After a 15 lap run this afternoon, I almost gave this up for the week as I just couldn't find any time. Then, I figured I'd give brake bias 5/5 a go (hey, if some of the top guys are using it, there must be something to it right?) and, wow, what a difference a brake bias adjustment does make. I'm not sure I understand how going from 7/6 to 5/5 can result in shorter braking distances but I'm not too concerned by that.

So, 17 laps later, I managed to set 9 laps quicker than my previous best before today, set new PB's in every sector and shave half a second off my overall lap time....pretty good for 17 laps! I have also managed to shave 8 tenths off my previous best S2 split which was so shocking that I messed up the chicane....DOH! Anyway, now looking forward to finding more time with this and better ways to take the corners. I am, optimistically, thinking a 67.0 S2 split is entirely possible, though my 2 PB's combined is a .3 so maybe not, we shall see:

S1: 40.595
S2: 1:07.495

Your guys' avatars keep making me thing someone triple posted

I'll be doing some more laps on this one today, I got a little improvement the other day with 4/6 BB *shrug* I think I'll try 6/8 and see if I can shrink the brake zones some more, but I think it's when/how I start to release the brake that deals the most damage against my ghost line.

I don't use abs, and they lock up around 6-7 range. The distance probably isn't going to shorten with higher values than that with abs.

Hehe :P

One thing I can think of is 'placebo' - you think it works so it works :P
The other thing I can think of is that the CAR is sensitive to anything, it actually doesn't NEED a high braking balance.

My best lap was set using AT and Praiano's BB for the Yellowbird - 0/2 :odd:

I have tried to repeat that lap, with higher BB and using MT, and I cannot...

I don't know why, but i can't seem to get motivated to run these past 2-3 weeks. I put down solid times in the focus and rocket but never submit because i never could get into it. Same thing this week.. i ran a couple of laps Sunday and just put the controller down even though i was making good progress. Someone knock some sense into me.. i am missing out on good events for no reason.

Brandon, pin your lugs back.

Your motivation is in your signature.

Now get back on track and spank our a#%+s, give those other Bazingaists something to be proud of.

I second that, now that I know what LUG is :D

@Serialf : The key to getting a good time on this one is to be gentle. I use TCS 1 and when I first drove it this week (having never used a RUF in game before), I thought it was going to be impossible but, while I'm certainly slower than a lot of people, I do find it fairly easy to control. Of course, controlling it over the course of a lap is a whole different matter :banghead: but it is certainly possible

Thanks for your input, @nursemorph 👍; next friday I will get back home and start again - havent tried TCS 1 and didnt touch bb.
For now I am having fun just reading this forum and The Adventures of Morph's Muppets :)

LoL don't know if I'm making them proud but the braking on this game is weird on a ds3 and i get frustrated. Its hard to be consistent. But thanks for the words of encouragement. 👍

Time trialling at the end of a day really is a great way to get the busy-ness of work out of the mind for a while, it's almost meditative to punch out a few laps, if only I had the time to do it every day!

It looks like the main place I need to gain some time is in T1, I seem to have something wrong happening in there

Hopefully I'll get a chance to have another crack but I can feel the weight of my marking needing attention :indiff:
