that what i've done just like this "Time x'xx.xxx" as stated in the thread but it just comes back REJECTED?

Subject needs to look just like this. No quotes, no additional language -

GTP_WRS Week 30 Submission

Body needs to look just like this -

Time: 1'xx.xxx

You put quotes and a period in the body in your last PM, that's the issue.

Nine Hundred I was looking into hosting a 'Euro 3D3' event on wednesdays at 8pm UK time,
if anyone else in Europe is interested in taking part please note your interest on this thread to see how many wish to partake.
Event to be run to same rules and regs as the original 3D3 set up.

Not much luck with the 3D3 Euro division so far jimantonic?

Too bad because we had an amazing race last night (Mountaineering) to kick off the North American division :sly:. Video highlights here... D3 army very well represented as usual.

If anyone wants to sign up for the "Decisions, Decisions Online" event next Wednesday night, Hydro has posted the information here. Feel free to bring along a buddy and have them get a feel for what it's like racing with GTP_WRS drivers. We may have two new WRS recruits just from last night. 👍

So much funs, thanks to all who showed up, and to Tim for creating/hosting AND editing, what a cool Wed this turned out to be.

Congrats on the win Tim, and the really close 2nd, Marc. 👍

Next week I'm going to start racing from lap 1, instead of having my head up my 🤬 till around lap 8. :dunce:

Unfortunately the only other member interested was Nine Hundred but he was busy on wed eve, at least we would have both been on the podium if it had taken place!!

I was not sure where to post this, but wanted to get feedback from some of you guys who have upgraded to a better wheel.

I am currently using the DFGT but have just ordered the Fanatec CSR Wheel with the CSR Elite Pedals, and the CSR Shifter Set.

The reason I ordered this is because I currently own both consoles and this wheel is multi-platform.

What I wanted to know is, have any of you guys with a higher end wheel that have upgraded from a Driving Force Pro/DFGT wheel noticed anything positive in you're performances in the WRS since using you're new wheel, have you're times improved, and are you now more consistent?

I would say changes to my cockpit setup have done more for my times than hardware changes. That said, the pedals from a DFGT are a big jump. My last experience with the plastic pedals was my old DFP, and that was before I had a decent cockpit. When changing over to G25 and a cockpit, I went from top of D3 pace in GT4 WRS to taking D2 podiums and wins.

Last weeks combo (week 32) helped me make the decision to upgrade to a better wheel. The last corner in T2 was giving me all sorts of problems because of the dead zone at the top of the wheel. Entering this corner was like driving on one of the snow rally stages in the special events, where the wheel would suddenly loose all force feedback and I would find myself drifting wide.

With the Fanatecs functions to tweak dead zone and other things, I am hoping this is going to help me and be a step in the right direction 👍

Hi having a few problams with my replay, think ive messed up just wanted to verify a few things before i post the replay in wrs week 32 thread.

The first Problam is the replay with the time that i have submitted. When I saved the replay it had the time that i posted and it still shows the time I posted on the save screen, but when i play the replay it shows a time that is over one second slower.
I read some where about a glitch with replays but that was only if you quit after the lap you saved, i was running 20+ lap stints and it was lap 7 i saved.

Also just relised that my replay has saved as GT5 but my account is GTP_Hasslemoff, is that because the PS3 user name is GT5 and my online account is GTP_Hasslemoff. If it is am i able to change my ps3 user name and re save the replay.

Thought i read everything before joining but im not a very computer friendly person. (noob)

Thanks for any help and hope i can resolve this problem.

The time in the replay (top right?) is like the best lap before your current, I think. So I wouldn't worry about that, somebody may know more about it.

I think you can re change the name by pressing triangle before you choose the account.

When you watch a ghost/best lap replay it always shows the previous best lap time in the upper right corner, so that's normal.

You can't re-save a replay and without good hacking skills it's impossible to manipulate the replay files to show another user name.

When you're not logged in to the PSN, replays are saved under your PS3 user name. You should edit your PS3 user name from GT5 to GTP_Hasslemoff.

I hope it's possible to make an exception for a new user in this case.

Thanks Nine hundred and Viper for quick response, its cleared my worry about the reply time, ill get the replay posted and see what is said about the user name on the save file if it is a problem then ill understand.
Ill remeber for next time.

Cheers

I submitted my qualifier times about 5 days ago. My name isnt down on the registry yet so I dont know my division.

The information says I can enter the WRS even though I dont have a division yet . So I submitted my time and fetchbot declined saying im not on the registry. Is there anything I can do ? or do I just have to wait ?

You wont be able to submit a time until you're actually in a division.

You're allowed to post splits in the combo thread to compare with everybody else to give you an idea of how you'll do.

Hope that helps.

Just letting everyone know that I'll have week 34 posted about 14 hours from now, a little after the week 33 deadline time.

Just wanted to mention I submitted my qualifier and cant wait to see what division I qualified in... Expect 2 or 3 at best but put in an effort for D1. :)

Always nice to welcome another newbie in WRS :D :D :D

I thought I'd be D5 Bronze, I'm not really good on my DS3  I proved myself wrong though, a D5 Gold was pushing myself too far. :scared: Though I'm really having fun in the WRS right now, EDKs doing some really nice combos at the moment, enjoying the JAG right now.

The Spec 2.0 update and then DLC will present some nice benefits and interesting challenges for a series like WRS.

Kaz claims physics are going to "improve" and the update is supposed to take place mid-week (Oct 11) so assuming that changes offline physics, on the week of the update it could be apples 2 oranges as far as the current event and drivers that run before/after the update.

Replay rewind and fast forward will be a great help in making reviewing laps much easier. 👍

DLC car/track pack will introduce a dilemma. Does the WRS use these additions for combos and exclude people who don't have the DLC or ignore all the new toys?

Interesting stuff.

It also throws a small wrench in the gears of our weekly competition.

I want to see a relatively firm confirmation of the timing of the update before making the call on this, but we are going to need to extend the deadline of one of the WRS weeks until the update timing (or go a few days with no event at all). We don't want to have a major update like this one in the middle of a WRS.

I say we throw next weeks combo in on Tuesday, so we can have time to get used to the improved physics. Also, I suggest running a separate combo for people who own the DLCs. A Special event for the owners of them, if you will.

I'm not quite sure what you mean with the first part.

But the issue is this -

We can't have a WRS where it was possible for someone to run the event on one Physics platform, and then for an update to occur during the week that makes it possible for someone else to run it on another.

Now that we see the update has been confirmed for the 11th, we'll have a quick discussion as an admin team to decide what to do with this week's deadline.

But I can say assuredly that we will not be posting next week's WRS (week 35) until the update has been completed.

Nice to have some warning about all this. Week 1(?) had a physics-tweaking update mid-week, with little/no notice. :ouch:

Looks like weather/time of day will be controllable in Arcade Mode (for certain tracks). 👍
Aliens drive in the dark/wet, and humans drive in the light/dry? :dopey:

EDIT: Seriously though, the replay controls, tune save slots, and mid-race endurance saves are PLENTY for me. :D

You upload to this site, there's an option to add attachment when you reply to a thread, just select the zip from your computer.

When you download somebody's replay to view it, you'll have to basically do the opposite of uploading. Putting their replay file on your USB then putting on to your PS3.

Can't follow the spamfest on the GT5 forums, so thought to post here. ..I'd like to hear WRS'ers opinions about the new physics.. about to leave to work so can't test right now :( Wheel users more specifically but no matter, post away.. 👍

I didn't have much time before bed last night, but I ran about 5 laps of the 4 hour roadster endurance in the same Eunos that I used for week 33 WRS. I was only working to test out the endurance save feature, but based on that limited running, I would say if anything the physics are slightly refined, but not considerably different.

I think to be more fair and objective about it, I would want to run some laps of WRS 34, since that combo is the freshest in my mind, and I would have good relative times to compare against. Will do that tonight, after I get the next WRS up, of course. :sly:

Sure appreciate your thoroughness there "E". Looking forward to another one of your fun combos, as I contemplate how to exploit it for the online race :)
