@Speedthrill

Thanks, and yhea it's a cool tune, i'll find better for the next vid :).

Quick note though, this isn't the first tandem battle, as we (<ACN>) battled NEMESIS last weekend, which we entered the event with clear rules, quite similar to this one in that it needed allot of sorting out before the flag dropped. However it ran much less smoothly than it could have due to sever connection problems, but was a fun battle in the end.

Ah yeah, oops sorry my mistake. It's even that battle that got me interested in your team after following it. Haha, how could i forget!👍

Can someone tell me when my battle starts? Been waiting patiently for 40 minutes or so now.

Have you contacted your opponent? If your opponent hasn't been able to contacted within the time limit then that person should be a "Bye" soon.

We were suppose to do it yesterday, and he had connection problems, so we postponed it to today, and I'm thinking that we were suppose to do the battle the same time that we did it yesterday, but at the moment I'm clearly not sure.

Try contacting him again and see if we can get an agreement. I think this would become a bye if you guys hasn't settled it within a certain time.

Yep that sounds fair. If the battle doesN't happen today sometime we may have to call it

EDIT: I just checked my GTP pm box and found out he messages me last night. He said that he is having manor issues connecting to the Internet (on his ps3) so may not be able to compete for a while. I'm leaving this up to you Kiesu, your call. Wait for him or take the forfeit

Correct me if i'm wrong but as a judge isn't it your call? ..

I've seen a few violations to one rule in a couple of battles, waiting for a crashed driver. This rule was in place to allow the other driver to score a few points back after a mistake.

Could all drivers take note of this for round 2 to ensure an even competition.

That's a really odd rule to enforce. If there is a mistake by one driver such that he has left the track, he shouldn't have the opportunity to score points back on that run in my opinion, it's a straight 10-0. That's the nature of competitions. Otherwise, at some point, you are running the risk of someone who has crashed winning against someone who hasn't, which is a absurd LOL

I have to say though, I'm tempted to enter either way. Fancy putting my name down for it? :)

Feel free to put your nAme down, please set it out like everyone else
IE.
Real name:
PSN name:

This way it is much easier for me to keep up with entrants. For tournament #2 I am looking at having as many entrants as possible (the next "perfect" bracket is 33 people) so please spread the word

This is really interesting! If possible, please sign me up for tournament #2 :)

Real name: Tiago Veiga
PSN name: Weiga-
Team: Team Burst
Country: Portugal

forgot to mention that if you competed in tournament #1 your name is automatically down for round #2 (unless you ask me to remove it)

Post #201... Congratulations everybody! I have added tiago & James to next round's list, leaving only 7 slots. People who participated in tournament 1 are automatically put in found 2 (unless they request otherwise)

Hmmm, i thought the nature was tandeming, i know i waited for the back drifter.
Infact my brakes are tuned so i can brake and slow the drift down without stopping drifting. ideal for trying to tuck in closely in a tandem when yr behind and the first one makes a mistake or loses speed, brake some more and stay next to him.

this is not a race eh. ;)

Whoa wait, you do mean you're taking names for the next tournament? not just round #2. I think you should concentrate on getting this tounament done first.

And besides, this thread will start to get clogged.

When will the #2 begin? I might not be free and I'm not sure if I want to go through the trouble of judging again...

I think Godfrey is right...shouldn't we wait for this one to end? It seems some trouble has come up and your moving on a bit quick.

Very true, the rounds need to go on first.

With some info on them etc.

Again next track?
Some more runs?
Maybe 3 groups of different battles together in lobby, watching eachother, waiting turns (speeding things up and make it interesting)

Just some thoughts. ;)

Never said it was a race, but the point is, if someone goes off the track or spins, they instantly lose 10-0, so waiting for the other driver is pointless. If you want to do it, that's fine, but it shouldn't be an enforced rule. I, as a judge, always require drivers to complete the course, otherwise it makes judging very difficult. If one driver crashes or spins, the other driver should still show that he can continue through the course without breaking drift.

On the topic of people asking about what new track to use, are you not sticking to one track for the entire round up until the winner is decided, then move onto a new track for the next new competition? Drift comps don't switch track halfway through, you run until you have a winner, then you go to the next round at a different venue. Or have I mis-read it?
