Hmm, I have been practising with the Zonda at Monza for the enduro this weekend.
Thought I changed cars though.:scared::P
 
Well a rather auspicious return to the WRS last week - I forgot to post my lap time after posting splits! Try not to make that mistake this time around :embarrassed:

It'd be nice if I could actually get a time worthy of Division 1 this time, but sadly these times would only put me in 12th (conveniently below everyone in Division 2). I must have got lucky in the registry qualifier. :irked:

Dion, I must be doing something wrong at turn 1, because I seem to be faster going down to 2nd gear there rather than going down to only 3rd...

Seen a good few low 29.8's as best T1 and 1'18.3 my best at T2 but always a stupid error appears in the last few turns :ouch: will try again soon and fiddle some more with the brakes and asm etc... :dunce:

Getting the hang of it I think, just did a 3 hour session. :lol: I think I figured out every possible way to ruin a lap in that session, :mad: :banghead: :lol:

Thats what I found also. I accidently downshifted to 2nd one time and came out of that corner ahead of my ghost so I've been downshifting to 2nd for that corner ever since.

Me too.;)

But then I haven't even tried 3rd gear..
 
I did try it for a little but had trouble keeping the car from sliding.. but the times don't lie... I'm loosing way too much time for only 3 corners...

Will give it a better shot tomorrow.

2nd Session for me today (30mn). I can't get the 29' in 1st split, i suck :yuck: . I try to follow Wes's tip for the turn 2 but i feel the car too high in the rpm and i touch the wall of turn 3 exit on every laps :(
Good point, i improve my 2nd and 3rd splits lap after lap. I think i'll post new splits for my 3rd Session tonight or tomor.
 
Haven't seen D1 "barn storm" the leaderboard like this for a while. 👍 Now if you guys would all show up for the online race that would be something to behold.

I'll be watching this week... with the enduro this weekend and a night out with Kevin and Lucas tomorrow there will be no time left for this. And it's far from a drop in and drive for 2/3 sessions type of ride for me like it was last week. This one is a grinder!!!

Still not very good, but I'm not expecting any miracles this week. Just trying to learn the track and proper racing line. More of a learning week for me rather than a competition, but thats what I'm here for anyway.
 
Had another 40 mins and saw a 30.056 in sector 1, can't see how I can possibly improve that, didn't string it together though and ended up a tenth shy on my best of the session. This is definitely a grinder as Tim said :)

Hopefully can get to a 1'19 flat....

I have a question about a clean lap. If, on that chicane you have pictured, 1 or 2 wheels drop into that zone, is it dirty, even tho the other 2 wheels are still on the track.(or curb)

As long as 2 wheels are still on the curb, you're fine. 👍
 
Ok, because I was looking at wge's replay and it was considered dirty. (week 67)
Yes, we had a special rule for track boundaries in the chicane in week 67. I don't know why but this week we're back to the 'normal' track boundaries.

Found some magic on the last sector. Really starting to like this track but still got a long ways to go as far as learning the lines, braking zones, ect. Going to go play with the new Vette Proto now.
 
Had time for a quick session tonight,

its starting to get together but i lost almost everything in T3 :crazy: i was looking at the split time and missed the first curve of T3, from there it felt like walking on eggs for the rest of the track haha

Tricky and fun combo!

Brake bias 2/2 ABS 10
 
I've been using ABS 1, (always have) and I see a few people here using ABS 10. Just wondering, does it really make that big of a difference with it at 10. I hate to switch because of my (almost) purist ways, but if it helps that much, maybe I should switch. I kinda want to keep improving my skill set without adding more/amount of aids. Any thoughts/advice about this. I mean, by not using all allowed, I'm starting to feel like I'm cheating myself out of better lap times. See my dilemma here?
