You mean on the rumble strip when entering? If so I might have to recheck cause it's very close for me.

Yes. I thought it was clean but the car looked like there was a slight twitch. When I did a scenario to see if there was an invisi-wall there....there was! :grumpy:

Run the Kevin scenario and you will see there is definitely a gap between the car and the wall. 👍

EDIT: Also, when running the motor covers the slight sound emitted when the touch occurs, but during the "parking" scenario, you definitely can hear the rub.

Not sure if Admin would consider that a dirty lap if the sound is not audible, no speed drop, and/or no data logger deviation, of which all of the a-fore-mentioned was not available, except by practice lap "parking." Uhmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

But I run with, "if you think it's dirty, it is! Unless, of course, I forget to change the damn tires!!!! :grumpy:

I'm not sure if it's invisi-wall or just the car being wider than its model, but there's quite a bit of air between the wall I mentioned and a "parked" car up against it. Especially the rear section seems to be quite a bit wider than it looks, so I've discarded those laps. 3 of my 7 replays *poof*!

Anyway, switched to manual transmission and managed a new best (without any twitching on corner entrys :D)

T1: 13.594
T2: 39.325

That 13.4 seems to have been a fluke, but T2 feels quite a bit easier in manual. I do both the long sweeper and the following left in 4th (using CSL's gearing) and it seems to keep the car much more stable than changing down to 3rd. Might give it another go tomorrow otherwise submitting with these splits.

You're taking the right approach.

Sound is only one component, and speed drop is even subjective. The logger was better on GT4, you could actually follow the line to see exact speeds to check for the drop. If it happened at full throttle and was not a shift point, you were DQ'd.

We have to work at it a little more now, and you're much better off turning in a lap that's unquestionably clean. Tough, I know, on a combo like this, but still needs to be done that way.

New Splits:

EDIT: Nice, I'd like to see a side-by-side with Chris' lap :)
Tried wes' tune, couldn't make it work.

Thinking about trying sway bars at 4 each... that was my last big setup gain, dropping sway bars to 5 each.
Can't find any time in T1 for the life of me, and running 13.6xx makes it really hard to beat your T2 time, which means I've been diving mercilessly into T3, and as so, only gained .014 at the line. :(

How are you guys getting those T2s? :)

T1: 13.489
T2: 39.546

I have a Q about the 2 rights just after T2; Is there an invisible wall or something inside the "real" wall on the left side of that short straight? Sometimes it looks like the car twitches a little just as I turn in for the second right - the way it looks when you bounce slightly off a wall - but there's no sound, no speed drop, and I'm 2-3 dm clear visually (at least). I can see the end of the car shadow on the ground between me and the wall in photomode. I only noticed it in chase cam view...

T2 - First left/right taken in 4th, always, even then you can brake the tires loose, you can either cut the inside rumble entering the left completely, or miss all rumbles completely. Either way, as soon as past the rumbles full throttle out and around the right, should be hitting 5th exiting.
Double right, dab brakes and coast in 4th, swing out a bit, try to time the exit so full throttle can be obtained early, swing wide, next left can be taken several ways, it's really up to you, just make sure you get a good exit more than anything, fast switchback is over inside rumbles on right, dab brakes shift down to 5th, coast through left until you can apply throttle, aim for 138mph, 222kph (I think) approx.
Can run 52.400 that way, I believe. Just haven't bettered a .497 yet, nor kept on under .692 to the finish.

I can see maybe another .2-3+ through the chicane and the double right but I've already blown past the time I was aiming for. 👍 If I don't get more time on this I'm still satisfied.

The difference in changes, not sure what's different in the cars handling....?

What is your top speed on the straight with that gearing?

Thanks for trying my tune at least. What do you exactly mean with you couldn't make it work?

Update.:)

13.659
39.436

My Final sector is rubbish, so I can improve my time, it's tough to get it right though.:ouch:

For some reason I don't seem to be able to get into the .5's consistently in T1 as I was earlier in the week and all I've done is mess with gear ratios a bit. Still it seems to be an improvement over the lap. T1 is average, but clawed the difference back in T2 to move 7 thousandths ahead of my previous posted splits, and then took it home with my best T3 by far. Other than taking a tenth out of T1 I'm at my limit so may end up submitting with these splits...

13.650
39.607

EDIT: Assuming a T2 split speed of 220kmh, 3rd-6th in D2 is covered by 2.5m!!!

Amazing how some people seem to find 13.5xx in T1
Hopefully I find some time tomorrow to shave some time off my T3.

My internet has been down for the last few days and I've been really busy with exams, but I'm gonna give it a 1-2 hour session today, hopefully I can claim that #1 spot! 👍

From a little experimenting with tunes, I believe CSLACR V1.0 tune (40/63 downforce) with Vagabond's LSD settings feel nice on the pad, give it a try :)

EDIT: First splits

T1: 13.507
T2: 39.097

Nice improvements in D2... good job guys 👍 Usual Suspect on fire this week. :)

Great opener there Spud. 👍

Still playing with my setup... stiffened springs to 15.3/15.3, dampers 7/9 7/9, toe 0/0.12

Just seen a 13.448 T1 - outrageous and probably urepeatable... and a 38.991 T2... also quite freakish. Not on the same lap either - having trouble nailing a clean lap today. Taking a break to calm down then hit it again later. Good luck all.

That's an insane T1, I've seen a few .4's but none quite that low...yet! The corner that I'm having most trouble with at the minute is the fast right-left section at the end of T2, literally can't get that corner right for the life of me, took it about 5mph too slow on my lap! :yuck:

I think I'm clipping 182. Crossing the line on good runs at 172. Unless you mean the box, I think 194.
I know for certain I get higher speeds across the line, and use 3rd for the first and last curve, 4th and 5th for all other turns.

Honestly I think you changed multiple settings to many times, it looks more aggressive than mine, but actually understeers more, and the LSD added traction, but the car just wouldn't rotate enough to take advantage.

I just gave my 1.0 a try again, switched back to 1.05 and immediately gained time back... Still can't nail first turn... If I get turn 1 back, I have a chance at 52.4's... If I shave 3 tenths at the line I'll be happy.

So frustrating! I have run a 13.407 in the first split and got 38.8xx in T2, just getting them on the same lap is proving diificult! Will probably run it again tomorrow.

13.708
39.567

.170 better at the line, a decent end and nice gain.

At one point today I nearly got a 53.0...binned it on the wall of the fast right/left. Bah.

13.629
39.206

Finally seeing some 13.5 T1s although this obviously isn't one of them. I'm fairly confident that I will find a few more tenths.

Finally made some progress on this using CSL's tune. Not easy to control but definitely fast.
