Can you guys make a list of good car model websites preferably 1:18th scale and also british sites to reduce post and packaging costs?

Thanks

got for modelissimo, even though there in germany we are part of the eu so no import tax and shipping is flat rate of 12 euros which is the same as postage within the uk plus their prices are cheaper and only takes 3 days to arrive, and avoid grand prix legends like the plague.

Any other good ones? I am looking at modelissimo right now several that look quite good. But one that I want to buy has to be special....

GT models aren't bad. They've got a shop in Nottingham if you're anywhere near there.

The great thing about Modelissimo is their shipping costs - €12 (£8) for up to 20kg (approx. 10 1:18ths).

I have been searching several sites ranging from GT Models to Minimodelshop and these are the models I am intrested in. Which ones do you guys think is best? I think I am leaning towards the racing cars more as I only have one which is the Lancia Delta Intergrale. I may also post up some pictures of my other model cars and their display housing (well the 1:18th's the 1:24 get a shelf). So which do you recommend?

Kyosho Audi R8 2007 1:18 Special Edition by Audi
Minichamps Jaguar XK Coupe 2006 Dark Green Scale 1:18
Maisto 2002 Infineon Audi R8 #3 Le Mans Racer 1:18
AUTOart 2006 Jaguar XK Coupe 1:18
AUTOart 2005 Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II 1:18
AUTOart 2003 Bentley Speed 8 #7 Le Mans 1:18
AUTOart 2005 Aston Martin DBR9 Number 57 (Sebring 2005) 1:18

I recommend you post some pictures of your collection.

:)

What's your budget? I know the DBR9 is made by Solido too. They're cheaper, and the doors and bonnet open. Andrew (Holdenhsvgtsr) has got one. I've got the No.1 Infineon R8, and for the price (about £20, I seem to remember) it's not bad. Don't know about the others.

Personally I don't want to spend over £60. I will definitly post pics of my collection up tomorrow.

I have the Ford GT LM Spec II. Worth every penny IMO. I'll throw up some pictures for ya.

I also have the DB9R #58. I wish it opened up but it's worth the money.

Here you go :)

Those are the exact same models I've had my eye on the past few days! Though the FORD GT is not avaliable yet, and the #59 DBR9 (http://www.biante.com.au/product_16567.htm) is temporarily out of stock.

I haven't seen my collection for quite some time now, because they are still in Brisbane where I lived last year (5,500 kms away ). I'll hopefully be picking them up in 2 weeks though, so that's something to look forward to.

Anyway, over the past day I've been searching this thread through its last 50 pages.... and I must say, I would kill to own some of the collections I've seen  (especially you Holdenhsvgtsr!). Very nice 👍

Why does some pics say "With sealed body-shell"? I just looked at your collection too, Holdenhsvgtsr  I too would kill for a collection of yours

Wow the Ford GT looks really nice. Certainly looks like its worth the dough. Could you throw up some pictures of the DBR9 as well? I don't mind if it doesn't open or not, if it is detailed enough I would buy it. How much did you pay for that Ford GT LM?
Any way I thought I would post images of my collection! I must apologise for the number plates on the Astons (DB7 & DB9) they have a personalised no. plate which is....well personal, so I have edited them out. My favourite (not trying to sound like a kid here) but is the Enzo it is the most I have ever spent on a model car, and I just love it!

Ferrari Enzo 1:18th

Aston Martin DB7 Vantage 1:18th

Aston Martin DB9 Volante

Aston Martin V8 Vantage 1:18th

Lamborghini Murcielago 1:18th

Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder 1:18th

Lancia Delta Intergrale 1:18th

Maserati Spyder 1:18th

Porsche Carrera GT 1:18th

TVR Sagaris 1:18th

My Display Case

If you want pictures of a specific model then just ask and I will post them. Sorry for the really long post, enjoy!

Woah, I really like the look of that display case, especially how you have the Enzo. 👍

Yeah, so do I its good as every morning when you wake up you can just stare straight into that beautiful case. The Enzo is also on a mirrored turn table made by AUTOart that I got for last Christmas as well as the Enzo. Thanks for your comment.

Nice collection, and I like the case! 👍

I actually have two of them (1 on either side of my TV) in my TV room. Go Ikea!

Wow very nice
Thanks!

 Ikea Rules! I only could have one as my room isn't big enough....once I get my own place then maybe more room for my models but at the moment I am restricted.

Remember I still want to know which you guys think is the best for me to buy. The LM Racer is a possibility but please if you have pictures of any of these please post them! Any of you guy's pictures are better than the manufactures....

thanks guys glad you like them :)

turbo lag it doesnt open cause its only a 1/43 :P my 1/18 FPV GT-P is fully opening with a spare wheel and movible bits in the interior.

btw roo apparently the A9X is the orginal,it is the 1978 but the real one was crashed back in 1979 when it went to another team and some of the difference happened when it was being restored.

I took a few of the R8 here.

The R8 looks good but I still can't decide. I quite like the prospect of owning a AUTOart car though, but also I am not sure if I want to save my money for a digital camera of my own instead of using my Dad's all the time.

Speedster, I can tell you from personal experience, AUTOart is worth it. I spent most of my collection buying Maisto. When I finally bought an AA I was blown away by the sheer detail they put into their cars. Sure it's more money, but it's worth it.
