Updated the leaderboard, its been a while so let me know if I made any errors 👍 as there are many new faces and more divisions :P I've been sick as a dog the past 4 days (not swine flu haha) and I may give the TLD tune a go if I feel better this week.
Hey Jerome, thanks for that and I see no errors at all so you can't be that rusty  hope you recover from your sickness soon 👍

First session last night got some splits. Using the TLD tune 👍 but with slightly different brakes so I get a bit of a roll mid corner. I'm a bit heavy with the brakes!!!

T1 32.124
T2 54.157

Anyone got any tips for breaking the 32 and 54 barriers?

Too busy and I don't like events where tuning is required, depends too much on the tune. Not driving skill. But i'm really busy this week anyway, so I won't be competing.
I agree. Im not keen on the events where tuning is required either. :)

Well geez, don't you realise that events requiring tuning are a great source of advertising and business for garage owners such as myself?

I fail to notice why that should affect his personal opinion on events needing tuning. It's his personal opinion and it does not affect you (or anyone else for that matter) in any way.

Touchy touchy, your response seems too preachy for my liking.👎

I just said im not too keen on them. I didnt mean to offend anyone.

You didn't offend me, I forgot to add either a :P or :sly: smilie in. But still, what's the harm in giving it a go? Take my tune.:P

Unfortunately i dont have the time to complete this weeks wrs and usually i do participate in events that require tuning and seem to remember finishing ahead of you in all of them:sly: 👍

But did you do that with or without tuning? :) (just curious) Because if you didn't tune, I imagine that you could be much faster. ;)

, *notes division difference*. Proof it's the driver and not the tune.:sly:

No i definetly tune my car there is no possibility i could do the same times with a standard tune. I just think that you dont get a realistic response from the changes to the tune you make. It actually says, for instance to be carefull how low you make your car because if set too low you will have no suspension travel,or spring settings in another case if set too stiff your tyres could have less contact with the road surface. I have seen in your tunes and other tunes posted (some with very quick times)minimum ride heights and very firm springs, for me with my expeirience i find a car performs better with suspension travel which means a balanced setting between firmness and ride height. But the game doesnt seem to recognise this. :boggled:Its great to see on the other hand people like yourself helping out by giving people without tuning knowledge unlike ourselves,a chance to try something that works for us:)To Paulie.

Sorry my quote was to Paulie:dunce:

Given that GT5:P is not a finished product, I think it may just be dummy proof, most cars don't seem to be able to bottom out. (If you recall GT4 it was very easy to over-do your suspension and make it too stiff).

+1. I have noticed some cars dragging at higher speeds when set to low (mainly /Tuned models), but with most cars it's perfectly safe to drop it as far as possible. I suspect PD set minimum ride heights well above the real minimum.

I do remember that and that is a valid point. But GT5p is the game we are playing and thats why i dont like the tuning in it. It doesnt bottom out so just lower it all the way..Thats not how i think, and you sure as hell shouldnt get a faster car for doing that.

Could also be that we mostly race smooth tracks. Some cars on Eiger make the wheel very violent at certain points. TBH, I'm not too sure what the effects of bottoming out would feel like in GT5.:boggled:

Edit: @ DEVIE, agree whole heartedly, I think deep down tuners (or anyone who tinkers with their cars) could be looking forward to GT5 even more than everyone else.:sly:

The difference i have noticed by having the ride height set too low is the tyre grip. Its just something i have noticed but listen to the tyre noise while cornering with suspension set too minimum, then try minus 12 minus 12 in the R35 GTR and tell me what you think. You have less grip i think and the tyre screech is different

.

I will try that.👍 I may not notice the difference, but we'll see.👍 I also have the theory that apart from toe settings, the tuning has less effect on the car than it should, again due to it only being a demo, and to make it dummy proof.:) I could be completely wrong though, and the changes are still indeed normally noticeable. (Not to mention that some things have the wrong effects, like front toe).

I understand what your saying and like i said before thanks to you guys (tuners) for helping to elimenate those flaws in the game:tup:

Maybe this is an indication that there may be something beyond 'Pro' physics? 💡 I noticed that you can make some really extreme settings when using standard physics, and less so on Pro. Maybe GT5 will introduce a new physics setting ('sim'?)? All speculation of course (and nothing to do with WRS 27 :P)

Thanks Cohiba100 for that GRRRRRREAT tip i'll try it next session and see what happens 👍

My pleasure. :)

Seriously, I have found that slow in fast out is as true here as anywhere else. That's the only tip I can give.

Another few laps this morning.
Slower T1, T2 improved slightly, and over a tenth quicker at the line.

31.979
53.809

Edit:
Using A.R.S.E tune

Board updated.

Let's keep stuff friendly and efficient guys. We're here to have fun, drive and learn not to stand on each other's toes 👍

Hi, although I can not compety officialy yet, because mine qualifier hasn't been approved YET since I sended it yesterday so I will have to wait a few days.

I did give it a try:
T1: 31.900
T2: 53.822

I did use TLD tune, with a little twist. Using a Sixaxis btw. :)
