I also tried a 5 speed setup. (Using 2nd through 5th). Don't try that. It makes the car feel even more understeery, if that's possible. :sly:

:lol: I guess I don't feel so bad w/ my 3 speed manuel setup now :) It almost works but there's just not enough torque. Now off to try to find the best 4 speed manuel gearing :) My carpulz don't seem to flame on if I can reduce the amount of shifts as I increse the duration between shifts.

4 speed won't quite work - not enough torque
5 speed seems to be working fine - knocked off .2 on the OT :)

Actually I pounded it down 1.4+ on my showz today thankzz to Plato'z setup and then I tweeked it. I still got more in me tonight I think 👍


Thought this might make my time "SHINE"... :lol:

Hey Buddy, did you watch the video that Yanaran posted on the previous page. He's running an auto box as well, but otherwise it's a mirror image of my run. I've been into the .7's a couple of times, but usually overdone it in T2. Assume you're using the Plato set-up with max downforce?

I'm a huge Roy fan and listening to that song made me go faster :lol:
I'm torn between the Roy version and the Cindy Lauper version, but she is easier on the eyez. (at least she was back then... :lol:)

I'm hoping for some Lefty inspired improvement myself tonight, although 1.5s is perhaps a little too much to ask for. I'd settle for 0.15 and a competent T3!
 
Slightly slower splits, but nearly a full .1 at the line.

Using a combination from Plato, Chris setup's & Kev's gears, I believe I managed to out do myself :). Very pleased with my TT so will be submitting with these splits.

Finally have some splits to post, can't get my head around T2 so any tips would be useful.💡
T1- 22.683
T2- 28.794

I've seen a Dan matching 22.60 in the first sector but this ranks up with my best T2s.:confused:
 
Well I'm seeing double about now so it looks like NIZZY is safe for tonight... :lol:

I could only muster my fastest T1 and OT on this last run, but my shows were a little slower so now more adjustments tonight.

I guess Fetchy is sleeping now..... so later all :)
 
I told myself I couldn't post again until I had better splits. I made sure to get a good nights sleep, and had no beer after work (that was the hard part!).
T1: 22.742
T2: 28.787

I know I can do better by a full tenth at t2, and now I'm much more consistent in the final sector. I may not get the time because it's a holiday week-end and I have to finish up the plaster repair job, but I'm close to happy with my time! Since I'm not drinking, and the coffee I brewed was not the decaf I thought it was, I'm going back to the track!!

I'm at a loss with this one, I really don't know how to go any faster - has everyone suddenly slapped go-faster stripes on!? I can barely scrape 22.9 in T1, doesn't happen often - rarely ever get T2 in under 29 seconds - I'm changing down from 6th to 4th and with a slight drift, look to run wide to the left of the track to line up for the next right and up and over the crest towards the tunnel - change to 5th gear at the crest and then flick down 2 to 3rd for the left-hander after the tunnel - down the hill and 3rd again for the first turn of T3 - is this what I should be doing - it seems right to me, I obviously can't execute it that well.

I've now done 321 miles on this - I didn't think I'd spent THAT much time on it, but I bought the car for the purposes of this week and the stats dont lie!!
 
Matt, your read of T2 is as mine is, and so are your struggles. I've been under 29 seconds twice, fortunately one of those times was combined with a decent T1.

It all seems to hinge on the double apex right. Having said that, I feel like I'm driving like my mum in the left between the tunnels - what is it Martin Brundle says "hurry up and wait before getting on the power"... :rolleyes:

Aero is 15/35
LSD 5/30/5
Ride Height 45/-20
Springs 15.5/2.1
EXT 10/1
COM 10/1
Roll bar 7/1
Camber 2.0/1.7
Toe -.20/-.05
Brakes are 5/6

The suspension is Plato's while the toe and camber are RKM. The gearing is mostly Kevin's with a few tweaks:

2.356
1.967
1.621
1.320
1.161
Final gear is 3.854 with top speed of 143.

The key to a good t2 for me is to brake pretty hard on the entry to the double apex, then feather the throttle in fourth gear. I hit fifth at the second apex, but then brake hard again through the tunnel, using third for the long left before t2. Hope that helps!

Looks like those gearbox setting did the trick if you know what I mean :lol:

Must check out your tweaks to Kev's 3rd and 4th gear setup. Think I'm gonna like it! :)
