GTP_WRS-Online : Academy/D-League Racing - Suspended Until GT7

It was great racing with you guys this past Saturday. Although not my best race by far lol. I had alot of time alone in the middle of the field while trying to catch the front runners. I had very little practice heading into the race. I spun out the very first lap which was a bit of a bummer, but I ended up getting from 33 seconds down to 23 seconds by the end of the race which made me even more sad cuz I might of been able to go to for the win... Still good racing with you guys and I'll try to make it for a few more races

You were defenitly ultra quick during quali...looking forward to see you on track again next time.

About next week : Due to the first WRS F1 race on Sunday, and the quali's on Saturday, I will be skipping this weeks academy and D-L races.

oh man and when you spun i had to run into you which cost me 4 positions which i then regained after an accident that i was not involved in but definitely could have been higher than 5th ah well was a good race and did decent so

Was wanting to do some racing this weekend but I guess I won't be. I do not like this car in the least bit in stock tune so I'm sitting this one out. Is next week going to be the Subie at Rome?

I'm lowering my chances, as I'm not that sure if I'm home for the start. I'm almost 50% sure, I'll be attending both races, though 👍.

Yes

Signed up and can't wait

Hi David and welcome to WRS-Online.

You qualified Division 1 so are not eligible to participate in the D-League feature race. However, you can join for the instruction hour / free run before that feature and run any reverse grid sprint races after the feature (not sure there will be any today given the F1 GP). You are also welcome to join any of our other events including our weekly races on Wednesday and special events (weekends) which are open to all drivers. You'll find those event threads here in the WRS-Online forum.

You will show up on the registration list for the academy now that I've processed your driver registration form, but you'll show up in the veterans section indicating your status.

Finally, you'll need to send friend requests to our three lounges on PSN per the instructions: GTP_3D3Racing, GTP_3D3_A and GTP_3D3_B as most events are held in those lounges.

Hey guys! I thought I'd do something new: I've made a demo race replay on Suzuka with the Camaro SS. It's four laps long and it shows the lines to take and to be consistent. I'm not saying this is THE way to run Suzuka, as I'm sure there are faster drivers, but it gives you an idea. If you guys have time to check it out before tonight, I'd recommend it 👍 Another bonus is that you can use any view you want (instead of the trackside cameras in the lobby) and the throttle/brake/steering inputs will be more accurate to what I'm doing.

Thanks Bart for the replays,

Lounge is open for practice.:)

Just tried to load it, but my ps3 can't see it. It's Ina

EDIT: My phone has a mind of its own :nervous:

Yes, that's because Bart's replays are PAL region. You are NTSC.

Great idea! 👍
Just tried to load it, but GT5 doesn't see it. I can see it in my PS3's saved data, but it's not in the import menu. Is there a step I'm missing?

Indeed, like Chris said, you can't view replays made by gamers using a PAL copy of GT5, because the American standard NTSC is different. Try searching the meaning of the acronyms on Wikipedia, you'll get what I mean ;)

Sorry in advance for the newbie question but how do i get the reply onto my PS3.

Im starting to learn how to drive without having the racing line on so would like to watch the video and maybe use it as as sort of learning lesson if that makes sense.

Ok I wasn't going to race, changed my mind, I showed up, decided to race, was watching PASM's demo laps, got DC'd, rejoined, watched more, got DC'd again. I'm not fighting it. I won't be there.

Chevrolet Camaro SS '10 @ Suzuka Circuit

Thanks again to GTP_PASM for a great demo lap.

The Academy is always very pleased if guys like PASM,Gooners and Twissy share their track knowledge.👍

Today no official race, unfortunately Sarkazmo had connection troubles,so we ended with five rookies and six is number to have an official result.
However it gave me a chance to race so I took part of the race.:)

A bit messy for me and MJ,both ended up waiting for each other to have some battling but Al and Dean had a consistent race, fighting for the topspots.

See you guys next week!

That's what I figured. I was more expressing disappointment that the game would not recognize something that's not technically encoded in PAL or NTSC. It's telemetry run through the game.

You're lap demos and drive alongs more than made up for what I missed in the replay! 👍

The impromptu practice for Rome was fun. But I need to break in my car. Al was easily pulling away from me on the straights. I'm missing that 10HP. Oh Bob! :)

Sorry I stopped but I was way to tired couldn't even concentrate on what happened in the demo laps.

I am so in for this one too!!!! I don't have 750 laps in but close to 500 so far! Not done yet! You will need to buy your car from the Subaru dealership and break it in.

I'll wait and see if my hip/back permits running next week. I had to miss last Sat because of it and taking pain meds puts me out of also! :ouch:

I want to compete in the new ARR combo when ever it happens so I'll be signing up for that one. Rome seems a little tight for the tracks I like to run on and ARR works so I'll be there :)

------------------------------------- UPDATE -----------------------------------------+

I'm in for Rome and my friend isn't doing his roof until 2 weekends from now and for the ARR race I'm going to bring my driving rig over to the job site and run that one from there ...
