Hello gents! I'm currently taking some photos. A couple penalties are coming down for non-compliant cars, and I'm testing at GVE later this week.

However, I may be called into work Saturday evening, so I might require someone else to run the lobby and then send me the replay.

Chris

EDIT: Been lazy on the photos, still have to export them to my computer. Will do that this afternoon.

For now I have the penalties:

CTSCC Penalties:
Improper Procedures:
RetroCRX: Improper Rear Aero (Gurney) Per Regulations 3-1, 3-2 and 9-6 Chevrolet Camaro SVR

Judgement:
Section 3-6 states “Automobiles that do not meet the exact model defined in the Specific Vehicle Regulations section, with the exact modifications (no more, no less) listed therein are illegal and may not enter an official Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge event.”
RetroCRX started and completed the race with an illegal car and has been disqualified. His points will be removed from each championship.
Luckylefty2guns dropped and will lose five points for both infractions.
Chevrolet will not be penalized negative points for lucky’s infractions. They will lose the points earned by Retro.

Just wanted to note that I was DQ'd because I had the stock spoiler and not the aftermarket part that the rules call out. There was no performance gain by my mistake, and in fact maybe a potential loss.

Explanation is: I didn't catch the addition that Chris had made to the rules to use this spoiler on the Camaro after I had already built my car pre-testing and hadn't used it since.

Fair cop though.....the car did not comply, I agree.....even if I think the penalty was harsh.....

Life goes on......see you next race with a FULLY COMPLIANT car.....

Rob

Changes for the Mini and Civic. Still evaluating a change to the VW.

And yes, I should have mentioned that, Rob. My bad, man.

Chris

surely the mini is fine the Civic is just too slow in the straight and the VW is as quick as the mini

i can prove the VW is as quick as the mini if you want.?

You better get those adjustments posted soon if you expect them to be used in tomorrow night's race to make sure people have time to test the changes.

I'm just say'in.....

my thoughts exactly Retro if i need to change my mini id like to know in advance! :sly:

Hey boys, been worked like a dog this week and that doesn't end tonight. I won't make it to the race, and I haven't finished the BoP, so that will come next week.

@Rob: I'm e-mailing you right now about how to host. (If anyone wants to replace Rob as host, he'll be more than happy.)

Chris

I will not be at the race, as I'll most likely be going to a race at the local dirt track.

oh ok no prob chris retro will be a great host 👍

This is getting a little all over the place. Jonerz isnt gonna be able to host, which is fine by me, but where are the changes that were promised? Something about the Civic. Also, my car is broken in and is at 466HP(reg. says 460HP). Im sure other people will be as well with broken in cars, so Retro has do to a HP check before the qualifying starts for all. If not, then im keeping my car as it is!

I would guess that you should reduce your power to meet regulations.

What if other people dont? There are other BMW's out there. Like I said, there should be a HP/PP check before we start qualifying. Im not reducing my power if others dont as well.

Well,

I have kept knocking back the HP of my Camaro as it breaks in and I expect everyone else to do likewise. If you can show me how to check then I'll do it but I expect everyone to be honest and run to the rules.

As for hosting the race I'll do my best, but I'm pretty green with this online stuff.......I've only done 4 online races and never hosted so if any of you more experienced guys want to help out I'm more than happy for the help.

I'll try and get the lobby up at 7:30 for practice.

My power limiter is set to 99.1%, putting me within regulations.

and yeah i have to limit my mini pretty much just to go down to 226bhp....

I'm done with this. I'm not going to waste two hours a week just to get run over on lap 1 and get blown away on the straights by Minis.

just watching the replay and lap 15 you wrecked me without regard for the leader you need to be more careful around other cars

Dude, Paul achieved a 1.11 as well with a Civic, so your point doesnt make sense. The Civic may be slower on straights, but faster on turns. Look I just got beaten by the Camaros, and Im not saying that they r better cars! Learn by racing with people that are better with you(I do the same as well.)

i did try saying this if i had a clone im sure the civic would have kept up as when i passed cami he stayed with me in my slipstreame so if you can have done the times i could do with the civic when i did a test here 11.9s youd have been able to fight me.

also as i said this is a track i use for my testing in other series as its a track i love its just like BTCC at Brands GP last weekend Platos Cruze was sooo much faster than anything else because 1. Plato loved the track and could get every single bit of time from it. 2. RML knew how to setup the car for it with their WTCC knoledge so the car was perfect. 3. It was a track that was perfectly suited to the Chevy Cruzes.

next round is silverstone was is a Turbo track so chevys will be nowhere.......

Also out of interest who ran you over lap 1 Cami or Buzz?

I do know, but would prefer to keep it to myself.

Very lucky for you. If you didn't notice, I was giving you the entire left half of the track. You didn't have to run up my bumper until the last possible second and hope I'd get out of the way, especially since I had damage from another GS hitting me the lap before.

Those saying I have nothing to complain about, Paul did run a 1:11 in the Civic, but he was still half a second off the Mini. So even if I get a good setup, drive balls out for 60 laps and don't make a mistake, I have to rely on the draft to have a shot. If I pass him, I'll just get blown past on the next straight unless he pushes me (which is too risky with heavy damage). The Civic does corner slightly better, but from my experience it barely helps. (Note - I did not run Tsukuba at all.)

I've raced with Paul in two other series, in both we were about even, perhaps he was slightly faster than me, but there's no way the 4 seconds at Daytona and at least half of the second at GVE was pure difference in driver skill.

I did make an adjustment to LSD for the race, I was too busy getting run over every other lap to test it, but I'm willing to give some of the time lost to my setup.

Cheers! ~Lancer
