Vroom! 2008 VE SS

VEss_m_m-420x0.jpg

Not an actual piccy of mine (don't have a camera, 'cept in my phone), but it's the right colour.

Phantom black is the best, My bro's Monaro is phantom black and so is my Senator!

2007 Toyota 4Runner V8 Sport Edition.

It's a 4.7l Iron Block V8 - one of the smoothest and most reliable engines Toyota has ever developed. 270hp and 306ft-lb of torque. I get 0-60 in about 6.8 seconds.

Its a tank and with 32" AT tires - 14" of snow is a non-issue.

Haha great pic. In fluffy snow. I've cruised with ease through 2 feet of it. This summer I would like to get a coil-over suspension lift and upgraded UCA's

I forgot to say that's a nice SUV, I've been in one before.

Thanks man. It's built like a brick house. Fully boxed steel ladder frame and nearly identical drivetrain to that of the land cruiser which is one of the most over engineered SUV's on the road.

My mom has an 04 land cruiser which I hope to inherit in the near future. 120k on the clock and it runs like new.

Looks like a 330 cab.

sanchez69er the 5 looks mint, Though I've always thought your power plant Is way under powered.

Most beemer engines are. a 2.8 litre straight 6 that is only 200hp..A 1.8 VTEC integra type R is only like 13 behind..

And that is???

'08 E93 328i.... and pk_090 the 323i is 200hp... 328i uses the N52 engine producing 230hp... but still if your point is that they're slow I still agree... my cab weighs close to 4000lbs...

Bit of an unfair comparison there. You are comparing one manufacturers mid range engine to anothers performance engine.

A BMW performance engine from around the same time would be the one from the E46 M3 which was 3.2L and produced around 340bhp.

Bmw engines are all different you can tell most engine size's buy the numbering on the back for example my is a 520 and has a 2.2 engine you would of thought it would be a 2ltr by the 20 but most 20s are 2ltr. My last car was a 323 but was a 2.5 depends on which model but most of the last 2 numbers tell you what the engine size is.

Yes your right its not the fastest car but im all about cruising in style and comfort nowadays. I drive 3 hours a day with work so need the comfort. Its still pretty fast for a big car can get 60mph in second REDLININGit.She's my new baby a bit like my ex like's the finer things in life like champange-petrol,new nails-low profile tyre's,fancy hair cut-full service and the list go's on but if I had a choice BMW or Lady UMMMMMMM?????????????????/:sly:

I wouldn't mind giving that one a spin. 👍

Next time im in amsterdam ill give you a shout mate:)

Totally agree with you on the comfort front & IMO the best looking 5 ever made.
I had a (02) 530 sport diesel & loved It.
I used to work for BMW before moving to Merc so I've seen a hell of a lot of them & may I just say going on your pictures Yours looks a very tidy example.

Here is my car with both sets of wheels (summertime and wintertime)

250.000km and going strong

Talking about Audi, couldn´t resist to show my ride:

Nice ride you got there dude. I only got a mitsubishi mirage 👎 . Here is my two beasts.

Edit: OMG, just saw Ren's ride, so jealous. The days of Datto 1600/510's with FJ20 Turbo's are gone due to the tighter ADR regs these days. My heart will always belong to an RX-3 Peripheral/Bridge port though. Blow an apex seal almost every month but awesome sound and beautiful cars to look at.

If you wouldn't mind commenting.. I was thinking about buying a Merc '05 cl500 or an '04 cl55. are these good choices? Do you think I would be better off with a 7 or 6 series BMW instead?

Poolhaas and Usual Suspect, those are beautiful looking Audis... Sid, I think I am too old for the kind of power you are displaying there. I feel a slight cringe in my lower back just looking at those two rockets. I do have a Triumph 900cc, but it is definitely not a track bike.

@Usual Suspect: Great looking car, I'm going to start looking for an A5 in a year or so, hopefully with the same rims.

I'm looking for a nissan skyline gtr R33 (95-96mod) in England.
The car must be completely original.
Is there anyone who can give me some advice
Ole B
