Well....looks like bojangles and poolhass have raised the bar for Division 4. Nice splits, going to be tough to match.
 
(Discussing turn 1) So that would mean if I don't use the curb I can get a 22.5xx in T1... sounds nice in theory but I doubt that will work in practice.

No time to get any running in today so I'll sit and watch myself drop down the board for a bit. :cheers: Great times being set all round. :)
No he was talking about the entrance to the double-right beginning T2. I noticed it seemed people got it mixed up there. But I've also found barely touching the curb in the first turn "can" help, but it's harder to hit. Good Luck, I know I need it. :crazy:

Honestly expected to do well this week, but I don't have splits worthy posting. T2 is a mistery for me at the moment.
Hope to see splits soon, even if they're not alien times, you guys give me goals for where to reach.

New splits. Using Plato's tune but with full rear DF. Not a lot better at the line. Poor T3.

Just thought I would let you know the times I have posted are with full downforce, using less downforce may feel like the turn in response for the car is a lot better, but you will be loosing more time spinning the tires with a lower setting.

T2 wasn't so good but T1 and T3 were respectable and I gained a pretty big amount at the line, nearly 3 tenths infact.

Chris (Vagabond) setup (From either page 15 or 16) - I changed the rear spring rate to 3.0kg though. This setup takes a bit of getting used too, the rear barely feels connected to the road at times, but it really suits me and I ran a faster time than my previous 50 laps on my 2nd or 3rd lap with it.

BB of 5/6 - ABS1, all else orf.

Gotta clean up T2 to get anywhere near the seasoned Div2'ers. Will give it a try.

Hm, mind-boggling improvement with Vagabond's tune. Left toe at 0 and still using auto transmission with default gearbox, while I get used to the track. In just 5 laps:

T1: 22.893
T2: 29.213

1.5 faster at the line! 👍

Using a combination of Plato's setup[I changed back to my earlier camber settings];
Gear setup by Kevin [except I later adjusted 6th to up the top speed at the top to 156];
Results in a slight loss for T1, a modest gain in T2, and a PB in T3!!!

I reached my my personal T2 goal, and I know the T1 sub-23 goal is attainable! A good T3 is there, just have to hold both!!

Any tips for T1? Can't seem to get it right, have seen a 23.3, but nothing better.

T2 I've got sorted nearly. I know where I'm loosing time and have seen a few 28.9s, just on dirty/slow laps!

munch2112, I was playing around with my new toy I got at work today (android phone) and made a video of my lap I posted above. I put a piece of paper over the lap time and stopped recording after T2, if it's ok to post that here I can put it on youtube. Is that allowed?

I'm far from the fastest but it should give you an idea how to get below 23, and maybe someone could give me some pointers also. 💡

Hmm, I've had a few people put up first sectors to show how those are done. Once you get to T2 here, there's not much lap left.

I'd prefer that we kept from showing 65% or so of a lap.

Maybe up through T1, still with the piece of paper over the prior lap time?

I'm not the fastest either, but I think you can accomplish more than you'd expect (with Plato's/Chris' settings) by just lifting the throttle a little....especially entering the tunnel @ T1. I try to keep my turn 1 mph @ 110+ if at all possible. HTH.

Kevin, your gear setup is a great base to work on to suit one's individual style. Love it!!

Last splits I owe to it with just a minor adjustment. If you adjust your original settings, let us know!!! :)

I'm guessing you adjusted 3rd gear? Still not sure if I'm happy with that one, but there's a fine balance between keeping the RPM's up and limiting wheel spin.

EDIT : NM, I see you adjusted 6th. I know it hits the limiter sometimes when going over the bump up to T1. Might try messing with it again to see. I'm happy with all the gears in between.

I also tried a 5 speed setup. (Using 2nd through 5th). Don't try that. It makes the car feel even more understeery, if that's possible. :sly:

Me too. And not sure the limiter makes any difference at the point it does! :)

I am using a 5 speed and it works quiet well for me :sly:

Yanaran, there's a lot of talk about gear ratios here, and you're considering if you're losing time with an auto, but your video was a mirror image of my run.

For what it's worth, I'm using stock trans in manual, but with the top speed at 240kmh.

We have exactly the same time at T2!

PS. My T3 is, as a wise man once said, poo...

So far so good ;) Gonna try to improve my splits during the weekend. Chris' tune helped a lot so I'm looking forward to doing some more lapping 👍
