Share any secrets with those splits Ian  ?

Great job mate

Well, I like this pace, feels much easier for us DS3'ers 👍

T1: 37.725
T2: 19.884

Anybody found some sort of braking mark for the Hairpin before T2 and the last corner? I find its a bit of a hit and miss affair for me, which makes it hard to nail it when your .1 or .2 up on your best splits

I'm braking just before the long light pole shadow across the road, seems to work okay for me. As for the last corner I'm still working that one out but my best lap had me braking as the car had come out of the previous corner and become straight, no actual brake point though...but I'm no D1'er so I'm probably wrong :sly:

I'm also curious about these big blue rumbles??? If you hit them right they drag you around the corner. My current best lap had them helping me up the hill after T1 and I had a lap where it pulled me around the first corner with a car length on my ghost?!? It doesn't feel very sportsman though to use rumbles to pull you around corners?!?

First few laps had me daydreaming of the HPA TT on this track, instead of little Spoony.
But then I got to like the Spooner a bit. Apparently not as much as *some* of you though. :)

That turn 3 is a doozy. :dunce:

First run, only had time for 8 laps.

T1 37.816
T2 19.608

Can anyone tell me if you have less or more power once the battery runs out? Since I only had a time for a quick run and my battery ran out after six laps I didn't have the time to test it properly in the two remaining laps that I completed.

I will say this combo is fun to start with but I think chasing the last tenths at the end of the week will become frustrating.

Cheers Shaun.

More splits from me:

T1: 37.616
T2: 19.585

Maybe a couple of tenths out there for me but I'm pretty happy with this lap 👍

I noticed my lap times going down hill after the 7th lap, so it might be a good idea to restart when the battery is empty.

never even noticed the battery level...I always got my best times on lap 3 or 4 of the set though, so that would explain it.

First "Sunday Drive" was a little bumpy for me! Got to stay off the red and white boulders!

For turns leading to a straight, do you always want to take a late apex? Because I thought I've read that you should always do that with fast cars, but sometimes with slower cars it's better to keep your speed up with a constant-radius turn. Although I'm not sure I can even tell which one I'm doing. :)

Maintaining momentum is definitely key in a combo like this one. Wit the lower HP, it's often possible to get back on the throttle much sooner than you would in a car with more power. You can take tighter lines, and be back on the gas even before the apex, in some cases.

Yeah, I had a brief run yesterday, and noticed I could get through lap 5 with the electric power on. I didn't manage to watch my replay or grab slpits yet, I'll do that tonight. Once the electric power goes away, the car is slower. So, unfortunately, that means having to restart every 5 laps. Another challenge for all of you this week. :dopey:

Well this explains a lot, I did about 25 continuous laps last night and was getting frustated because even though my line (i thought) was getting better, my times did not reflect that.

Had another session today and my last one for this one aswell:

Submitting this time now.I can see 0.1-0.15 more overall but I'm pretty happy with my last sector so don't feel like chasing that.
Btw.Nice splits Animera, will be close in the finish line this week...👍

Got in a couple of laps. I like this combo, it's radically different and more .. leisurely paced. Need to work on them lines though, make sure i take advantage of the track width.

T1: 37.670
T2: 19.998

First Splits:

T1: 0'37.830
T2: 0'19.491

I know I'm leaving a lot of time in sector 1, but enjoying the relaxed pace of this combo so far.

So, this is part time trail, part energy management?

Update.

I’m hearing footsteps …. :nervous: I guess I better get off the couch and get back into the zone.

Pretty happy with this. Hopefully it'll place reasonably

First (very short) session. 8 laps.
I think it's hard....
to stay awake :)

T1 : 37.714
T2 : 19.526

As ever with my driving, one step forward, one step back. But, better splits anyway. Got T1 down to the last tenths now, though this was way slower than my best of .052. T2 was frustrating today, but looked at the replay of earlier attempt and can see what I'm doing wrong.

Targeting a low .3 before I submit.
