And what do you know? Instead of a "6-speed transmission", I fitted a "Fully customisable" bit.
You're not the only one who did that, but at least you noticed. Others may not have and are still using the FC transmission.

Thanks dude. That's probably it for me, my third sector is pretty decent, I'm close enough to my ideal lap.

Neither am I - I don't understand how I'm going so fast, but I submitted the other day and haven't changed anything since but have gone faster so I'm doing everything right.

Question about your tune:
The gearbox is the same regardless of tune - why is it that your tune offer more 'room' between 3rd and 4th gear aswell as faster acceleration? No I am not imagining this, it actually is this way. 👍


To tell the truth I have no idea.. :).. but may be due to the LSD settings..

I had about an hours doing this last night.. with all the same settings.. I was between .2xx - .4xx.. down at all sectors.. & yet I saw blue S1 & 2.. by .2xx- .3xx the day before.. I also noticed the car was around 2 MPH slower at most points even flat out down the straight.. I'm baffled

In my case I found the reason - I was running with standard gearbox. :D - I still like your tune best, so I am keeping it :lol:

@Gravitron Or other Mod: The OP says that 6-speed transmission is ALLOWED - does that mean STANDARD transmission is prohibited?

So I had the problem during my last session that my saved ghosts didn't appear in the ghost list, and when I went to the home screen to see if they were in the gallery, my ps3 froze. My ghost from that session had indeed not been saved, so I had to go back to my best ghost from my first session. At first I was struggling to better my ghost since I just couldn't get the car to turn in properly.

After some more laps I found a better line trough the last sector, and managed to get some decent first sectors (still most of my tries I understeer out of turn 1). The problem was I couldn't keep the left rear wheel over the curb coming out of turn 3, but put 3 wheels on the green concrete.

Just a while ago I managed a really fast turn 1 (by my standards) to get a big lead over my ghost, and managed a nice last sector to suddenly get over 0.5s at the line. It was just a golden lap out of nowhere. Although I knew I again went dangerously wide out of turn 3, and had to check the replay. The replay angles for that turn aren't that good so I had to go into photo mode. I rewinded and paused many times, but luckily the tire sidewall was slightly inside the red-white curb every time.

I was surprised with my sudden performance. I don't know if I will be able to do a faster lap.

Goof up Diaries part II. -

It suddenly struck me that I'd used the Focus for some League races a while back and quite possibly, I didn't start out stock. And voila. I have a front bumper fitted on and have been driving with it ever since. So technically speaking, all my splits thus far are invalid. Don't be cross Fetchy, here's the best I can do for today ( Quoting Jack Daniels : " Everyday we make it, we'll make it the best we can ")

T1: 21.034
T2: 36.034
 
Contrary to what I was thinking, I might well be able to improve. I did some more laps and was able to quite consistently match my 1st sector (+/- a couple of hundredths) and also gaining a couple of hundredths in the 2nd sector, trough the quick left-right part. However all of those laps were shot down by me getting cocky into the last turn, running slightly wider than optimal and losing time, or losing the drag race to the finish line. I'm still not sure exactly which line is the fastest out of last turn and through the sweeping pit "straight".
