Seems like I am definately improving the more time I spend with the car. Managed to shave a second off.


Edit: Scratch those splits, forgot to change to S1 tires :ouch:

Getting whooped by D4 :lol:

Guess thats what an extra 30-40 BHP gains D4 over D1 ;)

Finally, some better legitimate splits:

Had to dig really deep for that one.
 
Thanks guys, the extra HP certainly helps, as does spending a lot of time on the combo, at least twice as much as other WRS's to date. It's amazing how seat time can shave of those odd tenths. Also, the ability to post times which are competitive with everyone and not just my division (which doesn't always have a great turnout, see week 50) is a huge motivational factor. I do enjoy these handicap events, however I am under no illusions whatsoever as to who the faster drivers on here are :lol:

Well much to my surprise I was doing pretty well. It has been ages since I've participated in the WRS and this is my first week actually competing in GT5P. I thought I was doing well until I noticed the "Professional" physics setting on the Luxy board. I actually thought I was doing well! After 15 laps on Pro settings though times have dropped considerably. It's good to be back.

Glad to see you running the show EDK. My how times have changed.

I get some splits up after dropping T2 times.

Week 132 in the Mini, that was a great one. :D
 
I came really close on week 132 to getting dq'd but after playing around in photo mode for about an hour I got the angle I needed to pick up my shadow over the curb! That was an awesome combo. This one requires so much more flow and throttle control. Good combo, although I don't like getting beat up on by d3 and d4 guys! But what can I say, they are fast
 
I don't know what's the problem but I can't open the board of WRS 51. When I click on Board Updated, it opens the WRS unofficial board. Can someone explane why :lol:

And by the way, I'm just sneaking but I'd like to participate in this one too, but my PS3 is now in my mother's hand and I can't touch it :ouch:

Yeah, some of these equaliser weeks between divisions have really played well to us in D2 on a number of occasions, it's good everyone is getting some time in the limelight, liking that D4 is getting the attention this week.👍 I need to carry that tenth in T1 through the final sectors to get towards the top of D2 this week.:ouch:
 
Just to put everyone's mind at ease, I confirmed tire selection with the top D4 drivers, and they are indeed running S1's. 👍

Can I get a temporary demotion to Div 4? I tried the Focus last night and it is much more fun than the Mini. Why have you foresaken us Div 2 brethren? :lol:

For the sake of preserving the combo. ;)

You have no idea how tough it is to find 4 cars that will replicate the division spreads. I think this is as close as we're going to get.

Man you are up early today!

I ran quite a few laps last night and got within a few hundredths of my best time but saw no .6 T1's and just a few .1 T2's - I'm gonna rest on this one a bit and try again later. I can't wait to see some of the replays that are under 41 at T2 in the Mini - I just can't figure this one out.
 
I tried the Citroen C4 for a few laps and was just a couple of tenth slower than in the Mini. I can easily see myself going quicker in it than in the Div 2 car
 
Not loving the Golf at all, and my splits clearly show it :yuck:

T1: 22.864
T2: 41.430

And I'm not expecting much improvement on that. Had to work very hard just to get these splits. :indiff:
 
After having a break from this for a few days tomorrow I'm going to take the Mini by the horns and show it who's boss :lol: I'm determined to get a 22.5 for T1, hopefully carry it through and get a better T2 and finish off at the line faster. It's nice to dream but I will try :D

Didn't do my best sectortimes on this lap, but it was the fastest at the line :).

AH HA! Are you saying the car performs better when you lay on the horn around the first corner? Where's the button for the horn on the G25? :lol:

Would make for an interesting round to let the driver select the car for his Div or the Div ahead of him .... I might give the C4 a go tonight.
