I feel a little dumb asking, but I'd rather get a verdict now and not during replay verification.

I dont get it..why is this clean? I thought at least 2 tires have to be in contact with the white line? Has someone a video ou the 1. sector?

The white line rule is only in effect at certain tracks - like Willow Springs.

Tarmac is still tarmac - over the white line or not - and in this case is clearly defined by the bordering grass. It was the same at Trial Mountain.

I think this week would be really difficult with the DS3 controller. I could never reach div 3 times without the wheel. It's amaizing to see what you buttonmashers can do.
Its tough with the ds3. Tune prohibited trials are my favorite, but the past 4 weeks have been heavily favoring the wheel users. I'm not doodle (pre g27 era) or spud status, but Ive been time trialing long enough to know which events are going to be poor weeks for me.

That being said, it doesn't mean I'm not having fun. Its just frustrating when i put 1000+ miles on an event and not come within a second on the splits. Maybe we can get some ds3 love here and there
 
Took me 150km to get these and I'm still not happy with them:

Seen a .18x in T1 and I've also seen a .2xx T2. But I mess up somewhere in T3. T2 is so hard to get right, but when I get it right the inevitable issues with getting home safely and faster than my ghost ensue. But considering I've been off playing other games for a couple weeks I think I can get to where I want to be by the end of the week.

And that's probably half a second away.

(Total rookie moment when I first started this TT, I had the car in the garage already so I changed the oil and went to the track - Real grip and TC off etc. but I started doing laps and wondering why I was getting 58 sector 2 splits, I couldn't work it out - I did about ten laps like that before I realised. I was on SH.:ouch:)
 
Yesterday was an improvement as I managed more clean laps...have finally stopped slamming the barrier on the corner before the first tunnel. The main struggle I am having with this car is that, coming up to certain corners and the track/car are ganging up on me with "You really want to powerslide this corner....you really want to.....go on, you''ll enjoy it" and I just have to....it is fun but not very fast :lol:.

Anyway, I managed to improve my overall lap time by .8 so I am happy there. While it's easy to get into a rhythm with this car, much like the RX-7, it is still difficult to keep the tyres from smoking (maybe I can try them with a patch or e-cigarette? Would that help? :D). I have worked out Sector 1 mostly and a PB of 26.1 is close to my best.....I just need to sort out Sector 2 as I am happy with Sector 3:

S1: 26.367
S2: 56.750
 
I have absolutely no idea this week. 2 hours at it today and I can't even get semi close to improving my splits that have me placed firmly on the bottom of the leaderboard.
Crazy frustrating. Just seem to be under steering or losing traction everywhere.

I would be greatful for a S1 video if anyone feels like posting one. :cheers:
 
All these resets are making me pretty good in the first sector... I just threw away a .613 by spinning out the next corner :mad: :lol:

In my usual fashion, I improved with worse sectors:

25.793
55.325

Impressively, made up 2 tenths in the last sector 👍

Just to rub salt in the wounds. I had another (close call) .613 T1 and a .939 T2, only to bin that as well :banghead::banghead: :( :(

This should probably go on the suggestions page but it is for this TT
How about I do one of these each week, to the mods spec and to identify what the boundary rules are? Yellow line to show points where likely red flags could occur.
It might clarify a few of the inevitable questions before they happen?
Just a thought and a bit of fun :)

This TT is just making me hate the new way every single MR car handles... Ran another 40 minutes and was consistently 2 seconds slower than yesterday. Ugh. -_-
 
Given the issues I am having with keeping more tyre rubber on the tyre than on the track, I tried using TCS 1 to try and give it a bit of stability but, while it helped in some areas, it was slower overall. Also played with the ABS and ABS 3 helps a lot in Turn 1 and the downhill after the S in Sector 2 but isn't so good for the first corner out of the second tunnel and the final corner...still managed to go quicker but not sure about it. Struggling to sort out Sector 2 and getting the time below 30secs...on the other hand, am happy with S1 and have seen a .0:

S2: 56.560
