Latest splits, slower T1, better T2.

T1, 1'01.429
T2, 50.111

Seems like T2 is going to be te deal breaker

Haven't been able to match my splits fromast night. Still tuning.

Car is at 205hp so almost fully broken in.

Justin.

EDIT:
Added some time on T1 but pulled a .5 off my T2 time

1:02.048
50.984

Done for the day. Trying to get my hands on a dfgt.

Justin

Finding more time in 2nd sector now the car is at 205hp. Had a few t1s about 3 tenths up on this current time, but keep missing the apex at the hairpin.

T1 1'01.227
T2 50.038

Only about 1 in 10 laps results in me reaching the end of t2, very small margins for error.

Cheers

These are the last ones for me. I know I could find more on track with more time to commit.

Had a great final sector, beating a ghost that was from a dirty lap with a better T2.

Looking forward to the online race next week. :mischievous:

That's a shame that you can't get more seat time Kevin - you killed me in wk20 (0.6 at the line in the end) so you are very much my yardstick for Suzuka. Was looking forward to seeing what you could do here (and seeing if I could be a bit closer :sly:). There's less than 0.2 difference at the splits though and that can easily be lost/gained at the chicane.

Are you sure you can't sneak down in the middle of the night for a few laps? :mischievous:

Have a good weekend. Thanks for sharing your set-ups and also thanks for putting up another great combo

I'm actually quite happy with what I was able to achieve in my session tonight. In the end, I was just setting out to beat my lap from last night, and I managed to beat that dirty ghost. Could have had another 0.2-0.3 at T1, but that was very inconsistent for me.

My rig is in the "Suite" area of my master bedroom. So, nope, not gonna work.

Always happy to share setups, and just glad I've gotten good enough at it that people actually like them. :dopey:

The backup guys will have a couple good combos in store for you as well. We'll have guest stewards for the next 2 events, and I'm planning a big one for week 54. :)

Thanks again Kevin! Played around with your setup and I am very pleased. If I could only duplicate my previous T2 I would be happy! This is .1 slower in fetchy but .9 better overall! Bring it on D4!

Cool - must admit I laughed out loud when I read about where your rig is. The things we do for our hobby/addiction... :sly:

Now back from my trip away, and most of you inconsiderate buggers have overtaken me :dopey:
My G25 is making some horrible noises - I'm hoping it holds together long enough for me to do justice to this combo.

I fiddled with my setup, now it feels really well balanced and easy to drive for me - if anyones interested I'll share it (although I don't profess to be a tuner).
I'm chuffed with having found over half a second at the line with these splits:

1'00.521
50.270

With Lou8ball now right on my tail I have started pushing much harder than I had, which largely has not meant I have been going faster but instead spinning a lot more. I did manage a pb in T1, lost some in T2 then another pb in T3 for my overall fastest lap :D.

The worrying part is Lou8ball's last splits were at only 205hp :nervous:

It's actually quite a large space, I'll post some pics one of these days if I ever get around to taking them.

It was an extra bedroom or suite option in the original floor plan, and it was one of the things we really liked about the house when we first walked through (on a relocation tour). We have a double recliner "loveseat", the 37" flatscreen, my elliptical machine, and the rig all up in the area with room to spare.

Works out nice, as I never have to fight for TV time, and distractions are limited.

But there's no way I would get away with sneaking out of bed for laps without waking the wife.

It's time for me to get my feet wet on this one. Even though my head is swimming with all the different tunes, I'll stick with Kevin's to start. I hope to pour forth some times shortly. :)

Racing On!

I set my last times with the Jon version of my tune, except I was using 8/2 Brake Balance. The 9/1 is more stable in the high speed stuff, but it has a tendency to cause more understeer in the 3 slowest corners, being Degner 2, Hairpin and the entrance to Casio. I think the BB adjustment is what helped me pick up so much time in the second sector compared to my prior sessions.

My evolution of my tune was headed that direction anyhow, he just forced me there a little quicker. ;)

T1: 1'03.816
T2: 0'54.362

Nutty nutty oversteer, too fast on entry and it steps out, let off on the throttle and it steps out. I'm not very talented anyway, but the car makes me look like a hero.

The lift off oversteer is always there in the elise and more so in the rain. I'd say that's also the one handling characteristic that reveals the weakness in my driving the most so this event especially (and this car always) is a good challenge for me.

The tunes above do help out quite a bit offline, but don't try them online... those tunes are impossible [for me] to drive online even with modified ride heights. Pekka's (MadMax86) has posted a nice online rain tune for the elise, but you will sacrifice a lot of speed for that control. If you can't keep the car on the track offline you might want to give that tune a whirl just to see how it works offline.

Latest splits, better consistency, finally found a setup I like.

Now to string 3 best sectors together.:scared:

I think this is the trickiest combo I've done yet in the WRS.

T1, 1'01.151
T2, 50.310

This my time with NO SRF . The yesterday fake test take all my energie. But it´s ok ,enough rain for me.

T2 50.547

Well that's some way to make an entrance Praiano - outstanding sector 1 time

Thanks. The LSD and camber make the difference at one moment. low camber value and not to open LSD . An open LSD like 8/10/X dont pass the traction to the road. It`s safe but slow. When i set 10/20/X my car jump out of my ghost any retake out corner and it`s still very safe.

Just had another run, am back on your tail, lol. Im at full power now but was a slow sector 3 - hesitated out of the last corner because I didn't want to ruin the lap.

T1 1'00.972
T2 50.096

Running close to my limit now I think.

What an entrance Praiano 👍

Using your tune at Tsukuba online TT so just to thank you ("obrigadão") :sly:

Al, this is just about my limit! I can improve T1 but seems to ruin my T2, so went for balance in both sectors. Still using Kevins Modified Tune. Its going to be a busy week for me, so I will miss the 3D3 Race. Good Luck!

It appears as I've made our D3 competition a little closer.
Made a mess of T3 so hope to improve on that.

hasslemoff's first sector has been put on the leaderboard as one point one one one seconds, amazing time hassle :D

I updated his post to put in the single quote... hopefully fetchy will fix it by itself.
