T1: 24.047
T2: 30.442

Concentrating so much on T2 that I lost some time in T3....but overall, improvement nonetheless! :)

I've come to the conclusion that Tim has me blocked and I can't move up! :grumpy:

Welcome back, Chris!!đź‘Ť

Welcome back, Chris!!đź‘Ť

Didn't really go anywhere Dan, just thought I was done in terms of improvement. I hate FWD cars but I hate quitting also. I do like moaning however. :)

Nice splits Ash đź‘Ť

Ye gods, I can't resist keeping coming back and having another little go here and there. Tried some setup adjustments and knocked a few tenths off.

T1: 22.847
T2: 28.918

Not liking T2 at all. My T3 is pretty solid however, so all may not be lost this week.
What kind of setups adjustments?:sly:

I'm using your tune and like it, but I'm always up for something better.:)

You two need to slow the hell down!!! Going very well this week đź‘Ť

 This combo suits my driving style, and I came into this week determined to do better than last week. I just put Plato's tune in it and started driving. I'm as surprised as you at my overall speed, though I knew I could do well here. I love this track in either direction. :)
I'm still not satisfied, however. I'm getting into the low .7xx for a t1, and it looks like I'm going to need every bit of it. I want to podium in my division!!! :D

T1: 23.632
T2: 30.365

Another! Have yet to put it all together, but making progress. :grumpy:

Told myself to take the day off and run WRS! :)

Nice improvement, Dan! đź‘Ť Using the Plato/Skills tune last night, I got a similar T1 (I added more rear downforce though). Next session I'll switch to manual tranny and see if I can do turn 1 as Chuk described. I assume he meant he isn't braking for turn 1, just downshifting to 5th.

How about the last turn (hairpin right, bottom of hill)? The driving line says to brake at the trough at the bottom and again as you approach the apex, but I've yet to get a good launch out of that turn. :dunce:

Nice progress, everyone!

Leaderboard is down at the moment...

New splits

T1: 22.878
T2: 28.733

Happy enough with T2 but not so happy loosing time in T1 but I will settle for it for now :sly:

Thanks. I just realized that I have been running with the downforce default setting.

I don't remember seeing what setting was being used, and it's so tiny.

First turn is 5th for me as well, and then blinking and gunning it.

The last corner is a pain for me..[a tuning :dunce:.]..and indeed, a "slow" entry pain. Sometimes, if I have enough RPMs. I just leave it in 3rd, but most of the time I just use 2nd for braking and then right back to 3rd. My tran setting isn't based on 155 mph, just couldn't get that to fit my style, but gonna experiment with that in another scenario later today. However, my "talent wall" for this track could occur at any time!

Plato, I don't think you should drive too much more this week!! You don't want to wear yourself out too quickly, you know? :sly:

New splits. Still trying to hold a .7xx t1 through to the end of the lap. As far as braking for turn 1, I BARELY touch the brake just before I downshift. And I do mean barely.

T1: 22.879
T2: 28.657

Racing On!

Nice jump, bojangles! Somehow I saw that coming... :)

Thanks for the clarification, Chuk! đź‘Ť

Great splits Chuk đź‘Ť

I think this proves a point about the qualifier, there are alot of people who struggle around the ring, me being one of them. If you look at previous weeks it is all mixed leaderboards between the divisions which is good to see. My point being there are people in lower divisions like yourself who can put good times down most weeks but find the qualifier very tough. I was trying to make this point a few weeks back that everybody has a weak track, in my opinion I can bet my house it will be the ring 9 times out of ten.

Great times you have there, as for me I don't think I can squeeze much more out of my gears if anything.

Good luck with the results đź‘Ť

The difference between the ring and the rest of tracks is you can't re-run every single turn hundreds of times the way you can on regular tracks, and you can't run enough laps in a week to possibly nail every turn.
This week is the opposite, anyone willing to spend the time can end up running much closer to the aliens, because it's so many less turns to perfect.

Lots of smoke....

T1: 22.770
T2: 28.901

Glad to see you are chipping away.

I had a short session this morning. Unfortunately the earliest I think I can run this again is Monday. Not really feeling T2 yet(usually in the .8/.9 region). I have been running with Plato's tune and stock gearbox to 155mph top speed.(two notches up from default)

T1: 22.707
T2: 28.707

Can anyone else match their tenths, hundredths, and thousandths in the two sectors :)

Good luck with catching Zoky then :sly:

I hear that loud and clear.. I was home sick week 13.. So I ran that course a lot. Never could catch Zoky. I think I could run that course another 1000 times and not be able to duplicate his and Eclipsee's times. There is a reason we all call them aliens.

I can agree with that. I also think that some people just race certain tracks better than other tracks, while some people are just fast no matter what the track. I can only run fast, as compared to the other drivers here, on three or four tracks. Autumn Ring, Trial Mountain, and here. Tsukuba has always been one of my worst tracks, and it doesn't have many corners. I know the tracks, I just don't drive them very well. :ill:

Great splits, Red!! đź‘Ť

Back to the track. Racing On!

Nice T2 Chuk! Looks like you are serious this week.đź‘Ť I might have to make sure I find some time on Monday to chase whatever you put down between now and then.

Thanks! I can do a better t1, but this ghost just keeps on coming. I've had the time to drive this week, so I'll keep trying. :) You've definitely set a lofty target!! đź‘Ť

Way to bump the D4 bar, poolhaas!
Thanks mate, I do wish they would red lap when 3 wheels are on the grass in the first corner, it just never disqualifies the lap there.
Anyone else having problems opening up the leaderboard page?

First 30 laps, all settings default.

T1: 23.336
T2: 29.628

The times on the leaderboard just seem unreal to me. In my defense, I've never driven this car or this track before... I guess I have about 14 pages of reading to do, to figure out what you guys are doing. :)

Good luck with catching Zoky then :sly:
Well, mathematically, you should be 5 times closer this week than last week, roughly. 3rd place was over 3 seconds behind last week. We'll see if this week 3rd place is .6 behind. I'm currently 12th and .631 behind, with roughly 1/4 the time spent driving.

It was having problems a few hours ago, then started working, now it's back to Not Responding. You were 1.677 behind Zoky with those last splits, in case you were wondering. ;)

With turn 1 I have more problems going wide left after apex, rather than cutting in too soon.
