Last night I tested all the GT1 cars for top speed and fast track performance. OwensRacing jumped in and helped out with the test...thanks. I did this to get an indication of what to expect on fast tracks like LeMans and Monza. The differences are quite shocking, 6.5 seconds separate the fastest and slowest cars in a single 45 sec lap.

Unfourtunately this is a reality of this series and GT5 in general, we lack the parity and equality the Super GT and NASCAR cars have, some of the differences in performance are quite stagering I try and make this as close as possible but at the end of the day there will be differences. Thankfully the only tracks where this will be a real problem LaSarthe and maybe Daytona and we have plenty of tracks in the calendar that counter this advantage. Monza is not much of a problem due to the Slipstream effect. Maybe for season 3 we will have a reevaluation on track selection.
Believe me guys I try to make the racing as close as possible, there is gonna be extremes and if we want those tracks in the championship we are gonna have to live with it.

Same here. 2 reasons IMO:

1. No slipstream in quali
2. Quali is a handful of laps. In the race we run dozens of laps and get a higher chance of getting a perfect lap in.

also......In qualifying you only get a handful of laps.....but in the race you pretty much run your fuel tank dry at some point and that makes a very very light car.which goes a bit quicker..

I guess I should also mention that since my comp crapped out on me 3 weeks ago all I have to use is my Droid and the gtp app...with no access to all the expressions...now let's not make 2 pages on this thread about the same thing ...

1. Jav is the host, so add him ( his PSN ID is shown in his posts)
2. Attend practice sessions/rooms, don't push people off the track, and if you get a good reputation, you will be asked to fill in when people can't make it. Never hurts to be online 2-3 hours before the event goes down on sunday either.

N.B. on point 2: That's how I got started in season 1 anyways....

I love the responses on here to what I've said before, classic really. That precious AUP is the forum rules and like it or not everyone here has to abide by it. Funny story, I haven't actually mentioned it that much here or gone off like some of you are trying to make it out like I have....I just don't see why I should find it fair that I make an effort to follow the forum rules whilst others can't (especially grammar and spelling, you speak english so by theory you should be masters at it). Can someone explain this to me? If not well Ill jsut b lyke the uvers and giv the PUA da flik.
