I cant say if ABS 10 help that much, i never use more than 1 normaly, but seen it was used on most event and thought i should use it, i use no other aid, id say the difference is probably minimal on ABS 10, more experienced people using ABS10 can probably give a more accurate answer. :)

I would say the most gains would come from how the car is driven. In this car, the right line, weight transfer and throttle control in the right gear is really important, its a good combo to learn how to use weight transfer and throttle control,

if you dont drive with 2 foot in same time you can try to work on that, it will allow smoother corner entry when needed to give throttle and brake in same time or for the transition from braking to throttle and vice-versa... (with all cars in general)

:)

I've been working on just that (2 foot) and it has really helped me alot. Still a long way to go to master it but I'm getting there. Thanks for your insight, its always appreciated.

Getting more and more consistent in T1, it's time to start working on T2!

Gained .6 over my previous posted lap, still a couple tenths to put together.

I've been using ABS 1, (always have) and I see a few people here using ABS 10. Just wondering, does it really make that big of a difference with it at 10. I hate to switch because of my (almost) purist ways, but if it helps that much, maybe I should switch. I kinda want to keep improving my skill set without adding more/amount of aids. Any thoughts/advice about this. I mean, by not using all allowed, I'm starting to feel like I'm cheating myself out of better lap times. See my dilemma here?

I tried it in the monza mclaren event but didn't notice too much of a difference. But thats the thing with me I never really notice too much of a difference even with tunes (unless they put too much oversteer in the car.) I would figure that abs would stop the car from locking up but abs 1 does the trick so I dont see the need for abs 10. ABS 0 sometimes works well, especially with cars that dont want to turn in. It worked well for the Daihastu TT but you have to be careful on the brakes otherwise you just lock up and slide off

After about 8 more hours of practice, I finally improved the lap. I think I hate this combo now.

Could possibly find another tenth.

Ok so I'm using 2nd gear in the first corner and its definitely faster, but I still have no idea how to take Casino.... 2nd or 3rd....hug tightly or enter in wide... double apex?? or later apex... then that silly little flick right is proving to be tough too due to the camber in the roads

. My best ever T1 has been a 29.8 and that was once.. all the rest are 29.9 - 30.1.

How are you getting 29.6's/7's

The rest of the lap I apparently flick a switch and seem to have no issues with. I improved by .4 at the line with the following, topping it off a PB in T3 as well.

30.078
48.372

And I still can see .2 in T1 - T2.

Makes no sense why I'm loosing .4 in the first 3 corners....

I hit the line at 100mph, brake for Sainte Devote and can maintain 60 or maybe 61mph through the turn in 2nd gear, then floor it up the hill - I too can't work out how to use 2nd gear for Massenet/Casino so I stay in 3rd, again I don't think I drop below 60 - a couple of times I've done it in what I would say is almost perfect (for me) yet only done 30.0xx

In short - what Dion said  - How in science's name can you squeeze that much time out of those turns :banghead:

@Baron - Very nice splits! I will get somewhere close to those I hope.

30.106
48.902

Should've been better. Started going wrong at end of T2 and continued from there for a measily .070 at the line. BB 3/0 works best for me.

Massanet/Casino - Stay left and straight line the exit, went quicker when I started doing this.

Nice improvement Daniel :) keep it going!

Dion,
I can try to explain what i think is the line used, i still need to work on it though. :) basicaly i brake just before teh top of the hill for teh casiono curve, you need to have a smooth decelerating line and downshift in 2nd with high rev keeping half throttle to give more turn-in near the end of the left hand turn, you want the car to get as left as possible when the armco start to go very left, to be in line for the right hand, release throttle for the weight transfer or the car will oversteer, and get close to the inside curb on right full throttle in 2nd gear, shift slightly before the top of the hill, the car should get really close to the armco on exit.

Hard to find the word in english to explain :scared:

Thanks Mike, I will give it a crack and see if I can improve my T1.

I just ran this lovely lap.
29.993

Normally the T1's are the first part you nail because thats the section of the track you run the most

30.283
49.161

Have seen a couple of sub-30 second T1 sectors so there's more to come, but quite happy with the rest of the lap. Throttle pedal still playing up though...

30.278
48.463

Can't really explain where that sector 2 time came from. Nailed the chicane though and the next left was good, reasonable last sector. Clearly a bit of time left in sector 1 though.

Swimming pool is the hardest part for me. Can't slow it down without being slightly out of control.

Key to that is to hold 3rd for longer in the braking zone, then grab 2nd right before you need to be on the gas 👍. Downshifting to 2nd too early (well the right time in other cars) causes the rear to slide around, though you may be doing that already, in which case try a bit more overlapping of gas/brake. If all that fails... well.. 🤬

Nice T2 Dion! look like there will be a good battle for top!

Well done millross(sorry dont remember your name) :)

New splits :D (accidently put a 45 lol)

29.830

WOOP!

I sure hope that fun translates into fast sometime in my life because I never seem to find the fast line around these asphalt trackz, it usally ends up as some low presure smooth flow through the turns that is insident free and stalls w/ days to go. I just wish that I could get smooth to be quick cause fun just keeps getting in the way.

T1: 30.418
T2: 50.110

Just can't put anything together than this.

Too much back/hip pain to put in the laps.

Still can't get the 29' in the 1st split but better than my old anyway.

30.182
48.408

Let's go to work on the last one now

29.896
48.718

Had a couple .7's in t1, and lost a bit in the chicane, but gained another .6 today so I'm quite pleased.

Starting to see some .3xx in T1, even got down to a .2. There's a good half second for me to find but I'm close to my goal so I may submit early.

30.672
49.104

Carlos Fandango
I'll say! Nice run Baron

Thanks, this car is a blast, and handles just about perfectly.

I suspect I might not be safe though, I'm sure Matt and Rock3t aren't done, and hopefully more d2r's will show up soon.
