I'm not trying to bust anybody's chops or claim to have any real life experience but it is what it is in the game. The Mustang is probably gonna have a slight advantage at the start of each stint but I can almost garauntee it will be short lived 'cause of the tire wear. Nothing We've done has cured that. And I have my LSD and suspension set up to be loose as a goose to help that but it's no good for consistency for sure. I'd say that by the 6th or 7th lap the front tires start to get bad enough to deteriorate performance substantially. Yes you have the right to worry but I seriously think it's still gonna be a challenge for us Mustang guy's. Like I said the only major change was the tranny and in testing with just that it was actually slower. We needed the extra rpm of the exhaust to make it work (sounds like crap now) and the extra ballast to help handling a little and the extra power to offset that.

Yupp.

I will take the VW GTI. Very nice series you've got brewing here. Sassafrass_3 (Sassafrass_3)

Welcome aboard! Thanks for the compliment and adding the spice of variety!

Chris

Yeah I thought I'd be different and go with the VW. Hopefully it works out. I just found out about this series today so not alot of testing time.

Yupp, sure is. If anyone wants to hop into my lounge I'm testing right now.

Chris

AARRGGHH I'm at work and look like being here late too! Damn I want some seat time before tomorrow's race!

I'm going the real racetrack (Mosport) tomorrow so it's looking like i'll have to fine tune everything in the practice and quali for our actual race tomorrow!

Rob

Very cool. Tell me how that goes, man. Also, if there is a Mini driver who can come test in my lounge right now, I'd really appreciate it.

Chris

EDIT: What do we all think about me hosting the race in my lounge?

EDIT 2: Here are the changes before Daytona. I'm holding firm on the ST changes at the moment, but there is very likely one coming after Daytona. So bare with me ST class. I am off to update the car specifications section of our regulations right now, but you lads might as well see it here first.

Well, it is - I suppose. Of course, ballast in this series is used to bring the cars to their weights as posted in the specific vehicle regulations thread.

Right, so to avoid an unfair advantage for weight distribution.

Oh right, I totally misunderstood. Yeah, that sounds fair, however that could have a negative effect on handling, and for the Mustang's sake it needs to have the ballast moved all the way to the rear for it to be competitive.

I agree with this tire setup. It just might make the car worse.

Just making sure that the 2 pitstop rule is In affect?
Does this...

and this apply to ST as well or just GS?

Are any of the M3 guys feel like you are loosing a lil time coming on or during the ovals? Cuz I seem to be loosing a lil time in middle of the ovals. I know the mustangs are flying on the ovals and the str8s.

So what laptime are you Mustang guys running post adjustments?

Just curious.

I'm not going to be able to get any seat time in the M3 until the race this eve....hope I'm still on pace.

Looking forward to tonight.

Rob

Good idea, put "unless specified".

No, I tested all the cars with the ballast adjusted to provide best handling. We'll sort that rule out after Daytona.

The hard tires in the rear does help. It allows you to throttle steer better. Six in one, half dozen in the other.

Does this...

ST cars will make two pitstops as well, even though the GS cars are likely faster and will run away from us regardless, we are running in the same race so we should be subject to the same rules.

Ballast right now can be positioned in the car at the driver's discretion, however that may change after Daytona, but likely not for every car.

Different cars will perform differently.

Chris

Ok, I have just put my M3 with all the parts on the list and it got more than 460HP and less weight! Do I have to put ballast and limit power?!

Yes Nepalii almost all cars need to add weight and power limit 👍
