I had some extra time this afternoon, so I am online practicing now. Feel free to add me as a friend (GTP_Overheating) and head on over to my Lounge.

So let me get this straight. It is the Sport exhaust (not Racing) and no racing Exhaust manifold? that's gonna drop redline back down from the 6800rpm down to like an extra 100 rpm over what we had before. But if that's what you want, OK. And do we have to use hard tires in the rear?

Yupp. You do get more RPM then stock though.

Good race. Congrats to Retro or whoever didn't get disconnected.

Many thanks to the Mini driver who ran me over at the chicane on lap 1 as if they weren't going to dominate me through NASCAR 3 and 4 anyhow.

Well, then. Unless all of the following is implemented, I am leaving the series.

-Rolling starts. That was the least organized start I have ever been a part of.
-Better enforced pit windows (Paul pit on lap 8 when it was clearly stated that pit window opened on lap 9.), or get rid of pit windows and institute a simple "1 mandatory stop per race" like what I do.
-light damage (though, that kind of went with the whole standing start BS).
-rejektedS15 stops ramming everybody

Thbis has the potential to be a great series with all the drivers in it, but the organization is just awful.

MULE, unfortunately I think the DRIVERS need to read the damn rules. Daytona was a pain in the ass, and season two will feature MAJOR changes to Daytona. The rest of the season will be fine if drivers pick up their end. If I say so myself, organization is NOT a problem.

@lucky - no mandatory pit stops outside Daytona I don't think. MAYBE Indy.

Chris

EDIT: Results aren't final, so don't complain about not enforcing rules or penalizing bad driving until penalties have been handed out.

let's get rid of those pit windows keep the two stops but get rid of windows:tup:

heavy damage is no problem if people are clean drivers

Some people had trouble being clean, though. Put on light damage until we all get used to racing with each other, then put heavy back on.

That seems a sensible idea.

I still say keep heavy damage on. If you can't learn to either not hit someone, or stay away from someone that looks suspect, then you simply have to pit for repair and keep going. In the long run the clean drivers will shine.

I basically pit 3 times, once for damage and twice for the regulate pits. It cost time, but I still ended up on the podium.

im going to PM you some of my ideas to help organize the series and hopefuly make it better.

I think I might replace Monza and Indy on account of their high speed natures. Things may change (and will hopefully change FAST, drivers) but right now I think there is a dangerously low standard of selfish driving going on right now.

Final results won't be out till Monday because of the need I have to watch the replay at least three times.

Well I'm going to tell you right now I pitted out of the window. I had major damage on lap 2 so I pitted. Second stop was on lap 20 and I carried a load of front end damage from my encounter witt Sass at the first corner for about 10 laps, still managing to run 1:54s to 1:56s. After lap 20 it was flat out with consistent mid to high 1:53s with what I hope was minimal issues with anyone else.

I had the most issues where I was always seeming to catch ST traffic at the entry to 1 and the car is so nervous there you need to pick a trajectory and stick to it....if the ST car moves you are up Poop creek.

Anyway, I didn't see too terribly much wrong with that race except the start. Why do quali if it doesn't seem to apply? I started last I think?

Besides that I spent most of the race alone.

I agree that some people need to be more aware, but there's absolutely no reason not to have rolling starts in a multi-class race. I maintain that that was the single worst start to an organized race ever.

I pit once for damage and twice for the pit windows....does this mean I pit too many times?

Yeah, rolling starts will be instituted next race. That was a poor decision not to have them. That will fix two problems this race had outside of the miserable driving standard. Starting order, and hopefully, if drivers wake up and aren't so banzai, the rolling starts will hopefully separate drivers and the classes better.

@OVERHEATING: You did it correctly, mate.

Chris

As if I wasn't DQ'd before, I also pit outside the window many times so I didn't become an obstruction, even though that plan failed. Also I banzai'd Sach on that first hairpin thing.

im sure he said you can pit on end of 8 which is going onto 9? (what i did) till end of 12 because he wrote the message when we were all on lap 8 that the pit window was open at the end of the lap (8) i pitted as early as i could as i had major damage after T1 when i started 1st for some bizzar reason and Lefty hit me and then turning into the chicane i never seen anything coming just turned missed first apex then got clattered in the rear by someone dunno who, whoever it was was clearly behind me so shouldnt of tryed to pass in what basicaly a 1 line corner, pitching me into the wall subsquently damaging my front left aswell so drove my best with the damage i had (both left wheels damaged) and managed to hold on to mule then as soon as i pitted i got clear of mule. On lap 12 i got my nose chopped by Retro causing front right damage amazingly it didnt affect me too much and i was still able to maintain/increase the gap infront of mule pitted lap 21 and it was trouble free until lap 27-28 where Lancer seemed to weave around to block me from lapping him or he was undecided on which side to let me go by.... so i pass him then he starts bumping me up the straight and as soon i seen him try to pass i braked and backed off to avoid getting taken out sure enough he totaly missed the corner and i got safely by him.

That was my race

No Paul, I said "Pit window now open for lead lap cars." That is still my fault, I didn't communicate correctly because at the time, you were on 8 while the leaders were on 9, of course, you were going to just click over to 9.
