Seriously though...why is everyone that's signs up recently picking the vette rm?? You should all know that there is a 2 car limit per race....maybe 3 tops....so get used to other cars also..especially if u r a reserve

I know race pace its different then quali pace, but how much faster are you in quali?

I had to leave before the leguna race, work at 6am sucks.. Lol

I know lucky in the R8 and I were matches for speed at Tokyo, but this times are off my best quali time by a decent amount.

I set something a second or so quicker when we were practicing earlier on. Couldn't replicate it when we were qualifying for though.

I might be absent this weekend. I've got an aptitude test to attend for a job next monday and I have to be up early for it, so chances are i'm going to miss round 1. :-(

Smokedog the reason i chose the RM ZR1 was because the only other cars in have in the GT2 class is the Audi R8 LMS and BMW M3 GTR and i prefer the ZR1 to them.
I guess if i wanted to add another car just incase i wanted to change i would chose the R8.
Anyway i hope i can race this weekend being a reserve (i think) if not ill just have to wait until there is.

Well, I used it last season and I'm not quite sure if I want to use another vehicle. I may change it later when I get back, or whatever. I have not played GT5 within the past 2 months and trust me, it really sucks. I would test out each car before choosing which one suits my driving technique the best. I made the mistake by choosing the Stang in the GT3 series that Tier hosts and not testing it out before the season started. I still did a good job with it, mind you. I don't aim to make the same mistake again.

I understand man, I'm just reminding people...there are Already 2 regulars that are running the r8 and the zr1 and there are at least another 2 each on the reserve list...so u might want to at least get good with a 2nd car...

This league is very very compititive, and if there is one thing we don't like its people bailing mid race....cough Mitch cough

Depending on the competition, I'll do one or two laps close/matching to my quali time but generally slow down to save tires and gain consistency ( pushing 100% for an hour+ its bound to make a critical error).

I completely agree. It is possible to run faster laps with the draft but 1 mistake can take out two good cars. Consistency is key, smooth is fast and consistently smooth wins races.

Same here. 2 reasons IMO:

1. No slipstream in quali
2. Quali is a handful of laps. In the race we run dozens of laps and get a higher chance of getting a perfect lap in.
