That pic is actually from last summer when I got the car, it is looking somewhat worse and better than that!! I am getting very impatient to get it on the road now though. Luck I still have GT5P with the DFGT to keep me occupied! If anyone fancies lending me their car for a while so I can keep my eye in I would be very grateful and may even let you drive the midget for 200 yards when it is ready!! hehe

I'm no expert but I'd suggest not rushing at it; it'll come together and when it does you'll be chuffed!

Yeah, I am still taking my time with everything but your arms get tired very quickly when rubbing down all the panels only to find you have to o back to bare metal to treat some rust!!! I'm pretty much there with the panels now though, just need to source some new front wings and get everything fully prepped for a respray, still not sue whether to do it myself or take it to a pro for a fll respay.. £££ matters I feel will decie ths for me!

Cellulose thinners rubbing compound and cutting in waxing/polishing is hard work and a thing of the past, this new base colour and 4 /5 coats of lacquer is good but unless your excellent at spraying this Lacquer, and have the right conditions, I would say go for the latter option, you’ll be glad you did in the end.

After spraying four cars over the years I would not undertake it anymore, but that could just be my age talking :grumpy:

waxing/polishing a thing of the past!!!! Pray tell how do I get the same finish without rubbing out all the imperfections of a previous bad paint job? I have 4 days next week of pure midget heaven, I hope I can get all the panels ready for the respray in that time and maybe start on creating a new wiring loom for the baby. Managed to get hold of a new windscreen this week too and possible some new wheels with fresh rubber as a temporary cost saving measure as they are currently cheaper than a full set of rubber! Then its just the fuel/brake lines and the engine strip down/rebuild with the new cylinder head!

Needless to say I am having untold amounts of fun with this project and things are progressing a lot quicker than I thought they would at the start of the project! I'll keep you all posted on my progress and hopefully when she is on the road I will see some of you at various traks around the country/continent!

1991 Chevy Berreta GT with a few trick's up it's sleeve.
My babies gone now the economy kicked me in avocado's and still continue's to make guacamole :(.

Yeah, it's dog leg. I think one or two american vehicle sport this, and porsche, of course (probably the closest thing to a porsche my Datto has to offer LOL). Took some getting used to, luckily the car has a reverse buzzer.... Now that buzzer may seem stupid to some, but I think I would have backed into 100 cars, walls and whatever else is behind me without it cause reverse now sits where you're used to first usually, so I did appreciate that annoying little noise numerous times :lol:

Just as a "warning" to all that may have a google account: don't just delete it!
I found out the hard way: all that is linked to it gets deleted with it! Including my Youtube account! I don't understand why it's done like that, I wrote to google about it (well, no response as yet). But the team at Youtube was cool, they could at least reestablish my account, but the vids are gone....
Then again, most were rubbish anyways, but maybe this saves someone else a lot of frustration.

That said: the Hill Climb video is up again, sound-wise improved and in better visual quality

And a new one from my "home" track :-)

Mr. "Spielberg-Wanna-Be" is trying to produce fancier stuff with the new beginning :)

Knowing you a bit B I wonder if you're not just pulling my chain here completely :lol: But again, before this makes me look like a total muppet to those who might now think I only got my first PC yesterday: my whole account really got killed :grumpy: ... But thanks for embedding the vids here, not a bad idea really.

To show off I wasn't born yesterday (meaning that I, too, can embedd stuff), to further most soley spam this thread, and to treat you all with some eyecandy here another one from the hill climb. Man, that rain should have come a day earlier, if you know what I mean ;)

That is some sexy eyecandy. Especially the one on the left (not the girls) :D Would have been great if it had rained, seen those wipers in action :lol:
 
at the moment i have no car to show you due to a six year driving ban so all my driving is done on gt5 but my previous car was a 91 corsa.i have no pictures but i have newspapers articles about my 'last drive'. this involved a high speed car chase and a few crashed police cars lol add my psid its ratz2009 ill give you a good race
