Finally some new splits after yesterdays session (650+ km so far ^^)

19.883
22.479
26.888

.4 at the line after realising LSD is not helpful to me. :D
saw low .8 T1 and overall good lap this time, in your face my Optimal :D not so fast on me this week :P

New tune:
EDK Tune
BB +2 (2 toward rear)
RH 4.13/6.38 (Min front, 50% rear)
Springs 1.5/1.5 (Stock)
ARB 7/7
Dampers - All Stock. Any changes I made seemed to make it worse
Camber 1.0/2.5
Toe 0/0.05 Out in rear

LSD 5/12/5

This is directionally what I guided to, although the lower LSD accel helps make it less taily.

I improved on my total lap, splits got a little worse. Did not grab them, but will post again this weekend when I improve further.

Gained .25 at line. For some reason I like the higher lsd numbers......... A little to loose can gain another .5 if I can get car tightened up.

20.320
23.170
27.456

Late night run, improved a bit at the line. Getting closer to my limit

Found a way by lining up closest to the cones and creating a diamond to get maximum speed at the line. I got up to 67-68 mph at the start line.

19.417
22.302
26.808

Edit: Also I changed to Icemans Tune and BB 2 is the only thing I changed.

I did do a few laps yesterday as promised.
I didn't manage a single bloody clean lap! After 3x3 lap runs! Gotta remove that stupid bloody brake mod off the t3pa pedals. Doesn't work for me at all. It's like it decides randomly how much pressure I'm applying. (I know it's me!) When I stamp on the brake I expect a perfect imprint of my face in the steering wheel every time, not just when Pluto is in alignment with Uranus.
I know not to expect immediate improvement but I expect to stop at approximately the right time.

Don't wait up, I may be some time!

Changed to @Eggstor’s setup this morning & consistently beat my previous best, just needs a little more tweaking to stop the tail kicking out under acceleration.
Had to go to work before I got a chance to check my replay, so will submit new times once I’m certain the lap is clean :D

Will be giving Icemans tune a go tonight, others seem to be improving using this

Updated my signature but I still have no wheel icon in the leaderboard stats

Sorry for my absence, but my internet went down on 23rd.. and being Xmas, the engineer`s first available visit was the 29th.. so just back on line..

Glad to read I'm not the only one that finds the brake mod ****. I threw it out during week 4, after discovering that breaking is a major problem (amongst others, mind you). I noticed immedeate improvements in driveability and laptimes. My theory to it is this: Yes, I loved the "close" to real life FEELING of the brake, but in a real car the brake intensity works on hydraulic pressure, not potentionmeter or hallsensor travel, plus you get feedback about how hard you are applying the brake over the gforces involved. Your average home racing rig does not provide you with any feedback of that kind, so IMHO the only way to actually modulate the brake properly is over pedal travel, not pressure as the mod is trying to achieve. Hope this makes any sense, and it's just my opinion of course.

All that said I better get going with this combo. Only did 2 or 3 laps when it was published, sucked big time, and been busy online racing since :P. Time to get some times on the board! Wish me luck .
Thanks to all that shared tunes and setups so far . Will run stock for now to my best ability, and then experiment with those.

I bought a set of these, and how I set them on GT6 is entirely different from GT Sport.

Main thing is that both the brake and throttle are NOT linear on this game, and ultimately I need to be able to get to full brake pressure sooner.

Pretty happy about my splits now

20.082
22.735
27.300

Learning a lot from the low powered cars. When (not) to shift makes a huge difference!

Oh my word Kevin!!! That set looks mental!!! 👍👍👍. Is the abs vibration feedback supported by sport? That is a feature I would really like to have on my pedals (The 3 pedal version that comes with the T300 GT Version, which I really liked until a moment ago )

Unfortunately the vibration is not supported on console, AFIK.

But load cells rock. 👍

I have exactly the same problem! If I understand correctly, the fanatec pedals only work on the console with a fanatec wheel. I'm praying my TRS300 will break down so I'll have a good excuse to make a change.:lol:

X2 on this...

I removed mine within a few days...could not find my braking points, very inconsistent braking.

I removed the conical brake part, kept the metal post that the conical brake mod attaches to and experimented with different pieces of foam padding I could find around the house. I ended up going with two different pieces of foam to give a bit more resistance along all of the pedal travel.

A layer of more dense foam 3/4” attached to the brake mod post then another layer of less dense/very soft foam 1” to fill in the rest of the gap to the actual brake pedal. Used some heavy duty rubber bands to keep everything in place.

Working for me so far at two weeks now.

A group out of the U.K. is developing (ready sometime in early 2018) a modified conical brake with different rubber to allow more movement with some resistance. BBJ SimRacing...they already have one for the pro pedals.

Ideas like that have crossed my mind.... I also kept the metal part in for now and was thinkin' along the lines of finding and fitting an additional (progressive) spring. But for now I decided to work with what I have, my problem at the moment with this combo are extremely poor lines, I basically still need a GPS to not get lost, can't blame any brake pedal....

20.168
22.967
27.286

Thank you to all of the people who shared their set-ups...👍 I tried each one individually and ended up with a mashup of all of them along with a line change in the sector that I was struggling with. It took awhile to quit downshifting to second thinking it made me quicker and just stay in third gear...no more time this weekend so this will be it for me:

19.795
22.562
26.989

 and Happy New Year to Everyone!

Thanks once again to @EDK and his new tune - a full second of my previous best lap time and finally broken that magical 20s barrier in T1!

19.965
23.141
27.372

Congrats, you have been the one I keep just getting ahead of when I improve, I have set my goal to beat you this week but now I need to find another .5, that is if you do not improve.

Thanks mate 👍

To be honest, I don’t really know how I managed to pull that out. Just one of them laps where everything clicks. It was .2 faster than my optimal at the time. Then couldn’t get within .5 of it for the next 5 laps...

Good luck! I’ll keep me eye out for you
