Can't follow the spamfest on the GT5 forums, so thought to post here. ..I'd like to hear WRS'ers opinions about the new physics.. about to leave to work so can't test right now :( Wheel users more specifically but no matter, post away.. đź‘Ť
- braking feels different, when you're braking and downshifting hard, the car feels more unstable than before (I felt this especially when driving in the rain)
- turning into a corner feels 'smoother'

Its not that the physics changed drastically, a few tweaks here and there.
I'm using a G25 btw

Liking the update overall, glad they improved the replay controls (even if you can only jump to the start of a sector), but a little disappointed that the awesome 'fitted parts' summary in the setting menu is not available in replays. I was really looking forward to being able to do the WRS in a completely stock (non-arcade) car.

Sad that I didnt get a chance to buy up the expensive cars in the OCD before rewards went down and prices up, but **** happens.

@ EDK :) Just for general imformation and the obvious pretty much tells the story but since I'm spoiled and had a weekly antisapation to seeing the new combos pop out on Sun. in the past, is there a time that is relitive to your present schedule for future events that might be projectable?

Thankzzz......

I normally like to put the races up on Sunday.

Last week, I waited due to the 2.0 update, as I was concerned about people running an event with 2 different game specs.

This week, I'm waiting for the addition of the DLC, as I'm leaning toward using Spa for the week 36 combo.

Hopefully PD/Sony will release the DLC at the same time as they did the update last week, in which case I would most likely be able to post the week 36 combo tonight.

Hey EDK,

I hope its ok - just thought id invite everyone from WRS to check out WRC Rally (Link in my Sig or Click Here). It's pretty much like WRS but it's live and custom tracks are used :)

Great work in WRS, keep it up đź‘Ť

Looks like you might have to put up a non-Spa week 36 Kev...

Playstation Twittter
Update: GT5 DLC will hit the North American Store on 10/25 but will include a special bonus. Apologies for the inconvenience!

There is nothing on the EU twitter feed about EU/AU timing though

I'm flying up to my home town of Portland to run in this race on Saturday -

http://www.chumpcar.com/events.php

A friend of a friend has an '86 MR2 they run in it, they've taken 2nd and then 1st in some very large fields in the last 2 races they ran in.

This will be my first time on a real track, so I'm a bit apprehensive but really looking forward to it as well. I'll be running 2 stints of 2 hours each in the Saturday 12 hour race.

Wish me luck. :ill:

That sounds like a blast!

Good luck, and don't forget that the car wont bounce off walls when you overcook it like in GT

Here's a vid of the car running in April at the same track I'll be running this weekend.

Good luck Kevin. Looking forward to a full race report. Wow four hours is a lot of driving time. You'll be pretty familiar with that MR2 after Saturday.

Have fun and stay safe. I bet you'll be hooked on RL racing after this weekend. đź‘Ť

Good luck, Kev! đź‘Ť Sounds like your one-stop pit strategy won't work for THAT race. :dopey:;)

Thought to throw this out here..

Going to run tonight in my lobby some TC roadster / TC RX-7 with suitable tyres (haven't decided yet, CS's/CM's) Atm can't say the exact time but add me (GTP_Timppaq) if needed and interested, so far only me and my mate (Anaq) is going to be there.

edit, Spa / Nordschleife only most propably

Hey Timppaq, I don't know you personally, but frankly just in awe at your registry qualifying time. đź‘Ť

Anyway, since the invite topic is out there, thought I'd let you know that a bunch of the current WRS regulars are going to race the current WRS combo (Spa/GTR) next week (11/9) at 8:00 PM GMT (our regular weekly EU time slot). I don't know if that works for you or if you would be interested, but thought I'd send out the invite. Note: The event is open to any registry driver plus referred drivers outside the registry.

Also not sure we have anyone registered that'll keep up with you if you run Spa at anything close to your Nordschleife times, but maybe if you sign up there will be other "aliens" that might come out to play.

Details here --> Rock the KazSpa Online.

PS> If you can't make the race itself, but just want to "play around" we hold a regular EU practice slot on Tuesday (the day before the race) at the same 8:00 PM GMT time slot. Practice sessions last anywhere from 1 to 2.5 hours and consist of mostly free run laps with a few short (10-12 minute) test races thrown in to test the draft.

I would be there if I would have the car, which I don't. Your driving with Anaq was fantastic the other day.đź‘Ť

Yeah, defintely.:dopey:

Like I said I don't have the car otherwise I would have certainly joined you.

Okay, so when I submit my times now I just enter the final time and not all the extra stuff like before (GTP,PSN,Country,Time, Split, Split)?

Each week's Original Post contains info at the bottom about how to submit your final time, along with a link that takes you to the PM system, with the To: field already filled out (with WRSFetchBot). You then enter the Subject: listed in the OP, and ONLY the following in the body of the PM:

Time: x'xx.xxx

EXACTLY like that. Short answer to your question: Yes. đź‘Ť

As for reporting splits in the WRS threads, just follow the examples you see in the threads.

Seem's I won't make this week, as my 24hr at LeMans just won't go away. Look forward to next week then. :)
