Normally when a random person joins our series while we are practicing or preparing for a race, we kick them out, no questions asked. Also, if they are driving an X1 that usually gives it away. You gave me an opportunity to troll you guys, and I did. Use your brain(s)

No Sorry it doesnt work like that. We were racing at the Circuit De la Sarthe and it was practice/qualifying. We all needed to put in quick laps. You realize La Sarthe is 8 miles and the lap is 3.40secs. Thats not counting the out lap. it takes 7 minutes to actually put in a laptime. why should he have quit his lap to kick randoms... evrytime he was doing a lap he had to back out of the track and kik a random. And then wait another 7 mins but of course another random would join and the cycle started over again. You should have took it upon your self to just leave.

I think I need to restore the Ford's chasis or something, the car has been a handfull since Monaco, I don't recall the car being like that before at all!

Yeah i have done that around 4 races ago. I swear it hasn't been the same since.

No not the chasis reinsforcement but the overhaul, the one you do at GT Auto. I've used the reinforcement since the car was new but for the last 2 races is has just been a pain and its been getting worse by the race! The car was nearly undriveable trough the last sector in Laguna I was loosing 1 second on that sector on qualy and with worn tires it was 10x worse! I have to shift up to 5th and coast trough there! I'm doing the overhaul tonight and if it doesn't work I'll just get a new car!!
 
Also have done that. When i get the chance ill rebuy the bmw to see the difference.

Anyone set any times yet?

I do the chassis and engine overhaul after each event. so my cars pretty much always the same :)

... on a side note... not to steal your thread jav.. but do you guys know how to tell what my computer is equipped with system wise? I'm getting really interested in iracing and am not real computer literate, and don't know what the specs of this thing are, so i don't know if it's capable..

Basically from what I understand a good video card and a good procesor is all you need to run the sim with all graphics settings maxed out. Tat can help you out there better than me since he's got better understanding on this stuff than I do... All I can tell you is Buy it and run it!! There's some pretty nice codes floating arround on wich you can get a month for $6 wich is great for testing it out! And the C6.R is damn awsome to drive!!! You'll love it!!

I mean't Flyin and I never got anything better than a second place (only podium actually) in the 5 races the LMES ran, so it just throws his biased performancing balancing line so far out the window its gone into orbit.

Back to normal programming, what do you expect from the GT2 drivers in terms of being lapped by GT1 cars Jav? Do we hold our line to let the GT1 car past or do what they do at the VLN races and slow down and step aside?
 
Search your computer for ATI 9700Pro, nVidia 6600, nVidia 6800 GT/GS or ATI X1600 to see if you've got one of those 4.

GT2 JUST HOLD YOUR LINE! Do not pull aside or move to let by, and please do not tuck immediately behind the GT1 car to catch a slipsteam!

You are allowed to slipstream, just be carefull when you do it. Too many times we have been ran off track by this practice, on a track this narrow and at the speeds we will be seeing this is just the safe way to ay it.

Ok, here's what I have and runs perfectly... my PC is a bit old (4-5years) but the graphic card makes all the work (bought last winter), with a new power supply of course.

• AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual @2.4
• 2gig RAM
• NVIDIA Geforce GTX460 gygabytes, you can compare here http://www.nvidia.fr/object/graphics_cards_buy_now.html sorry ATI, even though I owned for years.

I often got 200-230 fps and when there's alot of cars on track, lets say 20, i'm around 100-150 fps depends of the track, and rarely got under 100 fps. The only thing i removed is the shadow, which remove around 30 fps... and I play on a 17in monitor (1400X900) (HDMI) never tried on my 37in though...

Oh and btw, i never got disconnected while playing :cheers: and even if I choose an Australian server... shame on you PSN :banghead:

Yeah. you should get your chassis restored. when i took My Ford GT Lm Spec II to Laguna after the race last weekend i could floor it hard through the corkscrew and the 2 turns after it instead of just coasting.


Chasis restoration is pretty darn expensive. 500,000Cr

Anyone here should be able to run iRacing. It doesn't really strain anything. I've been wanting to get it for some time now but I don't have a wheel anymore.
