Oh this is SOO frustrating, my fastest overall lap slpits up as:

19.325
29.310
24.643

Its a PB for T2 and close for T3 but the T1 ruins it, I have had an 18.67X once so i've got it but i just can't get them all out together.

My wheelstand (old cut up table) is seriously feeling the strain here.

Have to say though my driving is improving massively, after a couple of weeks of WRS i can now set a car up much better, rotate in corners and begin to brake neare the 'proper point'. I'm smashing track records i thought were fast by seconds. so its coming good, just everybody else is faster :(

The 2nd corner in T2 before the mini tunnel is a lap killer for me. I seem to change what I do there each lap, with mixed results.

Couldn't better my time this session, try again tomorrow 👍

18.532
28.820
24.550

Finding the Maserati lovely to look at, and that Ferrari engine is sweet - but what idiot specced the gear ratios??

Still, gained the "roll over" trophy last night when I got the final chicane hopelessly wrong and put the thing on its roof...good job it doesn't cost us anything.

And just to prove that you shouldn't restart if you can't beat your ghost through sector 1...

This :nervous:

Knew my T4 was rubish but not so much :banghead:

New splits but much better at the line

T1: 18.443 :irked::mad:
T2: 28.721
T3: 24.269

18.837
29.414
24.920

I may not get much more time at this....but may have to give Chris' way of running T1. Thanks for the vid, Chris.

T1: 18.443 :irked::mad:
T2: 28.721
T3: 24.269

Very generous of you to come back towards the rest of D2 hehe ;)

Looking forward to running some more at the weekend, only got 2 hours in so far, gotta work out T1. Despite watching Chris's video, I can't actually convert anything better than a .450, which I've beaten once in what must be 60-70 restarts? Vexing.....

18.844
29.311
24.548

Not really able to pull a Chris in T1 yet, but I'll keep on trying.

Had a terrible run today, just couldn't get the first sector right and always ending up somewhere back first in a fence.

Getting the hang of this tank! Lots of fun! My splits stayed pretty much the same but I found .4 in the final sector!

Big thumbs up to Lou8ball, your the man.👍 Within 1 second of Twissy with a DS3 is awesome.

Going to try and catch you now.:)

Tight racing in D2 this week!!

And it's all gonna come down to the final sector! :scared:

Same here, just had another pointless 30 laps...

I find my fastest T1's actually come from when I clip the wall at the end of the previous lap, it slows me slightly over the line and momentarily I see my ghost race ahead, but my slower speed gives me a better smoother line through the first complex and I usually end up slightly ahead or at least level at T1.

Struggling to get a flow this week.

Well its been a while since my new baby takes up most of my time

got in a few laps and theres some room for improvement (i hope:dunce:)

so far

18.842
29.339
24.681

Those are some incredible splits for only two hours, Matt!! 👍 Nice sector!

I've hit a wall at the second split. :banghead:

No matter what I do, I can't get in front of my ghost at the second split. I can catch back up to him from a tenth and half behind, but not pass him before the line. Even with a t1 in the .2xx. :ill:

Oh well, only 20-25 hours in on this so far. There's still plenty of time!!

Racing On!!

T1: 18.484
T2: 28.808
T3: 24.538

Only .02 faster after T3 but .25 faster at the line.:)

T3: 24.767

Now if I could combine that T1 time with my first T2-T3 I would be thrilled.

New splits. I see that I'm not the only one having trouble with T1 today.

18.424
28.683
24.335

.1 faster at the line. Looks like there's still .2 left, but we'll see if I can put it together.

Can someone tell me why some of the times on the leaderboard are brown? Does it mean anything?

Those are the top times/splits for each division.

Well I am sad to say another 200 laps in and only 1/10th improvement.

I am struggling with this tank..... At least the Jets won tonight!

19.189
29.605
24.612

Thanks vagabond and jack, i hope to hit t3 a little better before the deadline and make the apex through the final turn for a tenth or 2 at the line.

Great video vagabond, i was just wandering though (not that i could get near it at all myself!) for the short straight to the tunnel would you get more acceleration shifting back to 3rd for more of a pull into the turn? Or does it keep the car more stable under braking being in 4th? What your doing is obviously very fast though, great times!

Cheers

Another great morning for racing! The sunrise is very colorful, making the ideal backdrop to the outline of our local mountain. Coffee is brewed and just the right temperature. The missus won't be up for a few hours, so I've got plenty of time to view my replay and go over my notes.

My goal for the week is a top ten overall with hopefully a division podium. Looking at the leaderboard, it's t3 that's killing me. And I know exactly where.

On the left hand sweeper at the bottom of the hill, I pushed wide and didn't get on the throttle soon enough. I could make a tenth up, or more, consistently on this ghost yesterday in that one corner.

I see now it was because I was carrying more speed than usual going into it. I had a nice jump out of the tunnel, going onto the back straight, hence the 46.978 for a t2.

If I can be within a tenth of this ghost at t2, [under a 47.100] I can hopefully get enough in that corner, and then carry it through to the line!

For the record, it's been about 25-30 hours of driving. Probably 8-10 of that was serious time trialing. I want to get a better lap today and then go do some on-line testing. That's the plan!

Racing On! :gtpflag:

Some new splits for me, slower T1 and T2, but faster at the end of the lap to find a tenth overall.

Very slow progress though!

18.550
28.863
24.287

For the record, it's been about 25-30 hours of driving.

:crazy: Are you going to the 50 hours on this combo? :dopey:

Blew a 1.'11.1xx and several .2xx :banghead:

Even so, some new splits better at the line.

T1: 18.240
T2: 28.872
T3: 24.295

(looks down an become blind by the alien green light )

Done 1 hour in total and got a lap I'm happy with.:)
That has been different in past WRS weeks.

Now to find 1 tenth in 6/7 hours.:dopey:

Since you've got so much extra time, Wes, how 'bout some tips? :P

Like, for the right hander just after the monkey branch, just before the 2nd tunnel...brake tap, or not? Stay in 3rd with just a lift and quick back on full throttle?

For the next hard left after that, between the 2nd and 3rd tunnels...stay in 3rd again with just a tiny brake tap, and try to hug the wall on the left, going into the painted line area?

Sounds like a nice plan, Chuk. 👍 :)
Nice progress from lots of folks.
