This is a new game that I have come up with in which each week, a different model of vehicle will be polled with the options coinciding with the generations produced. Your task is to vote on which generation of that vehicle you think is the best. There is no right or wrong, just answer which you prefer.

This is not like the Cool Wall, since you are not deciding whether the car is perceived as cool. However, this may be considered similar to the "Car Polls" series that was on here. I know there were a few polls with car generations polled, but the majority were just general automotive subjects so I don't consider it the same thing.

This thread will be updated accordingly to reflect what you have chosen to be the best generation of the model series. You may submit your suggestion for a model to poll below. For selections, please stick to either full model lines (e.g. Mustang) or to a major trim level of a model that is unique compared to the base vehicle (e.g. Lancer Evolution). You may provide pictures if you'd like, otherwise I will gladly provide them.

So are we able to pick a model series or do you just pick them?

If it's the former, I'll start with this:

Nissan GT-R

1970 Skyline 2000GT-R KPGC-10

Originally I was thinking of just doing the choices myself, but it may be more fun for everyone to make suggestions.

I'd suggest naming it simply as a GT-R poll, as the R35 isn't a Skyline strictly speaking.

I'd suggest having just the 2007 R35 if we are talking generations rather than minor facelifts?
To be fair it isn't just a minor facelift but it is quite significantly different in terms of looks and performance compared to the 2007.

I think the 2017 R35 is different enough from the '07 to be considered a different generation.

We'll have to agree to differ then. I don't think it looks "significantly different" at all, and although never a benchmark reference, Wiki calls it the "2011 Facelift", not really a new generation, with some changes to the headlights, front bumper/grill and rear diffuser.

It's @JASON_ROCKS1998's poll, so he can do whatever he wishes but it is still understandable why he included the 2017 model.

Yeah like I said, it's all good, just didn't agree with you :)

The V8 Ferraris are a nice idea too, perhaps add the 308 and 328? But I guess you can have too many...

No it isn't. It's the same chassis, the same engine, same model designation. It's the same car, just updated over time. The 2007 and 2017 are still both just R35's. Anyone who's ever played a Gran Turismo game, which i guess is quite a high percentage here, will be well aware of how many variations Nissan make of each generation of Skyline/GT-R. Allowing the 2007 and 2017 R35s to be classed as different models can only be opening a can of worms.

Yup, while they are different in a few ways, they are still the same designation and part of the same generation. Thus, there will just be one R35 listed.

Also, the R31 wasn't technically a GT-R and thus would be excluded from the poll.

I would say the Toyota Corolla. but probably every1 would sway to the AE86 its not even funny.

so, Peugout 2 series

Round 1 is almost complete, but it appears that the Evo VI is the clear winner! Bringing up the far rear is the Evo I, with no love from anyone. :P

Round 2 has started, with the ever popular Nissan GT-R being polled.

@JASON_ROCKS1998 Could you possibly shorten the list to either front engine V12 Ferraris or Mid Engine V12 Ferraris? Right now, the poll would have over 30 choices which is quite a lot for the number of people who will probably vote.

Changed list to Ferrari V12 Grand Tourers which narrowed it down to 10 cars.
