has given me till Monday to catch up, and this sector time is fast enough, by a very comfortable margin of .001! :D
I found a lot of time in the final sector, so I'm hoping to keep that line and fix the first sector. That should be easy, right? :dopey:
Current splits:
T1: 22.950
T2: 28.706

Time for some sleep, and hopefully a good 3-4 hours of drive time tomorrow! :sly:

Race On!!

Yeah Kevin!!

Wow I'll be lucky to get that all week.

Something new happened to me tonight, it's never happened to me in my life, ever. Ran 50+ laps, with as many as 3 in a row within .100 of my best time, and did not beat it. I ran as close as .003, but no cigar. So either something pops soon or I guess I'll be done with this week. :grumpy:

Wow I'll be lucky to get that all week.

 yeah I thought that as well! Chuk, appreciate you posting slower splits and coming back towards me rather than what everyone else has seemed to do today which is to go faster :ouch:

A kind gesture greatly recieved :sly:

Edit: I notice Wes hasn't posted a lap either, so there's someone else to bump me down further
