Ok, I got it now. I'm such a dumbass, lol. One more stupid question tho. Am I correct in assuming that these events are not considered a conventional time trial in the sense that the best total lap time doesn't top the leaderboards. We are just adding the two sector times here for the leaderboard...right? So the last sector (there are 3 right?) or last part of the lap doesn't count for anything except for coming to the start/finish line in preparation for the next lap. Am I understanding this all corectly.

Throughout the week you only post your sector times on your best lap in the thread. At the end of the week, you'll send your best lap time to WRSFetchbot via PM. Ultimately, the total lap time will determine the rankings. Sharing and posting sector splits here is a good way to judge your progress and stay motivated.

It took me awhile to get used to the format as well. Read through the first post again for all the details 👍

Edit: roomboter beat me to it. I have to learn to type more quickly on my phone.

The leaderboard is so you have a good idea of how you are stacking up during the week.

But we keep the final sector a secret until the deadline.

In addition to posting splits here in the thread, you will need to submit a final time, as directed in the first post of this thread. That is sent to the fetchbot by PM, and is to provide ONLY your final laptime.

After the deadline, we post a results thread, like this one here, which shows all the final times.

If that's happening for you on your saved replay, then you are saving the wrong replay. You must save the ghost replay, which is only one hotlap.

OK to watch your replay from the in race screen before exiting, or OK to save both, if that's what you want to do, but when we request a replay, we expect it to be the ghost.

I do save the fastest lap replay or 'ghost replay' I just watch the full replay to check the split times :)

Ah, I get it now. I think I have eaten to many medicated brownies today, lol. My brain isn't workin' right, lol. Thanks for clearing things up.

First 10laps gave me these:

14.181
15.513

BB is still default here.

Nice Combo Kevin! 👍 Great car!

I have fallen off the pace for some reason. Maybe I already drove my miracle lap. Hope not, time for a break. Will come back to it later tonight after Clio practice!

Gonna give this a run, could anyone give us a heads up on the best settings for this TT? i.e. Brake balance, AS Off or Strong, need to short shift etc, been a while since I've done this!

My time is with BB at the stock 5/5, AS off and TC at 1. Read through this thread for some gear guidance, but I'm not doing anything funky.

Going to get started on this combo.

Edit: Really easy to get up and go with this combo, but I guess it would be after last week's tough combo. Car has a ton of grip and almost feels like a go-kart the way it handles.

Good evening Gentlemen, I hope I find you all well. :)

I spent an hour on this tonight and am finding it very hard to carry a good time to the end of the lap without bailing in T3. I think I got about 5 or 6 clean laps in that were worth anything time wise. Its a fun car to throw around but I'm not confident in that last sector and I suspect that's were the most time can be won or lost. I'll have another hour to spend on it at the weekend I hope but I'll submit with this for now as its another busy week for me. Good luck everyone.

13.885

Well here goes for my first time trial

13.945
15.422

Looks like I have work to do but it's a start.

More splits, not sure how strong my T3 is. I think I lost 3/10ths in the final turn.

BB 2 8 ABS 1 Active Steering Strong, early laps before tires warm up. Set a PB thru T3 at least 2 tenths quicker with the AS on...still gotta use some throttle control. haha

Gears I use. 2nd thru corner 1. Chicane of T2 I stay in 4th all the way thru it and downshift to 3rd for the last right hander of T2s entry. T3 Im in 3rd and coast up to the first 90 left and downshift to 2nd for its entry. 2nd thru the next 90 and 3rd thru the last corner. Its a pretty simple shift pattern, basically running one gear high everywhere.

Yesterday i was shifting like a mad man up down up down. Wouldnt want to even try to describe the gears I was using.

Todays pattern feels much more relaxed dont feel as fast but im 2 1/2 tenths lower at the line.👍:)

Interesting fact: this car is almost 4 seconds slower than a 125cc kart around Autumn Ring Mini

Slightly slower split, but got over x.1 at the line thanks to PB T3 and PB T1 to boot :). Was bummed to see my ghost nose me out at T2 line after such a good t1, But I hung on to 3rd for the first corner in T3 :scared: to put him behind me for good. Can't seem to replicate that T3 T1 combo. Might be it for me.

13.825
14.988

13.912
15.032

Slower splits, but found. 3 in t3.

Seeing an occasional high .7 in t1 so I know there's a fair amount left.

I think the new wheel is broke in now.

Edit : Good to see you again Jack, been a while.

I'm stuck in T1 & T2. I've seen an OA improvement but am 0.025 slower combined 2/3rd around.

Does Fetchy pick up slower splits? (I guess it just looks for the last posted one) If so I'll update later.

Edit: nice combined time gman! Easy to remember :)

Really having trouble getting through that last dog leg to the finish line. I'm losing as much as .500 in just that section. I suppose its against the rules for someone to post a video of just that section uh? I've tried different approaches to this section and I can't get nothing to work. I've must have done over 1000 laps so far and its just this one section thats holding me back. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

After sector two, the first right I down shift to second and keep it at high rev through the turn, left angle, keep it in second brake in the middle and turn. Right angle, open left then cut the corner coasting in second. The last part I use the shadows as break markers, when you approach the first thin line if light on the road, brake, downshift to second then turn, keep it at high second, through the corner then finish.

Hope that helps, sorry if I left run on sentences. Haha

Make sure you are close to the left side wall coming up to the final turn complex. My braking point is right about where the orange and white barrier sticks out. I take the turn in 3rd gear, momentum is very important, and 2nd scrubs too much. You want to do all you can to apex as close as possible to the right side barrier without hitting it. This will set you up to be close to the left side on exit without hitting, and to hammer down on throttle for exit back toward the right side. Take all the curb you dare for all parts of this.

Rather than worrying about tying a great last sector to great splits, just hammer away at this until you beat your current fast lap with slow splits. It's the most important corner on the course and I've come from well back on the board for a podium in the past, just from being right in the last sector and especially the final corner.

Very fast for D2 - beyond me for sure! Just check that there is no skid recovery force involved here and I mean that without accusation or offence. 👍
