Sorry to the Div II guys for missing this one. Sunday was our night to take the girls to go see Santa. I gave him an evil look. He hasnt given me what I've asked for the past couple years. :grumpy:

Wish you were there, having both Vipers would have been fun. Racing each other to break the points tie would have been great. Hope to see you back for the next race.👍

About fuel: You all should keep in mind that in Fuji you are most of the time at very high rpm. Thus, it can seem that fuel consumption is higher than normal. IT CAN ALSO BE THAT VETTES REALLY WASTE MORE GAS, OFC.

And about refueling time: If you are planning more than one pitstop, you can always split refueling. At my first pit, it recommended twenty-and-something liters, but I got only 15 (which I know finishes before tires), and then a small refueling again at next pit.

And I pitted 3 times and anyone with 2 pit stops deserves my respect (stupidstormy36, if the race had one less lap, you'd have won!)

As soon as T-n-T pitted, I made up my mind to go for it, skipping my third pit. I thought I may have had a large enough lead that I could pull it off, and I almost did. Just my luck, too. I just needed a larger gap I guess. I could've been more conservative on my tires too. But everyone was putting together better laps than me, that I was sure of.

I also had a minor collision with joe that slowed me down for a couple of laps before I pitted my first time as well.

I tried a 2 pit strategy, refuelling on the second (I only needed 15 to 20 extra litres to finish), and it almost payed off. Damn. It would have been my first win ever in a season. lol

Where good tissmo, I was acutally trying to miss you and dove to the inside. The draft pull from behind you was fierce by the end of the straight. No worries over here'

Hope to see you back next race. You & mustardaddict need to let Jav know exactly what car you will be driving for the rest of the season befor the next race. It's 2 weeks away.
Jav just posted another new person to Div2. Both CLK's are now taken, both Viper #91's, both Corvette C06 RM's, I believe both Corvette ZR1 RM's are taken. Ask Jav about the two Nissan GT-R R35 TC's. You & Sinladar are both listed as driving the Ford GT Test Car Spec II's.

Jav, u still wanna try to do the gt 500 race Xmas night that me and mags were talking about a few weeks back....I should have my new ps3 hooked up and ready to go by then...

I got my old one to work, but when I was putting it back together I needed a 3rd hand to push the tab down for the ribbon cable clip to the motherboard....so I asked my wife since she was in the same room to do it while I held the blu ray drive....of course she flipped it the wrong way and snapped it off...so I got a working ps3 with no disk drive lol 👍

I kind of hope they did, though it will be bittersweet.

The up side is then there would be tire strategy based on wear and endurance, the down side is then i would have even less grip.
 
Now you are not going to be able to race on Spa, or Kart Space, unless you've already purchased the DLC. Now, how will that affect the series? Because I don't have it. And I don't think i'm the only one.

Also, where might your Super GT race be taking place at?

but now i have passionate pink colored wheels on my ford race car!

On another note.......Theyve ruined the game imo by making the third person chase cam a goofy dynamic moving screen rather than the static one that i loved so much !

the chase cam shakes with even the slightest bump and oscillates on the curbs. not what i was looking for

Game changer! Im hearing that the tire wear for race softs has been reduced by 50%! so we would have only been able to do 7 laps on race softs at Fuji. Woww!

now im so happy im getting new pedals. going to need to be alot more careful on the brakes and throttle. dfgt has been teaching me bad form....

50% ? Every tyre has been reduced. Softs barely last anymore, they are basically qualifying tyres, lasting 2 laps at La Sarthe in LMP cars. Expect GTPFIA cars to only go about 3-4. Mediums will last about 4-5 laps. Hards somewhat more than that, but you'll have zero grip anyway. Tyre wear rate has literally been halved, even more, for every tyre compound.

These are Pirelli tyres on steroids now.

Yes, and Monaco qualiying was something like qualifying for the 2005 Monaco GP.

This is just stupid! How can they be so stupid to do this!?? All they needed to do was make the harder compounds last longer not make the softs wear faster. Just stupid!
I about had enough of this stupid game.

Edit: yea this update sounds like it sucks...they shoulda kept softs the same and made mediums and hards last 2-3 laps longer each

Dead serious Pipi, we got screwd with this update. GT5 is now officially a Game made for 5 lap racers...
Tire wear was exagerated enough before, now is just a joke!
