After just starting this TT I don't have much time to put into it. here is the first time I have to offer.

21.208
36.508

I have sen some lower 36.xxx, not quite a 35.xxx yet. I have dipped a few times into 20.xxx also, but just can't manage to put it all together. If I could put it all together it would be a blazing fast time, not quite Alien, just Pseudo UFO :-).

New splits:

20.892
36.125

And a tenth at the line.

Dont think il go much faster in T1. Should manage to shave off a bit in T2 didnt really nail that graham hill bend in this lap. Did get infront of my ghost after this coming into the 3rd sector but messed up the last turn! The pressure really does get to you when you see those blue numbers!!

Thanks to pilmat for the tips have been much more consistent through that corner since!!

First crack at this using Chris's tune, I will try others this afternoon.

21.100
36.217

Thanks for posting the tune's and tips everyone.

20.799
35.849

EDIT: Did a lap 0.06 faster, but I went a tad wide in T2.

And I'm dropping like a stone down the order ...

I'm pretty tapped out for speed on this one. My skill set isn't high enough to get any more from the @doodlemonoply tune, and my understeery wheelbarrow (it does only have one front wheel, right ?!?) is close to its max. No complaints though, I'll take a FF on a tight track any day :D

And, YES @Animera, chasing the ghost is easy, staying in front of the bugger is another thing!!

I'm not really a car tuner.. but this set up works for me.. I find plenty of grip.. and I can get the nose to go where I want.. with careful driving.. the under-steer.. is minimal.. it seems to suit my style of driving.. and has given my fastest laps.. to date.. if you want to try something different.. have a go with these settings.. may take a few laps.. to understand the way it handles..

Question about your tune:
The gearbox is the same regardless of tune - why is it that your tune offer more 'room' between 3rd and 4th gear aswell as faster acceleration? No I am not imagining this, it actually is this way. 👍

I tried Andrew's tune @doodlemonoply and struggled to keep the back end from sliding out in first turn in T2. Feels like a completely different car, is this still a FF car ? I am not sure that I can master this tune though, probably need a better pilot behind the wheel, at this time I go faster with Chris' tune.

Got my lap! I don't realistically expect to get the 8 thousandths I'm missing so I'll pull this and submit now that maintenance is done.

About 0.08 at the line, with Andrew's tune (I think).

21.050
36.300

Great splits, Al and Joe 👍

When you enter a new tune on a different sheet, you have to re-install every part (including transmission!).

Done on same sheet. That's why it boggles me.

EDITI was using the wrong gearbox :embarrassed:
my times on the board were not made using Ollies tune, thankfully :D

I have quite an understanding of how well I can drive and of my potential of improvement. Which is why I decided to look closely into how I was performing so poorly this week. And what do you know? Instead of a "6-speed transmission", I fitted a "Fully customisable" bit. And well..

T1: 21.098
T2: 36.098

What does this prove beside me being a negligent drinker? That I'm quite bad at tuning a vehicle's transmission. GT6's tuning concept eludes me.
